I just found your channel and I’m obsessed! These are such valuable insights, you’ve really named your channel accurately. Cannot wait for more videos 😊
Happy new year! I am a badminton enthusiast from Hong Kong. Thank you so much for putting in the effort to create each video. Your content is very interesting and easy to understand. My badminton skills are improved so much after watching your video for a month. Thank you for your dedication!
The production value is off the charts and higher than any of the lifts shown here! Great work you two! I have been advocating for tactics videos and you two delivered! The flat lifts are definitely the most popular especially off a serve. In doubles, it's a great tool to catch the rear player off guard or get them out of position. The risk is high if not executed properly or if the racket is not back to ready position for the smash/drive block.
Thank you, i always wondered, how to best defend (how to lift tactically) in Doubles. I thought, making it flatter is the way to go from a defending position to an attacking, which should be the goal in defending. But that is definitely not the best idea, when the opponent can easily play it in balance. So lifting high, waiting patiently for the counter opportunity, is the way to go 💪
Aloha Coaches Greg and Jenny, everything you wanted to know about flat and high lifts. Appreciate the small things that will enable me to reach the next level. So much to unpack, a plethora of information. Thank you Coach. Love your perspectives and insights as well as your innovative drills. Your summary is spot on. Always look forward to your Sunday video. Stay well.
Great ‘insight’ as always, love you sharing your knowledge and really liked the exercises at the end! Will definitely try them out, they don’t look easy!!
Hello thank you for recommending me to go to TRME sports and I used your discount to buy a racket but I also met Lauren smith! Still currently in MK but thank you
Another really helpful explanation of these actions. With indoor courts open again here it's time to practice these and other strokes from previous videos.
Thankyou so much for this. Lift is one of my weakest areas. My lifts are not consistent at all, sometimes their half length sometimes they go out. Thankyou for the lifting tutorial I will work more on it
WOW. Another really awesome video! Tutorials have been done so many time, but never as awesome as yours. Really something special and truly your signature. How about drops and chops in the same format? Cheers.
Your channel is great .. I'm a beginner and I had a problem with wrist pain because of wrong grips during backhand and doubles return.. now I'm getting it corrected gradually. Thank you so much for all these videos. Could you please do a video on the jump smash because I hardly get it right. If even if it does, I don't feel I'm doing it right.. because I'm lacking power in the shot....
Thanks for suggesting a video on the jump smash! In case you missed it we actually released this last Sunday on our channel, you can find it here - th-cam.com/video/Seony5Owsb8/w-d-xo.html 😀 Hopefully it answers the questions you had and is useful, if not please let us know anything else you're unsure of!
I really have to add more high lifts to my game. I do too many flat lifts and also my "high" lifts are definitely not high enough. Thank you for the video... extremely useful as always 👍
Flat lifts are best for giving a bit of mental pressure and high lifts for taking out the strengths from opponents 😂😂😂 Nice info tho.... Gonna surely use it 🔥🔥🤘🏼
Shuttles usually come in different speeds. The speed is also impacted by things like the heat of the hall and even how they are stored. AS30's come in different speeds, some are fast and some are slow!
Hey Badminton Insight,I just wanted to learn how to do the reverse sliced backhand shot so did you guys make a video on that if yes then please share the link
Hi, If someone lifts high to me twice and I'm in a very good position what shud I play, I have noticed that if im under and behind the shuttle and waiting for the shuttle my jump smash isn't as great what is another shot/shots to play?
in flat lift if the opponent plays crosscourt? ie when i am in the right front and the shuttle hit by the opponent is crossed to left back end or anywhere in the left?
@@apsreelathanagendra204 Ideally RTH China jump intercept and smash or else defensive flat backhand/backhand clear. edit: This is assuming you are right handed.
@@apsreelathanagendra204 If crossed from the front left side (your backhand side) then again you can China jump or else play any forehand shot, it should be easier in this situation.
the big follow through response is how to I respond to most shots. The problem is my school gym roof because every high lift will hit the roof when we play badminton. Sigh.

What are fast and slow shuttles? New and old? What shuttles you practice with and how do you manage them? Are Yonex AS30 a fast or slow shuttle?
