Hey Cletus, I've been a big fan of yours for a long time. I have a variety of race cars in house that I would be happy to haul down to your track and let you get behind the wheel if you are interested. Namely a Pro Late Model which is similar to the car in this video but with a Ford Crate Motor making about 500 HP. I've also got a Legend car and even a Pro Shifter Kart with a 125cc Two Stroke. Honestly would be good content. Everybody is building drag cars. Idk how many of us subscribers are into circle track stuff but we all share the same passion for anything speed/car related.
This has to happen. Actually everyone on staff including Sam needs to have their own stock car like this. Probably would need to use LS engines though if there’s a class for those.

@@jimdarhower4945 throughout Florida it has been colder than normal. Today (Friday) was the warmest it’s been, like 61 was the warmest it was today. But we have another front coming down and it’s bringing a lot of wind so it should feel into the low 30s again in a few days 🤦♂️

Dude you have no idea how much I want the Freedom Factory in Forza Motorsport. I started at FM4 and there's never been a small oval which would be fun for mulitplayer. Also an open layout for drift meets would be amazing, I want this track in Forza so bad

Ya, Jackstand is bonafide. I wish he was in more content, lately it seems like it's been Cleet and Georgie which is really cool, but we need more Jackstand too!
That in my opinion is what made this channel stand out from all other race, speed, or car, related channels. Like back in the beginning when the original group of guys Cleetus, James and all the ones who hung around the old shop were just a group of real friends trying to make the best run in Leroy, learning about turbos and dialing in the best performance their engine configurations could offer, chasing down and breaking records, and always having a blast while doing it, oh and bringing all of us along for the adventure. That is what made this channel better than many, seeing real friends whose main focus was fast cars. Where most channels it's too focused on the cars, and not the cool people building maintaining and racing them.

First off- only a legend can run laps in a mini-stock during Sick Week and then when editing, the video length ends up at 13:20 😎😎
Second- Ol Cleet and Jackstand now have to build some mini-stocks and get a regular twice a year race going at the FF!!

I just want to take a moment and say thank you for giving the compacts some love. In the racing world we don't get the credit that some of us has earned. I wanted to come down and race so bad, but with family losses and finances not in order, we just couldn't make the trip. Maybe next time if there is one. I'd even let you run one of ours too.

He was doing something like that with a crown vic that he'd let people take laps in and then record the lap times. I'm not sure whatever happened with it.
@Hailster yea but he's a great driver and trusted by many. I would like to see him drive their cars for bragging rights for their car being #1. It eliminates the drivers as a factor and places the vehicle itself on showcase

Bob Culbertson was the tracks video Grapher for decades. Find his channel and look up stock mini stock or modified mini features. Thise cars just booked.

As light as they must be I could see them being really fast on small tracks like the FF. Are the engines a mandated platform? Pretty cool way for racers to get into racing without breaking the bank.
@@danmyers9372 we have the same in the UK with loads of amateur racers limited to a certain engine type. keeps cost down and makes it open to more people. think Cosworth are still a good go to engine.
Mini Stocks are like the cartoons of car racing. My dad used to race them in the midwest. They're still running strong over there.

I think that's a 1.6L or 2.0L. Said it was a Ford Fusion engine. I don't think it's an ecoboost though.

Today your TH-cam channel has close to 3million loyal followers, you own the FF, which is literally growing in status across the world, your part owner of Motion Race Works, your slowly building your own race team and last but definitely not least, you married an incredible woman, who is down for anything that has an engine and goes fast. It's perspective. It's a tiny car, and the ff is a rather wide track.
First hand is always the fastest perspective, wether it’s cars or skiing etc.

If anyone ever doubted whether Garrett could drive, this is proof positive he can, and quite well. Those weren't idle compliments that Vaughn Gittin Jr. was giving him. He really meant it. Dude has some skills. I noticed that when I stumbled onto the first LeRoy video years ago. I was like, this dude's hilarious, has cool projects, and he can drive. Straight line drag racing, drifting, now circle track. I'm always impressed at what this guy can do.

I drove a Mini modified at our local 1/3 mile dirt track for several years and loved it watching you enjoy it so much brought back a lot of great memories and gave me the itch to get back in one

My wife got me 16 laps in a nascar years ago for my birthday and it’s hard to steer right or mess up honestly. It was so much fun it’s hard to describe. Had a pro ride along and then followed a pro who made it easy showing you the line. Faster you push him faster he goes so it was so much fun. Enjoy yourselves!!

@ Eric yes; people underestimate how fast purpose built track cars are compare to about any modified road going vehicle.
I remember when the Dale truck was still set up for circle track. I know the Freedom Factory probably wasn't even in the works yet when you guys had the Dale truck chassis tweaked for drag racing, but damn I wish y'all had left it setup for circle track after seeing this video. Would have been so cool. Maybe it's not too late to change it back?

Raced 3/8 oval for a couple years and im glad to see that track get used as intended at least once. Probably one of my favorite videos so far on here.
Very much agreed; all the big car channel on YT are mostly centered on modified street driven vehicles or exotics. I think there could be a resurgence of interest in short track racing if a content creator such as Cleet pushed having differ classes at his track regularly. It feels that people legitimately don’t know of oval track racing outside of nascar, and they definitely don’t know of dirt oval track racing....also I think it would be good for the YT channel since so many car channels basically do the same thing, build / drag race, break parts, then repeat....this would be a breath of fresh air.
@@ericschumacher5189 NASCAR is way more than just the cup cars. Out here we needed a NASCAR license to race the mini stocks he is in. So when NASCAR is involved in your little track, it really might mess with what he wants to do with the channel. It would be great for the local community to have a short track but not sure unless he devoted Saturdays to non NASCAR sanctioned races it would be the right move. Even if I'd love to see it.

I'm sure he's driven around the track literally thousands of times. Probably knows where every bump is by now. He does have a natural ability to drive anything though, and well too.
Doesn’t matter how much he drives around that track, for him to jump in a circle track car and put down consistently fast times is impressive.
