I have used the Ninja wood fire grill in non-smoking modes inside the house, particularly the grill and air fry options as I have no other way of doing those. I put it on top of my hob (stove) which is electric and so is just a sheet of glass. I then put the extractor fan on that’s above and that draw any smoke, steam, and smells away. So it can be done, if you use an extractor fan.
I got the indoor foodi grill last week and love it. I was able to grill outside while baking inside on the indoor grill I would 100% recommend the outdoor and the indoor makes cooking so much easier, quicker and way less cleanup
I am hinting at hubby that the Indoor Grill should be our next purchase because of cold wet days and the POS builder stove/oven (every burner cooks differently and the oven is off as well). I have the outdoor grill and love it, I just have to decide what other indoor appliance I am willing to ditch to have the counterspace. 🥺
Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know your channel is my goto for all things Ninja Woodfire Grill. Got my grill (still waiting for the griddle, backordered everywhere) a couple weeks ago and last week I made Texas twinkies and armadillo eggs. Found a feature I didn't know the grill had, when you turn it on smoke you can hit the down arrow until the display says CLD and it will just send smoke through the grill (only heat is from the pellets igniting). I smoked 2 pkgs of cream cheese for 2 hours on a piece of tin foil for the stuffing (also added 2 cups smoked pork butt (first cook)) for the twinkies and eggs. I also smoked the jalapenos after I took the veins and seed out of @ 225 for 30 mins, helps reduce the heat. Love the way the bacon renders on the grill. Amazing cook, thanks for all you do! You keep making Videos, I'll keep watching.
HSN has the griddle about $40 with tax and shipping took about a week to get it. Got mine a week ago. I checked Amazon but said it would take 3-4 weeks to ship
Thanks for showing a novice how to use this outdoor grill. Just got mine and can't wait to try your smash burgers. I live in Ireland so will have to wait for sunny days between the rain!! Thank CJ, keep the videos coming mate.
Great videos. Just got my Ninja grill a month ago and am still figuring out what I like best! One thing I found to be awesome is using Royal Oak Charcoal pellets!! Haven't seen CJ try using these? For burgers, chicken etc you really get that outdoor grilled over coals taste. Highly recommended to try! Only downside (sort of) is the smallest bag is 20lbs of pellets which will last a very long time!
You have a seriously nice home there, us in the UK can only dream of something like that. We certainly never get the weather you guys do but I do like my grill.
I thought from what I've always read and watch smash burgers do better surfaces that stick a little at first like cast iron and then releases when it's cook. Which builds a better crust.
Mmmmmmmmm, Nothing like a great smash burger. Now I think I'll have to go out and fire up the woodfire grill. Keep these videos coming brother, we love them up here in God's country of Preskitt, AZ.
CJ I love to grill and in a condo so never been able to smoke efficently. Im going to buy either the Woodfire Grill or the Pizza Woodfire grill. Will the Pizza grill cook the same as the Woodfire grill ir am I better off geting thee Woodfire Gril and making pizza on it with a stone or the griddle piece ? Please answer when you can, i just suscribed toyour show. Ninja has no customer service or sales reps to speak with so I hope you can guide me. I cook alot of burgers, briskets, steaks, pork etc some chicken too LMk I use now a Safire table top electric fire grill Ive had for several years, its as good for burgers but limited in featues
Hey thank you! I would go with the grill. There are more things you can do with it in my opinion. The oven is great for pizza, but everything else is just ok.
More than likely the fat content of the beef, I generally use lean 5%-10% fat for most things, but I think with smash burgers 20% fat content is recommended
When cooking the bacon with the lid closed, I would think that a lot of what you are calling smoke coming out of the back is steam, not smoke. For what it's worth……
Sorry about being so blunt. There's only one comment that I can make. How do you set up the ninja smoke grill for the project you are showing. Spend more time running your mouth on how you cook or what your cooking or what you're selling of your own products then you are telling us how you work the grill itself. Once again I'm sorry.

No different than cooking any other way inside really since it’s electric…

Looks amazing as always, hey CJ hoping you do a video on smoking shrimp
CJ - thank you, another amazing video!
Thank you!

