  • The badminton backhand lift in detail, learn it easy in this cool tutorial. The badminton backhand lift is very important when playing, learn how to master 3 different levels. The grip is a bevel grip or a push towards the badminton backhand grip (thumb grip), see cool slow motions and POV footage.🤩
    Level 1: The big easy swing with a lot of arm movement.
    Level 2: The smaller movement and adding some fingerpower
    Level 3: Only use fingerpower and small powerful forearm rotation.

    Hi Thomas, I really enjoy watching your video a lot. The way you go through the details of the shot is fantastic. But can you help me clear my doubts about a topic. What is rhythm in badminton? How does it affect your game and how to improve it? I hope you can make a video about it. Thank you

    Excellent video. Are the outcomes of all 3 shots identical? Presumably? It would have been useful to see what happens to the shuttle in each case?

    Thanks, I'm having difficulty lifting to the back in doubles, after a cross court net shot has been played. It often just hits the net and goes up in the air, or only to mid court. 🤔
    Your courts are super clean and just for badminton👀.
    At some of the places that I play, it looks like the London underground map and you can see the dirt and dust.

    Hi Thomas, I noticed that pros really do the over the shuttle slice when playing lifts, is this to make them flatter or/and to make them more accurate? What About forehand lifts? Should we slso add that over the top ( slice from bottom to top) motion? Thanks!

    • @jessechoi571
      @jessechoi571 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel when I slice the shuttle:
      1. Its harder to go out (after some practice)
      2. It gives you better reach

    • @BadmintonFamly
      @BadmintonFamly  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mostly thumb grip but you can use the bevel as Well and when you push with the fingers the grip can rotate within the hans ending up pushing with the thumb💪🏻

    This is the first time I am hearing about using the bevel grip for the backhand lift. Any reason as to why you recommend it?
    I mean for the short movement lifts, you can rotate to generate power, but what is the point in the big swing, high lift?

    • @chitung2277
      @chitung2277 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      How can someone get the upwards angle if they use thumb backhand grip ? I would think use thumb grip for back hand drive with some of these actions to get sharp flat drives.

    • @neeldhebar2350
      @neeldhebar2350 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chitung2277 Actually you are right. I did not realise but I too rotate my grip when doing lifts.

    • @chitung2277
      @chitung2277 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think we naturally rotate the grip slightly to get the angle for the lift. However, some people don't rotate their grip for forehand smash or clear so the racquet face is not straight but angled. That one they don't realise they need to change the grip because it's still possible to hit but it becomes an very inefficient and inefficient shot.
