I’m a lifelong Rhode Island resident and growing up I remember Tim white’s father Jack White he was the man in the day. Love the podcast brother keep up the great work ❤
I remember he got his arm and nose broken by the Rhode Island Wise Guys for sticking cameras in their face.
Born and raised in Providence. Worked in the building trades. For over 35 years. Work with some of these men. They were gentlemen. Let me tell ya .this state to me was a lot safer when I was growing up
Thank you for the update on the fam , haven’t heard much of them now . Gigi portalla should be out soon
I have become loyal listener. This episode is top shelf. I'm from East Haven Connecticut and 65

Very very good job fellas you have me as a loyal fan really informational.
Much appreciated!
I lived in Rhode Island my whole life. The state feels like Detroit or worse on a rainy day. Its sadly a ghetto. No wages. Very expensive rents. Hard livin.
Yea it’s a total shit hole lol. And rent is so expensive you might as well just move to Boston where there’s more opportunity and things to do
I lived in R I for 57 years I grew up there and I have to agree with you 100% as soon as I retired sold my house and left the State The politicains Ruined The state ,,
Sounds like a typical Democrat run state in 2024.
@@BostonsF1nestBoston isn’t far behind the way they’re enabling illegal immigrants to take over the streets.
@@frankm.4651Where did you move too?
I remember Providence in the 1970's & 1980s. I met Nicky Bianco once.
Love the New England content
'Baby Shacks'??? You gotta love the LCN goombas nicknames. Another killer show.
Informative conversation, thank you both for sharing your insight and expertise.
I grew up in Framingham, MA about 40min north of RI. My good friends Dad was New England mafia affiliated and spoke highly of Raymond Patriarca
Growing up in RI, Raymond Patriarca was the man.
Pawtucket here 🤘

He took care of my grandfather when he was involved in a machinery accident.

From RI. Great episode Scott
Great episode scott. how about a episode on highwaymen or breed mc or even devils diciples
Did time with Carmen in Florence Co. Back in the mid 90's! Played a lot of heart's and spades, and moved a lot of merch together back then! From Big Hammer to the big cheese! Hope your well Sir🎉
My grandfather and his brothers were friends with the Patriarcas way back in the day. I have a picture of them sitting at the very table I'm sitting at right now. Its a small world.
Says a lot about you Brophy. If you have the same table from that far back it's time for a makeover or renovation of your furniture lol Just breaking balls I still got stuff from way back too. I'd love to see that picture.
@@peterpeter-jo6gd it's sitting in my grandmother's kitchen. It's a decent table, thankfully. Lol
Just having some fun with you. No disrespect meant as I think you understand.
Legendary !! 😄
Would love to see something on *St. Louis's Giordano Crime Family!* Don Anthohy 'Tony G' Giordano - & to a lesser degree, two-time acting-boss & longtime consigliere John Joseph ''Johnny V' Vitale - they were legends in Midwestern Cosa Nostra!
That was a waste of time for the FBI
Chasing Italians. There are worse problems
Waste of time??? The Italians were the only drug smugglers until the cocaine era were others made money to be able to smuggle weight
@@vladimirputinforUSAuh yeah? Maybe because that was over 40 years ago? Now the Italians play cards so what's your point?
@@Don_Salieri1899 WTF are you talking about??? He said it was a waste of time, and I said back then the Italians were the only smugglers before the late 70s. WTF are you trying to get at
@@vladimirputinforUSA it is a mf waste of time
IYKYK
The reason they don’t like to change their names Tim is because that would basically give law enforcement a current admission to who is running the family. Same thing with most of the families (Columbo, Gambino etc)
Nice to hear from Tim; a guy who doesn’t speculate or interrupt “look at me look at me” just pure facts that are supported
So the opposite of Scott
Yes completely. The constant interruptions of “I know everything, I’m the complete expert blah, blah, blah.” Are so old. Yea we know you wrote books.
@@Nciswit1 lol Scott is wrong about so much and it's obvious when he's making things up
Yet here you guys are watching Scott's show. Scott is the man and anyone with a brain knows that. Respect greatness, ya bums!!! Thank you for another awesome episode, Scott!!!
