Good job Scott. Truth is, this is only the tip of the iceberg. There could be hours upon hours of discussion about the Canadian underworld.
Definitely one of the best shows this year! Thanks guys
Thank you!
Probably my favourite episode you've ever done, Scott! Keep the Canadian content coming!
Thanks!
This is a great interview. It really put a lot of stuff that happened over the years in perspective for me.
Scott for love of all holy... Please let the guest speak without interrupting all the time.
I love your work and your quirky enthusiasm. But when you have a professor/special agent/writer on as an expert you need to dial yourself down a little and let the main character speak his mind!
It lessens the interview and the podcast when you're more excited to share YOUR views and opinions than to let the expert have the floor.
A harsh review but from long time fan who wants the best content possible.
100%
thats why he needs Jimmy by his side. He needs that foil and someone to rein him in when he goes down his on the spectrum rabbit holes.
Couldn’t agree more. A good interviewer asks a short question and shuts up!
Yup. He seems to be aware and getting better, but your critique is 100% right.
Well said
Really enjoyed that, Stephen knew his shit
Absolutely one of your best shows/podcasts Scott!. Looking forward to a return interview!!
Would love to hear some more new biker stuff
been waiting for this 1hr canadian episode!!!!! is there one on montreal coming?
Scott this was incredibly well done, as a Canadian who follows this aspect of history it’s really appreciated. God bless.
Thank you!
@@originalgangsterspod no problem Scott, you do great work and it’s much appreciated, I hope you and your family are well.
Amazing thank-you Scott
great interview!
Hey scott! As a resident of the south shore of the island, bless you for this work! Dope content for my weed breaks 😅
This is awesome! Thanks guys!
Glad you liked it!
@@originalgangsterspod never miss an episode! Cheers!
Amazing interview. Been reading both of your works. Thank you both for your work
Thanks for listening
@@originalgangsterspod Scott, the one aspect both of you touched on but did not develop was the Luppino-Violi group. Years ago they would meet on Thursday mornings at the FLA cafe on Barton Street near Sherman Ave in Hamilton. They are the last team standing in Hamilton and the two sons of Paolo Violi I believe are made, one with Buffalo and the other with Bonnanos. There would be a blood feud with the Rizuttos because they wiped out their fathers family. I used to live in Hamilton, ON. The Musitano family were the lesser family of the three in terms of power in the 80s/90s and ran a lot of the street level rackets. That would have been when Pat had the Gathering Place in North James St. The North end in Hamilton was Italian at one point and the Musitanos grew up on Murry St blocks away from the Papalias on Railway St which was a hotbed for organized crime and bootlegging going back to the 20's.
Thank you for taking the time to attempt to navigate the Canadian OC
Probably one of the most factual shows yet, and I would know from the HAMMER
Awesome interview
Shared. Ty.
this place is awesome. this is the REAL dirt you don't get on other casts.
When talking about the “3 capo hit” Gerlando Sciascia’s name is pronounced “Shah-shah”.
Love the content Scott! Much love from Montreal.
THIS MAY BE SOME OF YOUR BEST WORK YET SCOTT
Great podcast Scott, really informative. No doubt the great white north is where things are happening now.
Your analysis of current affairs is impeccable... You should be burying many other sites in subs... Keep it up... Thank you ..
Great work Scott, keep it up.
Thanks!
Don Scott bringing us that premium content every time!!
This one was good, It flew by, you could have did 2 hours , but even better that you are coming back to do this again. I was having a shitty day, and I enjoyed your conversation.
Great episode
Oh wow This was brilliant
Love your Podcast Keep up the good work
Much appreciated!
Great show very interesting
Great podcast.
I am from Hamilton, Ontario. I knew and know all the people you were talking about.
Thanks for listening
Love the way Canadians say' organization'.
Incredible
Very cool
Next level knocked out of the park
Scotty "Quick Hitter" Burnstein
Long time no see
This work is like in the mob, there is no vacation man
😂😂😂😂😂
Best regards
excellent interview. canadian organized crime is way more interesting and eventful. plz try to show some of the connections to the american families/organizations. how involved are the banonos still? are families like the gennovesse active in canada or have relationships
Wowee! Vito was neato! Not silly like philly! Never became moot for the current to holler and hoot. They all came from the boot and would brake it off in your glute.
Vito Rizzuto has the swagger of John Gotti but was smarter.. He was a criminal mastermind, and his empire spanned all around the world. He also put in work too. Came out from a back room with a shotgun blazing in a favour to the Bonanos when he was young in the early 80's.. He was the biggest gangster in North America for a period of time. Great OG.
That’s dope I wanna be a gangster but I’m scared of jail my older bro don’t give a fk he’s in prison rn lol
At their height they were taking in more money than most of the 5 Families combined. Connected by blood to Sicily and the Heroin trade their, Venezuela and of course New York. A few years back the Rizzutto’s were using a front company and planned to invest into a construction project that would build a bridge from Calabria in the Southern mainland to Sicily. It is alleged they were using that to launder 2 billion dollars +.
@@domenicgalata1470 That's exactly right. The family are legitimate Billionaires. I would have loves to have Vito as a mentor in that game. Great guy. One of the top OG's of all time.
Scott . great vid . Would you ever do a piece on Carmine Galante and his time in Montreal . And his role in the French Connection . Galante was , according to many, a feared wise guy and I have heard he became quite a figure in Montreal . He was godfather to one of Vic Cotroni children . And i think the RCMP eventually deported him back to NY . He was suspected of being behind many murders in Montreal , and I heard up to 80 murders in NY . Thanks for the great content .