Cheers!
Love your recipes. Have you ever given a tour of your backyard? It looks amazing from what I can see!
Thank you! I think I have on a couple livestreams I did back in the day. But it’s mostly just pool and a patio with a bunch of smokers and grills. 😁

I still haven’t tried the charcoal pellets. Going to eventually.
Salute to Cooking with CJ 💪🏾 the Ninja Grill Master. That Smash burger looks delicious 😋
You have a seriously nice home there, us in the UK can only dream of something like that. We certainly never get the weather you guys do but I do like my grill.
Thank you!!
Build a nice shelter for outdoor cooking matey, then the weather is irrelevant.
Anynody tried the chicken bouillon method for seasoning meat? Gonna try that on my smash burgers as soon as my new Ninja arrives next week.
I am going to grind up some brisket and make this tomorrow. Can’t wait! Will add some onion to the grill, too.
Sounds good to me!
Great work CJ!
Looks Delicious! 😋
Cj the smashburger with bacon 🥓 looks really delicious have a great week brother 🤤😋
I thought from what I've always read and watch smash burgers do better surfaces that stick a little at first like cast iron and then releases when it's cook. Which builds a better crust.
Looks fantastic CJ! Need to try this once I get my attachment, cheers 🍻
At first I thought you said outside has some cow cover, that would be a tasty rain storm.
How do i grill on the large size ninja woodfire with the lid open? Can i grill with lid open will it stay hot? What settings thabk you!
Set it on the high grill setting and you should be able to grill with the lid open
@@CookingWithCJ thank you I'll give it a try!
Just wondering when you’re doing the burgers, do you have it on high or medium heat?
Do them on high if you’re making smashburgers
Mmmmmmmmm, Nothing like a great smash burger. Now I think I'll have to go out and fire up the woodfire grill. Keep these videos coming brother, we love them up here in God's country of Preskitt, AZ.
Did these today. Outstanding
Thank you!!
CJ...WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS BETWEEN NINJA FOODI XL PRO, AND, FOR THOSE WHO DON'T SMOKE, THE NEWEST GRILL WITH PELLETS. ALWAYS LOVE YOUR SHOWS!!!
Simple yet perfect! SRF was the last tomahawks I did, their stuff is great. I could eat these every day!
Yessir! Thanks bro!
Would love to see you do a big cut of lamb on the woodfire at some point mate! I've done 2 of your recipes so far and they've come out unbelievable!
I find high setting is too hot for everything!! Thanks for sharing your expertise
Are the surface non stick coating? Only can use plastic spatula?
Yeah or silicone
Can a smash burger be made on a Foodi Smart XL Pro grill
Looked damn good to me
do you find the woodfire grill "better" than the sizzle grill in your other videos? if so, in what way?
Yes by a long run. The smoke feature is the main thing that’s worth it alone.
CJ... does griddle plate go on top of grill plate or does it replace it... 🤔
It replaces it
Wow I didn't expect the double! Looks like I'm making burgers tonight!
What temperature do you cook ?
Set it on grill setting medium
Mighty fine smash burgers CJ! American cheese and bacon maybe some sautéed onions……money! Cheers brother!
How long did you cook the Patties on each side?
Couple min
“…you could be more correct” 😂
Love this channel, man

Looks freaking fantastic, I'm so hungry now! Love the video my man big 👍 up CJ!
Was ist das für ein Schieber bitte?
Where in the world did you find that wide spatula. Looks like a giant putty knife. I would love one that wide.
Got them from pit boss.
pitbossgrills.77jaha.net/mgyPzD
What tray is this? Love your videos 👍🏻
It's a griddle plate you can get from Ninja's site.
Rookie move
Looks like they “taste pretty “! 😂
😂😂😂
These look great CJ.... I can never get mine to stay smashed.... dunno why?
More than likely the fat content of the beef, I generally use lean 5%-10% fat for most things, but I think with smash burgers 20% fat content is recommended
@@BeetooresThat’s good to know.
Is there a written recipe?
There are links to my eCookbooks to purchase and it has the recipe on there.
The griddle plate is currently out of stock, 6/28/23. Everybody must have seen this video and went out and ordered one!
😁😁😁 I think I saw Amazon has it now.
@@CookingWithCJ you have a link where you can get some affiliate credit?
@@banjosforbreakfast6086 thanks, here you go: amzn.to/3JF12hq
I use mine outside, but using it indoors without pellets is really no different than cooking on an electric stove…
Did you get an earthquake?
Mini ones don’t count
Did you see Northern California had an earthquake this afternoon?
CJ
Its like this… if you don’t like American cheese then you’re not American
😂😂
When cooking the bacon with the lid closed, I would think that a lot of what you are calling
smoke coming out of the back is steam, not smoke. For what it's worth……
Or it could be all that splattering of bacon grease being thrown around with the fan reaching the heating element.
Smashburger with no onions grilled into the burger? That's just a regular burger.
A Smashburger with onions grilled into is an Oklahoma burger.
@@CookingWithCJ Well, that should be your next video. 🧅🍔
@@CookingWithCJ that’s a body shot right there…😂😂😂
