    Nick, Thanks for going the extra mile for us by slipping under that line, down to the swim platform and into the crew cabin. I think I can speak for your subscribers in saying we appreciated that. Your friend

    I thought the galley down layout would have killed the guest accommodations but my lord this boats use of space is fantastic! This boats caliber of amenities is that of a 80-90 foot yacht but in a sports design! Amazing! No compromise at all in all aspects power, looks, and accommodations. As for the "crew" cabin, I would have kept it a one person layout, the two people layout is very impractical and not private, if one where to take a shower the other would be in plain view.

    Hi Nick. Lots of natural light and space. Love the dark wood and grey. Perfect lower galley and additional dining. 2x 1550hp almost formula 1 power. Great video as always.

    Very nice video as usual Nick, but that crew door, do not like the way that opens at all, I can see lots of accidents occurring.side hinges opening to the left would be a lot better, in mho.

    To echo some of the other comments below, its a bit odd in places. Almost feels like they had a list of items that had to be included and just randomly fitted them in wherever they could. The sink on the Flybridge being the oddest placement i've seen barring that one (forget the boat) where part of the galley overhung a stairwell. Well done though for getting so much in in the limited time you must have for viewing these craft at boats shows - splendid work as always.

      Nathan09786 I look at cockpits like back porches, and every house I’ve ever lived in that had a back porch, they never got used. I would much rather have indoor space.

    • @turre1160
      @turre1160 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Nathan09786 yeah but in the Mediterranean people would usually prefer outdoor space which is what this boat is about. If you want indoor space you would usually go for a flybridge yacht

    • @johnchurchill458
      @johnchurchill458 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would think the crew area on a yacht this size and type are rarely used as intended (crew), and more likely for storage or guest overspill of the main cabins.

    • @oneslackr
      @oneslackr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The way the door for the tiny space called a crew cabin opens on this boat & the Sunseeker Predator 74 needs to be redesigned. What made them decide to hinge it from the bottom? It's ridiculous. Most boats have these doors hinged from the top or side.

    Thanks for the great video Nick. Apart from that access to the sink on the flybridge wet bar there seems to be a fair bit of unreasonable criticism about this yacht. I like the Sunseeker 76 yacht, probably the nearest flybridge version of this except that it has 4 cabins. The 74 Sport Yacht in my view is far sexier and more desirable and it has a flybridge. Sunseeker have worked hard to design a sleek, breathtakingly beautiful vessel at what I class as good value. Quality and storage is exceptional and the comprehensive galley down with breakfast nook is a master stroke. One of these in the Med is perfect.

    Thanks, great video as always. Lovely style and materials, and njce looks from the outside. But weird and highly impractical layout it seems. Galley below the stairs, space craving but weirdly small dinette for... whom? Cramped VIP head shared with third cabin riff raff 😉, Oversized vanity/desk in Master, Fly bridge sink aligned with stairway hole so presumably only wing clad angels and demons can use it conveniently, The crew cabin door is a workplace accident lawsuit waiting to happen, and the washing machine cramped down there in the rabbit burrow like it's an afterthought from the same morning. "Oh damn, Aquaholic's doing the tour in an hour. Quick! Flop a washing machine in just about anywhere wheter you can find a space for it, or not."

    Thanks Nick ~ a beauty as always ! No Squeaky Floors ! I like the Meile appliances but the laundry in the crew cabin is out of the way, I prefer stacked washer and dryer in the accommodations area ( But I prefer cruising yachts) . The Simrad electronics are a bit of a letdown. My preferences are Garmin Raymarine and if I had money to burn Furuno. It seems to have yacht systems that are popular and have widespread use would be best. But just my 2 cents.