@@MTL2z honestly I don't think Scott makes anything up, he's got sources and he puts things together best he can. Tim White is incredible but he's no Scott burnstein. Tim even said wow you have your finger on the pulse of what's going on
As always great podcast
Thanks for listening
Scott if your a Boston Guy like myself or NE guy this was a fantastic episode ! Tim is great been following him a long time ! Lots of great stories tonight from back in the day tied in to current events ,really enjoyed listening Thx. I've asked you if you have an email available before with NO reply back would love to share a few stories with ya ,I could expand a little on the JG , LI Wedding ,Boston Guys Story !
I live in norrhern Sweden and think it was fantastic 😂 must be even more interesting for your locals
Tim at his best not to say anything that will put himself in harms way with any New England gangsters. 😅
I find Vincent The Animal Ferrara compelling. Has a college degree and no one knows how involved he still is
He’s definitely still involved to some degree. The feds were going after the source of his income a couple years ago
He's the best. Still drinking espresso at Venda
Love Tim White! Great reporter
I think it’s important to point out that the North End of Boston is a very small neighborhood. It’s not like Brooklyn or Queens. Or even Dorchester or Charlestown for that matter. So when something happens in the area- everyone knows almost immediately lol.
Providence was never the same since the office days. Trust me my great uncle was the old mans driver
Tim white is a national treasure , proud to be a Rhode Islander , real reporter, not to many left
Being from outside of Boston there was a lot of good info here. Interesting.
Do more content on Mulligan. Real low key powerhouse
Don't forget Bobo marrapese
I knew his cousin!
Very very interesting
We Need Them Back Here In Rhode Island 💪
My Grandfathers both did business with almost all the families. But I never heard them doing business with Uncle Ray.
I’m pretty sure even if they did, they wouldn’t tell you. You’re online putting their business for the world to see, they knew their grandkid was going to be no good
Now that I see this is a recent post: I asked my grandmother because my grandfather is passed- her parents knew Sr from his bootlegging days or earlier and my grandfather and his brothers grew up with Junior. We're cousins to the RI/Vegas Nicolettis (Furtaw/Brophy)
......You are right, because I grew up with Jr. ... ...Old Naples Florida🌴🎨.........I wish you the Best♥
This was no small undertaking to produce, given that the Patriarca family was relatively obscure. My godfather Danny (in the traditional context) was a singer with a show band. He had a few weeks of gigs in New England, took me along as his shadow :) I was 11 or 12. One of the coolest cats I ever met was one of Ray Patriarca's right-hand men. He treated me like a nephew. He owned the club in Johnston where Danny sang; a stripper and standup comedian filled the bill. Among the best summers of my entire life...... hanging out with the stripper in her dressing room was no issue :) I'd already read "The Godfather" and "Honor Thy Father" (biography of Joe and son Bill Bonanno). A name I knew from "The Valachi Papers, "Gino the Irish" was a regular there.
My dad and Uncle Tony would take me with them to federal hill to see the old man ray sr when i was 14 i would play the pinball machines he had in his club .
Whats the numbers of this family? How many captains?
Probably 3-5 capos
@garystevenson8222 I doubt it’s that many. Total made guys in the family is probably around 30. If there’s even that many. With a mixed group of associates. I know one of the DiNunzio’s sons recently got made, or one of their nephews.
Most of the made guys have been around for decades. A guy like Matty Guggliametti for example- he’s definitely a capo but I doubt he’s got more than a couple guys reporting to him regularly. He wants to stay removed from it all and out of prison. Dino Guilmette is under Matty- who they talk about briefly, I don’t think he’s made yet but he’s definitely an active member. He’s allegedly a major drug dealer. He’s currently facing an indictment for trafficking pills.
NOLA used to run the south with 7 made men and lots of associates.
Deluca and Frank met and had dinner in my restaurant on Tuesdays in the late 90's! scary dudes...as the owner I waited on them as the staff was terrified!
How come you scared? I thought they where pretty low key guys. Are they really that intimidating in person?
What was the restaurant? I'm interested in that era. Thanks
Tim is the best
I completely agree with the tim white quote on salemme really only ratting on the fbi I personally feel the same way connelly, bulger, flemmi all 3 agents lol great show guys!!
