"Maybe I killed my first..." *Pauses for a bit* "...Elephant. Maybe I killed my first elephant." That's Ashen's brain slowly trying to figure out which of the many creatures he killed over the years. Most people think it started with the blind bags... it happened much earlier in his life. Much much earlier.
You're missing a little key for scareglow. Cool thing was the classics castle grayskull had a door that could be opened by the little key. Reason is that he's doomed to forever have access to CG but never get in.
Did that magnet toy remind anyone of those old mega bloks action figure things called magwarriors? Man, they were so fucking cool. You could accurately simulate the "tis but a flesh wound" scene with them aswell.
IIRC, the little tube on Scareglow is designed to fit the Key to Castle Grayskull, which may or may not have come with him. The important thing about the key is that it is scaled to actually FIT into a keyhole on the Classics Grayskull.
Five year's late for a response lol, but they did a Scare Glow figure for Masters of the Universe: Revelations that can be picked up for about $30 or so. It's not quite as rad, but it's still pretty fun. The head molding is *really* good too.
I love how you have a deep appreciation for action figures, I'm a collector myself and I have some very out of package like yours, enter the collector circles most times those are frowned upon. But I can still appreciate them. it's refreshing to know that I'm not the only one.
I love the videos where you show old action figures, like this one and the one where you went through the big box. Totally my era so it was fun to stumble down memory lane.
A dog walks into a pub, and takes a seat. He says to the barman, 'Can I have a pint of lager and a packet of crisps please'. The barman says, 'Wow, that's amazing! You should join the circus!........' The dog replies, 'Why?... Do they need electricians?'
Woah! I had General Mamba and several other Eagle Force figures when I was a kid! I completely forgot about them until you showed that. Holy flashback....
i like seeing what interested you when you were younger. it gives me a different perspective on how other kids had fun when they were younger. that being said me and you were pretty similar in the figures. P.S- very cool star wars vehicle with figure in the end.
OMFG, I inherited about 60-70 of those old science fiction things, from I think 50s-60s range, theyre not in good condition, but they're bloody awesome, and I had entirely forgotten them until you mentioned them.
Mirokyu Spoilers: Baron Karza is a repaint of Kotetsu Jeeg from the eponymous 70s show, with a different head tacked on. That show was also drilling it up all over the place.
I feel like ashens would love the fossilizers from transformers kingdom. Skeletons, comes apart like baron karza, turns into dinosaurs, and they turn into weapons like giant axes and war hammers.
I had that Super Powers Joker figure when I was a kid and loved it. Used to put that mallet (as it was called on the packaging) on other characters and make like he was mind controlling them or something. :)
I think it was the same line as the Joker figure, at least the same era, Kenner made a super awesome Aquaman figure that you could squeeze the arms to make his legs kick. It was neato.
Yeah, there was a whole line of Superfriends figures with those actions. Some threw punches, Flash's legs moved really fast, etc. And the reason Joker's coattails came off was because there was a Jokermobile, and you couldn't sit him down in it with the coattails on.
I had one of those Wampy beast figures when I was a kid. Wish I kept a hold of it. I can remember where it went. I used to love it, and this was long before I ever saw starwars.
I hope Stuart found Baron Karza's belly missile. It haunts me to this day. It probably shouldn't since it has no effect on mine or Stuart's life but it does.
OMG, I had the Wampa for many years and I never knew it could do that. Also, the Tauntaun from that line is great, but I guess that counts more as a vehicle.
Man I miss those old o ring type GI Joe's. They were my favorite action figures. I used to take them apart and make weird ass combinations etc... Wish I still had a few, takes me back.
I used to love that Joker figure from the 1989 Batman movie. You could spray water from his flower on his jacket and everything! Although you are right about the hat, it would never stay on properly!
I remember having an action man figure, he wasn't any kind of army character he was a barbie sized figure that came with a working parachute, thing was great
I loved Birdman, looted the movie poster and have it on my wall, and I never knew their was an action figure... I want that now... Damnit Ashens you've sold out on me! And its for something I can never own!
I am absolutely jealous of the Birdman figure. I would kill for one. The movie has got to be one of THE BEST pieces of film ever. It was absolutely brilliant. Unbelievably jealous
The Darth Vader-y one seems like inspiration for Big Hero 6. The firing fist, like on the robot? The magnetic parts like the kid's robot in the beginning? And yes, now I want one.
