    I haven’t knitted for years. In my day we slipped the first stitch to keep the edge more uinformly even. Do they not do this anymore? I thank you for your videos. I find them very interesting. Still have more to watch. Thanks again.

    Hello, I love your video, but I was wondering.. in the video it's says 4 skeins to make a Medium-sized blanket and in the written section, it says 5. Would 4 be enough??

    Are you supposed to keep switching between knit and pearl stitch?

    • @nobleknits
      @nobleknits  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Syeda, For this blanket, you knit one row and then purl the next row.

    Thank you. I think I would find that yarn/needles too fiddlely but it is so pretty. I might have to try it! Thank you.

    Is it ok if I want to go for next lower size needle and yarn,?

    • @nobleknits
      @nobleknits  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ma, You can use smaller needles and thinner yarn. Just keep in mind you'll need to cast on more stitches and you'll need more yarn. Happy knitting! 😀

      @@nobleknits thanks for the prompt reply. But can you please tell me with one size down needle how many yarns and what size to use. And for 36×36 how many stitches to put

    Are those knitting needles plastic or wood?

    • @nobleknits
      @nobleknits  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Speedlearner, I'm using plastic needles. There's a link for them in the description.

    • @kelleyd4373
      @kelleyd4373 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Plastic

    • @AmaraJordanMusic
      @AmaraJordanMusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lot of times larger needles are plastic. I know many people who used to knit all sizes will go to huge needles when they have arthritis, and plastic has more give than wood and isn’t as cold as metal, and so are more comfortable for them to use. My mother had temperature sensitivity, so it not being metal was really important, or putting them in her heating pad on low for a while before she started knitting. ESPECIALLY in winter.

    I do not get how 33 stitches can be wide enough for a large baby blanket for a child

    • @nobleknits
      @nobleknits  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Christmas Globe, It works because these stitches are HUGE! Each stitch is 1 1/3" wide so you get a really nice big blanket without a lot of effort and it's very snuggly and soft. 😀

    Is it a suffocation hazard? Something about that yarn for a baby just makes me nervous
