I personally would love to see a "day in the life", as an olympian I think it would be interesting to see how big athletes live their lives!
Facts
Just constantly eating and running and sleeping. Not much variety
And sex :)
This summer i quit football and started running. My preferred distance is 800m and i went from 2:10 in december to 1:58 last week! Your videos are really nice since they give a lot of tips and motivation so thanks for that! Greetings from Belgium!
Amazing improvement man!
You gonna be the next Callum Elson
@@castlebear199 thank you man!!
What was your secret to breaking two mins in the 800? I’m tryna to break that time my self
@@ajbarber7861 it might sound a bit cliché but consistency and discipline have been key for me. I've been doing 3 long runs every week and 2 sessions on the track to improve the pace, which is also really important. Its also very benificial to have other athletes in the race that run just a bit faster that you, so can try to keep up with them which makes it easier to break your PR. This was the case in my last race and it helped a lot
Can you break down the basics of strength work for mid-distance and distance runners? I only ever see strength stuff for sprinters
I would love to see all of your running singlets. That would be cool.
Omg this is gold
Could we see behind the scenes of what it was like signing with Nike? What was negotiating like? What are things fans wouldn’t know? Etc
Can't believe they brought back the speed racer!!! I ran in those in the early 2000s. They need to bring back the Nike Vapor
As a middie who’s trying to be successful in cross I was wondering since Uve been able to throw down legit longer distance times if you could do a video on maintaining your speed even with higher volume mileage? Love your vids man congrats on all the success
Just the content I came to see
How do the new Vic’s compare to the maxfly? Are they just as aggressive?
thanks
Have you ever tried the Streakfly's?
Never thought I'd see someone do recovery runs in Vaporflys! Interesting...
Why maxfly and dragonfly but no air victory? Seems like it would be between the two
I also like the orange/peach upper more
Im scared to become an 800 runner bc im 23 years old, any thoughts? I wanna be a sprinter but sometimes i think id be a better 800 guy. Im a 22.02/47.90 200/400 guy but my 800 in hs was 1:50:35. My 400 was my best event but the 800 is super close if you compare on the scoring tables. Would 1:39 be harder than 42.99?
I’ve got the highlight vaporflys
I dont see Nike Air Zoom Victory in the list, are they so worse for 800 m?
Maxfly are better?
Thank u for reviewing us so much about your running shoes !
What is your opinion about the victorys? And would you rather suggest the victorys or the dragonflys for the 800?
i use dragonflys, and for me they are amazing
@@asmundsundefrde6412 Personally I only wore victorys and really like them, but I see a lot of people wearing dragonflys, I just had and have the fear that they are for longer distances and that the 800 is kind of too fast for dragonflys
U should come down to glen oak some day and watch a race or workout.
Tks for your vídeos. You are inspiring. Cheers from brazil.
But One doubt, why dont you use the zoom air victory spikes ?
Tks and congrats
I have used them before! Wore them in this year's Bowerman Mile. I'm a forefoot runner and need a stronger plate for my 800m races though otherwise i'll crack the plate from the stride force😬
@@ClaytonMurphy800 tks for your answer. I wish u all the best. Merry Christimas and a great new year.
Goated
You know you got it good when you wear next% for easy runs
Ayy bruh you never told us that you raced at the 2022 Prefontaine Classic in the mile....I completely forgot but yeah that's pretty interesting
Crazy how he’s using carbon for easy runs… I save mine for workouts and racing 🤷♂️
Would mamba V be a good choice for XC?
thoughts on the nike zoomx invincibles
Have you ever won the air zoom victory's? If so, what do you think?
Streak LTs FTW!
Have you ever tried the Air Zoom Victory’s? I feel like they are the ideal 800m shoe
The air Vic to me is the best 800m shoe because it’s aggressive but has cushion, but it does destroy your calves and leaves your legs drained unlike the dragonfly so just like the maxfly be careful with them
Modern day Nick Symmonds
I think both Clayton and Nick have run 1:42 + change in the 800.
@@europaeuropa3673 yeah
@@europaeuropa3673 both times in the olympics where rudisha won the race
The max fly seems very similar to the air zoom victories
Just stiffer and foam in the rear
How can I get this type of shows kindly?
Do you like the vics?
how many pairs of shoes do you rotate through currently(Trainers, flats, spikes)?
sheesh i really couldn't tell you lol it's a lot
No invincibles? Or did I miss it.
Wanna see nutrition and diet
What about the Nike victory’s
Intro song?
Man... to have an unlimited shoe budget... also no zoom victory's?
What’s in my meet bag
do you read the comments?
Nike sponsored I assume. I ran cross country was always an ASICS guy
Why do you only wear Nikes? Have you tried the vibram five fingers? You could easily dip under 1:40 with those
The toes are natural spikes. #freethetoes
Please send me shoes btw. Mens Sz 9.
I am sure he is sponsored by Nike. Therefore that would be one of the reasons he wears that brand.
Dude he’s sponsored by Nike
@@wyattgilbert3628 woooosh
Streakflysss??????
5:48 Nike gonna drop you if you mention that you wore anything else
a lot of these shoes are only available to top colleges and pro athletes...
how’d it feel to get out kicked by a high schooler
Have you ever thought of going bald? Wouldn’t that help go faster?
negligible tho
why is the audio shifting into my right ear sheesh bro that was irritating
Must be sponsored by Nike lol
Clayton, some of these shoes aren’t even sold anymore on nike, we don’t have the luxury of a nike athlete to get shoes that aren’t sold to the public anymore
The point of the video was to show what shoes he wears, so it doesn’t really matter whether or not they are available to the public
