Clay I did a workout similar to yours 10x400m. @65 and in the form 4x400 + 3x400 + 3x400 tho between I took too long to recover at 8mins. Thanx for sharing this workout as well. As always keep us up to date you're the champ bro. You inspire me. Am fighting for 1:53mins 800.
I did a similar workout too back in the day. I would start out at 75 and finish at 70, maybe 69 if I was feeling really good. You STARTED at 68 lol Jesus, you're too fast, my guy. I was fighting to break 2 mins for all that.
Hey Clayton, is that really a spin mop in the back seat of your Jeep? I got one ,it’s awesome! Cool work out too , used to do 20 x 400 in 63 seconds back in college in the 1970s. But I think we got too long of a recovery during the sets and could have done less reps with a shorter rest interval. Probably would have got more benefits.
@@ClaytonMurphy800 know what else is awesome? Our house girl uses it so I don’t have too , she is really awesome!!! Good luck Dude, I’m a big fan of yours!
Yeah depends what d1 program you want to run for! I would say anywhere between 4:15-4:25 1600m time will get you into a d1 program. Depends how competitive the program is though because people are getting faster and you have to show that you can improve to be able to get a
It doesn’t necessarily matter what you run and when you run it until you are hitting 15:30 or faster, 4:25 or faster and 2:00 or faster. 16:30 shows you have potential to get there though!

How do you keep the camera so steady! Is Alex running too?
My guess is gimbal on the camera and alex on the bike
@@swarlie5509 nah that day I was running,
Had to get my workout in too 😤
Yes to the gimbal, assisted by OSS/IBIS
@@alexandtrack There should be a separate event for runners holding cameras, cause that was really well done!
So when is the rest point and for how long?
I Am in Track MY Events are 4x800 meter relay and 800 meter run 32000 meter run and 4x400 meter relay and 1600 meter run
Are you running 3 X400M straight with no rest or 200 m jog rest and start again?
I know there is a difference between blue tracks and red tracks, but what is the difference with black tracks?
Red track create more friction which leads to usually faster times. But black and blue tracks feel way better on my legs.
