Batman the Brave and the Bold was just a straight faced hommage to the Silver Age. You had episodes with characters like B'wana Beasts, Kite-Man, Plastic Man, the Metal Men, lots of Gorrilla Grodd, and Aquaman is friggin' hilarious in it! I think it was a lot of fun! Everybody was kinda cooky and Batman was super competant and serious. The episode "Chill of the Night" is particularly strong because it's about Batman finding him parents' killer!
Undrave Not the mention that the finale was fucking insane. I swear, for that entire episode the fourth wall was less broken and more obliterated, never to be seen again.
Oh yeah the Music Meister! And speaking of music who didn't like the Birds of Prey song?! And the episode where the Joker is written as the Protagonist, but yet is still a criminal! It was such clever writing. And that finale... the fourth wall was broken, and then it's own fourth wall was broken again! It was so insane! Really bittersweet too. I'm so glad I got the DVDs of that show.

Especially if those words aren't nouns, to my knowledge neither beyond or forever are.

I agree, Batman is the BEST superhero. He has tools and other cool gadgets to use. NO supernatural or magical powers!! He is a regular man doing his part for the world around him.
And he legitimately cares about the villains he fights. That's why their always sent to the asylum, instead of jail, be wants them to get better, because a lot of them are either insane or think they can't do anything else.
He's still very metahuman. The training he requires and the lifestyle he has would kill anyone in less than 3 years, no matter how well trained and how much resistant you are.
Batman Brave and the Bold is actually my favorite Batman series and one of my favorite cartoon series. After a long while of gritty Batman, it was a nice change of pace to get some more lighthearted adventures. With send ups to D List heroes and villains and great cameos and references, I would totally recommend if you want a good laugh or something silly to watch and have fun
I remember when this cartoon was airing I was working in the toy department at Walmart. One day a kid was asking for Kamandi the Last Boy from the DC Classics line. I grabbed it from the top shelf and instantly froze as I realized a five year old child knew who Kamandi was. I quickly questioned if I had suffered a stoke then and there. The kid's dad mentioned that the kid learned about him from this cartoon. He apparently the week before picked up Omac as well.

Batman of the Future and Batman Beyond are the same show, only it got rebranded after the movie Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and when it was called Batman Beyond it was also updated from the rather clunky and awkward traditionally drawn animation to much superior 2D CG animation.
Oh man, when they mentioned Batman Beyond and the Arkham games, it reminded me of how much I would like Rocksteady to make a Batman Beyond game. Just imagine how insane the boss battle would be against Inque...ah well. An excellent vid as always!