I got that scout trooper for christmas this year, absolutely love it. Definitely recommend it to any fans of the scout troopers, I saw on a couple places it was going for about $30-$50.
I had something similar to the Baron toy, although I forget which toyline it's from. It was a twenty dollar action figure with interchangeable limbs, but instead of magnets, they had little plastic prongs that fit into the joints of the figure. It was nice, but it was pretty much the action figure version of DLC, that being there were a good amount of expansion packs for extra limbs, like weapons and stylized legs and stuff.
Because you mentioned something for this toy line that they made all the figures with the same face, there was actually an action figure line from the early 70s called captain action.Twice bigger than those and reminted allot the original joes that you could change their clothes. The captain could be transformed to almost all the soldiers and heroes, from marvel and dc characters to austronauts as well.I learned about those classic figures from a japanese toy line called bearbricks wich comes to blind boxes i have a captain action bearbrick from series 20 from the horror series. He even managed to transform him self to a bear like weird figure,i guess you can call him the master of disguises in the action figure world.
Its nice to see you once in a while doing a review of something you are not hate stuard. And i can say that this is one of your best videos nice work man, keep on the good work.
I had all the Eagle Force stuff, including the Eagle Mountain or whatever it was base and the transport. They also ha a bit of a GIJoe swipe with having a ninja character.
I actually really like this video. I think it'd be fun to have a positive video semi regularly where you just showcase figures or other stuff that you really enjoy.
"The Evil Ghost of Skeletor!" I always took it as kind of a "Negative Man from _Doom Patrol_" kind of deal, that he could release his "ghost" for short periods and do more than he could do physically.
Also: "The Joker figure was shite" You're thinking of the Toy-Biz _Batman '89_ line, which was a sister to their _DC Comics Super Heroes_ line. _Batman '89_ got two separate lines from different companies: Toy-Biz's smaller line and Kenner's _The Dark Knight Collection_ (they couldn't use the name "Batman" on the box, but...we all knew which was better.)
I just got my crate o' loot and I have to say I am very pleased with the tat. Um I mean 'loot' that came in it. My thanks to you ashens. You are the reason I have started my own shelf of interesting items. My thanks go out to my no. 1 youtuber.
The pause after "killed my first" is very suspicious...
SirCatnip
kek
SirCatnip Killed My First...
Gaben
+Morgan He does that so he can take out spaces like that later and redo jokes. You can sometimes see them in the extras at the end of videos.
Catnip :Whatever you say Natzi.
"Maybe I killed my first..."
*Pauses for a bit*
"...Elephant. Maybe I killed my first elephant."
That's Ashen's brain slowly trying to figure out which of the many creatures he killed over the years.
Most people think it started with the blind bags... it happened much earlier in his life. Much much earlier.

When the doctor who figure came up, i just kept saying "Hey, who turned out the lights?!" Haha good times:)
Wow, the sculpting of that skull-faced astronaut lad is bloody fantastic! The folds in the material of his suit look really convincing. Nice!
You're missing a little key for scareglow. Cool thing was the classics castle grayskull had a door that could be opened by the little key. Reason is that he's doomed to forever have access to CG but never get in.
I had the original castle gray skull back in the 80s
I Don't remember that though lol
I've always wanted a sound clip of Skeletor unsubscribing from something!
Did that magnet toy remind anyone of those old mega bloks action figure things called magwarriors? Man, they were so fucking cool. You could accurately simulate the "tis but a flesh wound" scene with them aswell.
3:49 Actually, this figure is based on Monty Python's Black Knight - realistic quartering action!
tis a scratch
I love Ashens 👑. Thank you for all of the most amazing videos!
Somebody needs to send Ashen a Revoltech mecha figure.
He'll explode.
With joy.
It's great to hear someone speak about something he loves. Well if they're good speakers, which Stuart is.
IIRC, the little tube on Scareglow is designed to fit the Key to Castle Grayskull, which may or may not have come with him. The important thing about the key is that it is scaled to actually FIT into a keyhole on the Classics Grayskull.
I love watching someone talk about something that they're passionate about. That's why I keep coming back.
I learned a lot from this video.
Baron Karza is a retool from a figure of Steel Jeeg, they just added a new head and changed the color of the body, the rest is just the same.