Lol…..hands on boss, blue collar and hard working. That was good Tim
Remember when Pauly said "idk T, I did this guy over 30 YEARS ago" here we are talking about hits from the early to mid 90's. Everybody in RI needs to get a life, create a wage exc.
What Trump did in 2016 (throwing the country into panic, riots exc.) is way more dangerous and illegal than any 30 year old murder between washed up old wise guys. Hilarious. Pathetic. Scary. Sad.
Louis and Eddie are very much loved by friends and family they are great guys always we're and always will be
My Uncle Carmen Tortorra is a made guy i used to play at.my aunts house i thought it was cool but let me tell you she worked 2 jobs and its so true when a made guy is locked up they dont help until they get.out
They haven’t changed family names since probably the 50s. Gambino, genovese etc all are dead, family names are the same
I meet Arthur Coia in Hartford Ct
Interesting what was that like? How did you meet him? What did you guys chat about?
Frank was from St. John, St. Jamaica Plain!!!!!
Casserta has the best pizza
Hey does everyone in Rhode Island know that Michael Franzese is coming to speak about the life December 30th.. i got my tickets.. if your interested you should definitely check it out!!
“There not in The North End anymore there in Medford in Revere” 😉
The Ming Dynasty in Plymouth
RIP BIG AL BRUNO 🙏🙏🙏
Great boss
Hi carmine! Hi Anthony! Miss ya guys.
Frank never asked anyone to strangle someone that he couldn't choke himself.
since when can't an UB swear guys in ? Of course Lato could do it, probably with less scrutiny than the Cheese getting to RI
If they have the Boss Blessing they probably could get away with it 🤷♂️, Knowing the Violent nature of the New England family the Boss might to avoid rubbing others wrong way allow them to induct their own guys & beef up there Crew, rather than have to get everything ran by him.
@@Frosty98206it has nothing to do with violence at this point. And everything to do with not wanting to get caught in the same room together making guys on a wiretap.
It’s definitely not as structured as it used to be or like they’re making it seem. Not to mention the family is small and the amount of guys getting made is limited. And if your name is even being discussed in that regard that means you’ve been around the family for years, and the bosses know the new made guys extremely well. They’re not just handing out buttons down on Prince Street. Guys being inducted are probably either blood related or grew up with them in the neighborhood.
It’s not like DiNunzio and Lato are suddenly presented with a long list of names they’ve never heard of before lol. It’s something that’s been in the works and been discussed way ahead of time. If there’s anyone presiding over the ceremony it’s probably a capo and taking place in some suburban house in Providence or restaurant basement. You’ll see them around the North End from time to time but they don’t have a social club there. Nor do they publicly operate any businesses there. I’m sure they have a piece of this business or a piece of that restaurant but they’re smart enough to not all conjugate together in that neighborhood- it’s changed a lot anyways.
Like I said, it’s nowhere near as structured and formal as these guys are making it seem like.
They let captains hold ceremonies

Too much glamorizing of mob by media but i make most of my living in media off it 😅
Talk about BOSTON who cares about RI its a postage stamp& farmville
Bc when Raymond was Boss he ran EVERYTHING!
Their making ceremonies are nowhere near as structured as you guys are making it seem. They’re a small family to begin with so if your name is even being considered in that regard it means everyone in that family has known you and been around you for years, or they’re blood related to someone. I highly doubt DiNunzio and Lato are actually carrying out the ceremonies themselves in the North End of all places. That’s a quick way to get yourself tied up in a RICO. It’s probably conducted by a capo in some non discreet suburban home or business.
Massachusetts
Honestly, I don't think there's a single parking garage in the North End so you need to note that
Yes there is on commercial street it's good size... these other parking lots and garages throughout the west end ect.
There’s a bunch of them lol
The old Brinks security warehouse is a parking garage.
They seem to be glorying criminals
Big dangleberry joe is the new boss I heard n he didn’t even get mentioned????
Tim white is legit
Tim white is no mob expert
RI organized crime did not go to Boston, they merged with our government. That is the problem.
Vincent M. Marino if he wants will be a powerhouse when he gets out.
@MikeF-hb8uz obviously you know nothing. You just read newspapers
