Riders what a blast the last 9 months has been on the Specialized Levo Gen 3 Sworks, 2000km, over 20 stages of EWS E racing hours of testing, and finally my long long term review is done. I hope you like it and if you have any questions just ask.
Hi Sam , I wanna ask you about the Gen3 Expert S4 size that if ohlins coil shock can work successfully? And about the angles when we do the front head angle to 63.5 degrees from the standard 64.5 , should we have to arrange the bike at the back to the low setting? Or 63.5 head tube degree can work with the high setting too? 🤷🏻♂️
I went out of order and purchased the Kenevo SL before purchasing the Gen 3 Levo. I didn’t think any bike would come close to the Kenevo SL but I wanted a full power trail bike to complement the Kenevo and I was completely proven wrong. The Gen 3 Levo will be my chosen ride for all but the roughest downhill trail systems that I ride. The Levo probably feels lighter than my Kenevo SL on the trail and is certainly more nimble. I was immediately confident on the Levo and was hitting features that I thought was best saved for my Kenevo SL. In summary, the Levo is almost as capable downhill as the Kenevo SL, but is a much better trail bike.
Casey thanks for the comment to be honest I have my Kenevo SL and Levo For about the same time and only got 500km on the kenevo it’s amazing but I find the levo just such a dynamic bike to ride abs very easy to go back up the top!

I've just recently purchased a Gen 3 expert and am absolutely in love. Going with this model left some money of the table for some modifications that are really just personal preference. I am not a fan at all of he Code Rs and am going to be changing them out shortly with some Shimano Saints.
Hey Congratulations on your new bike. I bought the Stumpy EVO Expert analogue bike 2 months ago and I love it! It has the Fox Float X shock as standard. I noticed that the LEVO version of the Expert has the Fox DPS and not the X2 that’s on the S-works. Is that right? And what do you think of that shock? Is it an upgrade from the Float X? Or is the DPS not as good as the Float X? I would appreciate if I could please have your thoughts as I am considering getting the LEVO expert too. Thanks very much. Cheers!
Sure, best looking and probably best ebike at the moment. But the price for me in Slovenia with retail price of 14.999 euro with maybe 10 % discount was way to much so I went with the new Giant Reign E+1 for 5.799 euros. Riding it for last few day, i love the quiet motor which performs better then old one last year that I tested. Also spec is very good.
Sam, long time since my last reply. Thanks for the LEVO Gen 3 review. I too snapped off the battery cover when charging!!! Great time of the year to ride in the desert here in AZ.
I have snapped two charge port doors during a ride and have no clue why the lever allowed the door to open. I may have toed in and not noticed it. Horrible design, it should be a sliding door.
Great video man, I just got me the comp version and I am loving the bike! Is there anyway you could do a video on how to adjust the geometry of the bike? I’ve searched and there doesn’t seem to be many videos on how to do it.
Am waiting for my Gen 3 expert to arrive in March, but I have upgraded to GX Eagle AXS wireless shifting as seen some reviews on the AXS range and the GX is nearly as good, same standard of shifting but for less money! Can’t wait for it to finally arrive & maybe they will have sorted that door issue on the motor by then!
Great video! I just test drove a Levo Comp Alloy size S4 (they didn’t have the S5) and am 182 cms tall. It felt fine but also a tad shorter than my 16’ Stumpjumper size large. I know I’ll have to try the S5 but was curious how tall you are?
Sam. I am 71 and enjoying my new com carbon. My second Levo. Overall; what's not to like. In one of your videos you mention that you use micro tune a lot. I find myself using it more and more while I ride the trails of Galbraith Mountain in Bellingham Wa. For me, on the trail and in the moment while bouncing along I use only one screen. On that default screen I use only two data points. The MODE and the MICRO TUNE percentage. My issue is the percentage font is too small to view instantly while ripping along. Many times I have to quickly glance a number of times to bring it into focus. If the % font were the size of the RPM data point. Both could be monitored easily, safely, and the information could be applied quickly. I was hoping if you saw some value in what I suggest you might pass it along the next time you have face to face. I have been enjoying your channel for some time. Thanks. Jeff

Hi Sam and many thanks, I use a expert with some upgrade and I'm happy with this bike, my question for you is what setting of mission control do you use?
Hi Sam, Thank you for the great review, big fan of your content. I’m looking to buy a Levo Gen3 but I still feel a bit uncomfortable with the size decision even though I was riding both against each other (just on parking space). I am 193.5cm. The s5 felt more the appropriate size for the bike and it is the smallest recommended size for my height, but looking at the stats, ie 50cm reach, is shocking long especially my trails here are rather narrow and technical. I currently have a 47cm reach and want to have a playful bike, but as said above the s5 seems more appropriate and it did not felt that much less maneuverable. What would be your advise? I would highly appreciate to hear your thoughts. Maybe I can put a shorter stem as you did to have more playful/poly bike. Many thanks in advance!
Hey mate sorry for the late reply, my advice would be to go try before you buy. I think you are a s5 but it really does come down to what you ride and your style! You can put a 32mm stem which does help but it does change how the bikes feels and harder to keep weight on the front of the bike. If you want to send me a massage on Facebook I’ll send you a voice message with more advice