Scareglow is legit the coolest thing ever
toasterrabbit he's a walking glow stick with muscle.....cooooool
175.00 on amazon there's only one
Five year's late for a response lol, but they did a Scare Glow figure for Masters of the Universe: Revelations that can be picked up for about $30 or so. It's not quite as rad, but it's still pretty fun. The head molding is *really* good too.

I wanna make a mold of the tiny castle greyskull skeleton key that scareglow is holding and make tiny shaker charms...
Ashens you should totally do it AGAIN, it's been years back, another go at it!
10:39 "As long as a put a description in the link."
Lol order your in get Sahsen words😜👞👞
Nick Wrecker Try harder, he must!
I love how even though I would never be interested in a video like this, Ashens makes it the best thing ever.
no wonder Baron Karva(sp?) looks familiar, its a localization of the Steel Jeeg figure. Jeeg being an old school japanese mecha anime.
Different head though. But I think that and the paint scheme are the only differences.
yeah, they must not have the Jeeg license. Still an awesome toy. was looking for one after the video, unsurprisingly goes for quite a bit nowadays.
That's a good catch, I was wondering, too, as a Go Nagai fan. Plus Jeeg had the magnetic gimmick, too.
He rip one of his arm off and use it as a mace.
Arrowdodger to be fair I thought it was a repaint and new head for Grendizer : P
General Mambo looks like he's been at a desk job for quite a while
The black magnet toy is amazing. Wish they still made things like that.
I was certain he was going to say "killed my first... Prostitute."
Sounds sus tbh
+ChickenPika I bet he saw one of your videos and thought "better leave a pause here for work material"
Well, you heard him, onto the drawing board
Pretty sure he was gonna make that joke then advised against it, hence the long pause..... probably.
I thought he was about to say something racist but then thought of elephants
I was pretty surprised by the Birdman figure. Great film.
as soon as he said "now we jump back to 1982" my screen said "error ocured"
GENIUS
I love the videos where you show old action figures, like this one and the one where you went through the big box. Totally my era so it was fun to stumble down memory lane.
You should do more of these. Actually looking at good action figures. I quite enjoy it.
whenever birdman is mentioned I automatically think of Harvey birdman: Attorney at law
I think of the 60s cartoon.
Same
I hope when I become a dead ghost, my skeleton gets that swole.
Lol he's made of plasma and bone...he can shape himself how he pleases
"Okay that hit alittle too close to home" is just brilliant, the timing and calm reaction is just hilarious
The fact you can come up with those actions (uhhh the headache) for the figures makes you a genius. *****
BirdMan was also a Hanna-Barbera cartoon from the 60s.
I kept thinking of Bird Person from Rick and Morty.
So glad someone else had original micronauts!
I want all these toys! Kind of!
A dog walks into a pub, and takes a seat. He says to the barman, 'Can I have a pint of lager and a packet of crisps please'. The barman says, 'Wow, that's amazing! You should join the circus!........' The dog replies, 'Why?... Do they need electricians?'
Idk
Woah! I had General Mamba and several other Eagle Force figures when I was a kid! I completely forgot about them until you showed that. Holy flashback....
That face that pops up gets to me everytime :c
i like seeing what interested you when you were younger. it gives me a different perspective on how other kids had fun when they were younger. that being said me and you were pretty similar in the figures. P.S- very cool star wars vehicle with figure in the end.
OMFG, I inherited about 60-70 of those old science fiction things, from I think 50s-60s range, theyre not in good condition, but they're bloody awesome, and I had entirely forgotten them until you mentioned them.
"Shave off that pathetic goatee! Get some surgery! Sixty's the new 30, motherfucker!"
Ashens: "Okay, that hit a little bit too close to home."
Oh man, “the Emperor’s snuffed now” I have terrible news from the future Stuart...
I'm glad you put that description in the link.
Gurren Lagann probably beat you to inventing the "drill chest".
Pierce through the heavens.....
willie weasel CREATE THE HEAVENS!
OH MY GOSH I GOT WRONG! I feel so stupid
willie weasel You didn't though... Pierce the heavens is correct, though somewhat paraphrased
Mirokyu Spoilers: Baron Karza is a repaint of Kotetsu Jeeg from the eponymous 70s show, with a different head tacked on. That show was also drilling it up all over the place.
My goodness, I remember that Wampa figure! That toy was indeed a true joy to play with.
