I have just took delivery from your company and did as you said threw enclosed instructions away and followed yours excellent video which was very clear many thanks ,the only problems I had was with the springs and my big fingers many thanks Mark Rayment.

Very good video, as the instructions are nearly useless. Does take some time and ensure you have a surface that is clean and easily able to see any dropped springs...believe me, I dropped them a few times! Then there are times, is it flush or not!! So had to chg pieces a few times to get that confident feeling. As I believe it is a bit difficult to take out the cylinder once it is locked into the case! But in the end, it worked!! Great video and great service when I bought my 49L top case from them. Shipped on a Monday,, arrived in the USA at my doorstep on Wednesday of the very same week!! TIP: to keep the bottom pieces from falling out.....I found using a tiny sliver of tape worked better to keep them in place then ones finger/thumb!! Just remember to take that tape off, before you put the cylinder into the slot in the top case!!
Hi Dan, this is a really helpful video. I had mine done at the dealer and when it’s in the unlocked position the lock pin is facing down , ie , groundward , therefore the pin falls out when I unlock and as you say , the barrel can only be inserted one way …… hope this makes sense !
Made that look easy, tried a few years ago it was like 'spring' Armageddon! 👍 S as long as ive unlocked everything before i sell my bike i can take the locks out to recode , is that right, as i wont have the old key!
I have an unresolved problem, which is that when installing, the key does not come out. I did all the steps correctly, but the problem remains, the key does not come out! where is the problem ?
Hi I have just purchased a 2014 k1300s with panniers from another k1300s. Keys of course don’t match so I am looking at rekeying the panniers locks as per your instructions to my ignition key. I’ve tried paper clips hex keys without any luck. The panniers are the grey black oem cases but I’m frustrated by what appears a straight forward process. Any help is greatly appreciated. Hi Tim, thank you for watching our video! The locks can be removed from the sport cases. They will need to be stripped down to access, however if the locks have been installed incorrectly it becomes more difficult, but certainly not impossible. If you put all 6 in the key will turn but not come out this had me ripping my hair out if you only put two n the other side to the locking pin it works perfectly
Why the hell do they make it so difficult? Why not have some reset button on the barrel that can match the key that you insert? With all the technology in BMW bikes this seems like some excercise from 100 years ago..... Thanks for the video, not your fault i know, but my god you'd think they'd make the process easier than this!

is it the same process for Triumph barrel locks?
I just took out the cylinder from my GPS nav prep and the pins are not coming out even if I pull on them. How can I remove them?

But please, I bought one and it’s locked 😅😅😅… can’t get the paperclip to do anything lol
And my dealer wants to charge me half an hour to an hour to set 2 locks. I'll do it myself lol

Simple, it means you adapt the barrels to your own key. Imagine having multiple keys? Do it once and it's done for the life of the boxes on your bike.
BTW, that is simple. If you can't do it yourself, pay someone who can.