  • @drouleau
    @drouleau 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Unlike others, I actually love the layout of this boat (although if I won the lottery, I would likely opt for the non-flybridge model). I don't need 4 cabins....3 is perfectly fine. I'd turn the crew cabin into storage, however (I do a lot of cycling and need a place for my bikes). At first I thought the galley down layout was kind of weird, but I prefer to have a more seamless entertaining/relaxing space as it is with this boat.....and it's not like you're going to spend hours in the galley anyway, so it's a non-issue (it is well laid out too for a small but workable area). All in all, the ideal boat for a larger size sports cruiser that checks all the boxes.

  • @Dobermanator
    @Dobermanator 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I really wanted to like it a whole lot more than I did. It has the Galley down which I think adds to the usable living space, I find the Galley aft often creates one large catered party room, a lot less of a home style. The sport bridge cruiser and this my max size for owner / operator is my favourite however this particular layout does not cover all the checks, well on the flybridge anyway.

    Not too sure about this boat, I think I've become a fan of the aft galley layout that can service the cockpit as well as an inside dinette. Also this boat seemed very noisy which I assumed was air conditioning. Didn't like the crew cabin access, seemed unnecessarily risky to use. • @DanFrederiksen
    @DanFrederiksen 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Odd door design for the crew dungeon. Lovely boat of course but I'm not sure the down galley is the optimal choice although the layout is not without merit. It's not a layout like all the others but I think a 74 can have a considerably more impressive main deck by reducing the cockpit and aft sunbed.
    I would like to see a solution where the bathing platform doubles as electric tender so you avoid the garage. Should be possible.

    • @darthkek1953

    While I love Sunseeker I dont particulary like some of the setup.
    No bar and ice maker or mini fridge on main deck by the interior sitting area. Is there a washer/dryer other than in the crew cabin which you demonstrated is a pain in the ...... to get to with the passarel extened?
    Otherwise I love the lower deck setup. With the galley and breaskfast nook. You wouldnt think you were in a boat. Great job there. And 3 cabins with their own heads is great.
    Im sure there is a way to remidy the shortfalls I mentioned by adding options.
    Otherwise a great yacht.

  • @fergiedi69
    @fergiedi69 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice work again Nick. I sensed this isn't your favorite type of boat. The layout is awkward and all of the cabins opening
    into the galley isn't something I'd want to do on a $3,220,000 US boat. The crews quarters would be more useful as
    a brig. Also the bridge configuration is not laid out well, it looks like the designer was told by the builder what they
    wanted and he "forced" to make room for it all.

  • @DBO3671

    Lovely boat, but .. I feel this is over the top in terms of lounge areas. Indoor, outdoor, top, front, etc .. how many lounges do six people need?

      @@TheIdontcarewhat Same, don't like the idea of exiting cabin or toilet and straight being in the galley either. For this price there are far better options on the market imo..

    What were the double doors opposite the wine cooler on the stairs?

    Do you stand on top of the sundeck door to use the sink? Does that also mean you walk around the guard rail to go from the BBQ to the sink?

    just curious, with boats like this with 300-400 nM range, do they have trouble hopping around the Med or are fueling opportunities plentiful?

    • @AQUAHOLIC
      @AQUAHOLIC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No problem at all, it's what these boats are made for. 300 miles would take you along the entire French south coast with plenty to spare.

    All was looking good until the positioning of the sink on the flybridge.

      I think 'Silver Fast' as I once cruised on that yacht from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and it was exceptional

    Curious do you think you'll ever run off of new 80 plus yachts to dreul over?🙈🙉🙊

      There are plenty of 80ft+ yachts already on the channel :)

    The crew door looks impossible to get in and out of. You'd better have short feet if you are on that top crew bunk, and is the flybridge sink above the companion way? How exactly are you meant to use it?

    Not much of a crew cabin Nick, when would you have crew onboard that would need that space? Not quite got it right with the layout maybe.

    At 6:05 you forgot to mention the steering controls hidden next to the steps up to the flybridge. This lack of detail and absentmindedness is something we don't expect to see on Aquaholics channel :-)

    For 2.3 million I’d expect the air vents at the helm to be from something a bit more upmarket than a 2014 Ford Fiesta.