I'd like to see this as a regular feature, was really interesting especially as Ashens was so enthusiastic

Sweet, Baron Karza!
He started out as the main robot from an anime called Steel Jeeg.
MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE.
I guess what I'm driving at is that I enjoyed this video.
I hope Stuart found Baron Karza's belly missile. It haunts me to this day. It probably shouldn't since it has no effect on mine or Stuart's life but it does.
I would have loved that black figure with all the magnets when I was like 7. are you kidding?
Man, this list is amazing. Thanks for sharing your love for cool action figures *****!
I can't wait to see The Shelf of Interesting Items in it's entirety. One day...on day...
I just sat here eating cereal while watching a grown man play with toys on a couch for 20 minutes.
Time well spent.
Thank you for reminding me of the Vasht Narada right before bed. I had forgotten those nightmare creatures.
I totally had one of those Wampa things growing up. It's still probably at my grandmothers house. That thing definitely is really fun to play with
OMG, I had the Wampa for many years and I never knew it could do that. Also, the Tauntaun from that line is great, but I guess that counts more as a vehicle.
Man I miss those old o ring type GI Joe's. They were my favorite action figures. I used to take them apart and make weird ass combinations etc...
Wish I still had a few, takes me back.
Love that birdman figure
that last figure gives me nightmares
hey drae i wasent expecting you
"A description in the link" during the Birdman Statue
"As long as I put a description in the link." Good one Ashens!
I’d be down for a sequel
I just watched BirdMan today. I loved it!
I used to love that Joker figure from the 1989 Batman movie. You could spray water from his flower on his jacket and everything! Although you are right about the hat, it would never stay on properly!
I remember having an action man figure, he wasn't any kind of army character he was a barbie sized figure that came with a working parachute, thing was great
Baron Karza was AWESOME! My favorite toys from that time were the Micronauts and the Shogun Warriors.
Unbelievably jealous
the Birdman is originally a hanna-barbera character ( _Birdman and the Galaxy Trio_ 1967 debute )
I love your action figure videos, you should always record more of them
The Darth Vader-y one seems like inspiration for Big Hero 6. The firing fist, like on the robot? The magnetic parts like the kid's robot in the beginning? And yes, now I want one.
3:46 Greatest idea for a figure ever! and the rockets still shoot off with accuracy and strength!
I got that scout trooper for christmas this year, absolutely love it. Definitely recommend it to any fans of the scout troopers, I saw on a couple places it was going for about $30-$50.
My favorite action figure as a kid was an Apocalypse one I'd gotten for Christmas one year. It was over a foot tall. It was HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE.
I had something similar to the Baron toy, although I forget which toyline it's from. It was a twenty dollar action figure with interchangeable limbs, but instead of magnets, they had little plastic prongs that fit into the joints of the figure. Why aren't more toys/figures made like the Micronauts? The magnets are bloody awesome!
I can see why Baron Karza is your favourite action figure, as I had one myself as a kid, and I thought he was great.
That wampa figure is actually quite cute! I really like the triangle eyes.
The Silence of the Library was awesome for the fact it is the first appearance of River Song...
Its nice to see you once in a while doing a review of something you are not hate stuard. And i can say that this is one of your best videos nice work man, keep on the good work.
6:07 looks like skeletor
"Never shows up good on camera" Shows a picture where the GITD function works perfectly
These are my favourite videos from him
I love Scareglow. I still have mine from back in the day.
"re-released by Palisades" - Ashens (actual quote)
Hey! Who turned out the lights?
Hey who Turned out the lights?
Doctor is that you.
Lol love the Birdman figure.
that one with the magnets looks like some kinda weird repaint/remold of Steel Jeeg
I had all the Eagle Force stuff, including the Eagle Mountain or whatever it was base and the transport.
They also ha a bit of a GIJoe swipe with having a ninja character.
A 20 minute video of a man talking about action figures made for little kids. What a time to be alive.
I actually really like this video. I think it'd be fun to have a positive video semi regularly where you just showcase figures or other stuff that you really enjoy.
"The Evil Ghost of Skeletor!"
I always took it as kind of a "Negative Man from _Doom Patrol_" kind of deal, that he could release his "ghost" for short periods and do more than he could do physically.

The Joker hammer made me laugh out loud; I had no idea about either the face or the helmet feature.
Great to see a MOTUC figure in an Ashens video!