Awesome idea, thanks!
To give an idea on how toronto, hamilton, niagara falls and Buffalo are intertwined.....oThe only place i know you can use canadian money in the US is the Buffalo Bills Stadium.
There are towns in Northern Maine that take Canadian money. Hell there are towns in Northern Maine that are predominantly French speaking, not English. It’s pretty much Canada. Very strange part of the country.
@@BostonsF1nest I'm from quebec. Never been to these place like old orchard but I'm not suprised that they would take canadian money as well.
@@BostonsF1nest It must be strange in the summer time. On their own most quebec french's are pretty chill. But once gathered in a foreign place they can become quite obnoxious.
@@Palex24 The towns I’m speaking of are way far north. Close to the Canadian border. Far from Old Orchard Beach. Idk if that’s what you’re referring to.
I grew up in North Dakota and they would take Canadian.
It’s really been non stop killin from the mid 70s all the way till now . As far as Canadian mob goes . Pretty wild
Love this ! From Canada and this is all tru as fck
Hey Scott great work . try to get in contact with Anthonio Nicaso he’s an italian crime reporter and author working in Canada . I think he would make a great guest on your show . Trust me look into it
Great idea. Nicaso is a legend. I'll look into it. Thanks, JB
Hamilton is hour away from the border . Fort Erie is 5mins to buffalo
Get a microphone, like your guest...it's difficult for your listeners to hear you..good job
Love the Can-Con! First off, sad to hear of the passing of Marvin Elkind. I had the pleasure of briefly meeting him once in 2002. Got to shake that meaty hand, lol! Second, the Violis are connected to the Luppinos through marriage, yes, but Paolo Violi was the connection. He married Giacamo Luppino's daughter. So Dom and Joe are Giacamo Luppino's grandsons.
Can we see that induction video
Friendly canada i live in canada and shit gets crazy here most time you get for planned murder is 25 , you get caught with kilos and your getting out in 5 unless they really want to put you down
I take it Vito Rizzutto's son didn't have the Old Man's skill & street Cred?
How come no one ever talks about Don CiCi from Terrebonne?
City 5 minutes from the US one would be more like Windsor and Detroit, they are a bridge away from each other much like Oakland and San Francisco
Scott B... GREAT Guest. He definitely knows his stuff on Italian organized crime in Ontario. 🔥💯 BUT PLEASE STOP INTERRUPTING HIM.
Even though I know you wanna let him know... You know your stuff!!👊🏻
Considering his boss, Pappale got whacked 6 weeks before, how wise was it to answer the front door without a 12 Guage???
Where’s Dr. Buccellato?
VITTO KEPT IT CALM ...BY WORKING TOGETHER AS 1 AND NOW LOOK
Was one of a kind
This Is your niche ..Canadian OC
Scotty loves to interrupt 😮daaamn
Make video on Russell Buffalinos true successor Louis Denaples. He’s worth billions
Good one!
Thanks!
Hamilton is more like Newark, Oakland, Modesto, or Stockton
It used to be white until Hells Angels showed up with the police 👮
If I’m not mistaken the west end gang supported the dark circle during the biker war. Gerald gallant the best hit man for the rock machine was employed by the west end gang. Richard matticks supplied the Rock machine with drugs during the biker war. I always figured they were supporting the rock machine behind the scene during the war. I wonder how they are playing the rizzuto- hells angels situation now
All researchers say that both bikers groups during and after the war did not respect the mafia and did not consider them real gangsters. They did respect the Irish and considered them real gangsters. Both bikers gangs bought there product off the Irish mob before and after the war. The bikers asked Irish mob boss Gerald matticks to step in and end the war, not vito. Vitos created the consortium, which was one of Vitos greatest achievements. The Canadian equivalent to the new York commission, it brought the Irish, hells angels and mafia together to keep peace, carve up territories and set drug prices. No disrespect to Vito, he was one of the greatest Bosses ever.
Well French-canadian criminals never repescted the mafia. There was always some rivalry between french-canadian and the italians
If it wasnt for Vito the Irish ,hells, and blacks would still be selling nickel bags in the park . And that’s a fact
@@victorg8105 Well the Irish were making a ton of money before Vito. Stop D riding
DETROIT AND WINDSOR HAS BEEN QUIET FOR YEARS
A few years back I read that Joe Bravo (Fernandez) was made by Vito Rizzuto. Apparently he was the first non-Italian to be made as he was of Spanish decent. Have you heard about this rumour? Greetings from Woodbridge, Ontario.
Yeah he's probably lying
Rizzutto apparrantly made both Fernandez and Desjardins
@@HardKnocks-pi7pc only according to bravo. Desjardins denied it
I'm sorry but there is nothing worse than someone trying to tell a story as a guest only to have the conversation railroaded and the topic changed without the guest finishing their story.
Scott always has to but in on his informed guests with his Disney version of events. So rude Scott.
Scott loves the sound of his own voice. Cutting off a guest to talk about a nobody union guy. Sheesh.
Not a perfect comparison, but when Saddam was deposed...all went to HELL
VITO RIZZUTO🐐
God Bless The Mafia ❤
Scott I really enjoy your longer epeisodes. Used to enjoy Nadiu but now he’s like Fox News - loves to blow hot air and talk about himself, flirt withand kiss ass to his money donators.
Your my favor and I’ve unsubscribed from Jeff - please keep it up!
Thanks!
Hamilton is also one of the major cities for outlaw bikers!
Hamilton is not on the border, it would take at least an hour to get to the border.
