Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and the pattern. Happy knitting, and feel free to share your finished project-I’d love to see it! 😊🎉
Hello, I am glad you enjoyed the pattern! You can't add a picture to a comment here on TH-cam. But if you are on Instagram and you want to post your picture, tag #handylittleme so I can see it!
Would have been nice to see the finished blanket. I’m going video to video on this blanket and making swatches. Some are more pointy at the top while the bottom corner is rounded, etc. I’m looking for one that is symmetrical in all corners.
Hi! I’m so obsessed with how my blanket is turning out! I’m a little nervous about decreasing the stitches, would there be anyway you could make a video about it? This video helped me so much when I was first starting!
Hello Jamie, I don't have a video right now of how to decrease the blanket, but I do have a video showing you how to YO here - th-cam.com/video/IfB8uSQYVrA/w-d-xo.html and how to K2tog here - th-cam.com/video/tB8TU_2pJiY/w-d-xo.html because to decrease you need to YO, K2tog. I hope that helps! I will add the idea to show the decreases to the blanket to my list.
If I want it to be larger for an adult vs baby can’t I just increase to desired amount and it won’t make it a weird shape? (200 stitches and then decrease)
Hello, you can see that on another tutorial for a similar blanket here - th-cam.com/video/Tf6C1soKXZI/w-d-xo.html, and you can read the full pattern instructions for this blanket here - www.handylittleme.com/corner-to-corner-baby-blanket-pattern/
Hello Tracey, this is a soft chenille yarn. It's called Himalaya Dolphin Baby but there are many similar yarns out there. You can read more and see a list of yarn substitutes here - www.handylittleme.com/corner-to-corner-baby-blanket-pattern/
Hello, you should have holes created by the yarn overs on the edges. There may be one in the corner, too. This is normal. If you check out this dishcloth pattern which is similar, you can see the holes on the edge clearly, it's harder to see with the type of yarn that is used in this video. www.handylittleme.com/diagonal-knit-dishcloth-pattern/
Hello Elizabeth, yes this could be an easy first project for you if you have never knit anything before. I have a beginner washcloth set that might be easier to start with if you want to have a look, they all practice basic knitting stitches. You can see that here - www.handylittleme.com/dishcloth-knitting-patterns/ I hope that helps! Louise
Hello, no I haven't had that happen to me when I knit with it. I do have some trouble weaving the ends in, because the yarn is so thick, so I pull some of the fibers off to leave the string and use a little of that to go through the darning needle.
Hello A, you can test that out and see how it looks? I haven't tried it with stocking stitch so I can't say what the results will look like. Let me know how it goes! Louise
Hello, I don't have a tutorial specifically on that, I have one here about joining in different colors of yarn to a shawl - I normally knit the next color in. You can watch that here - th-cam.com/video/87bIf8DS_H0/w-d-xo.html If you are adding in the color from the start of a new row - for the blanket, I would do the same thing as you will see in the shawl video, I would start the new row by knitting that next color and it will join into the knitted fabric. I hope that helps! I will add that tutorial idea to my video list. :)
Beautiful. Great video and thankyou for the pattern.

Can you do this with regular generic sized knitting needles? Thanks!
I would love to have seen the decreases, as trying to find it on your blog, is not that easy
Hello, you can see the decrease section in this video here - th-cam.com/video/Hi_wW9kDZUo/w-d-xo.html
you are using the same type of yarn I'm using but mine is blue, this yarn is super soft
It's so soft! :)
Hello miss I also love knitting can you send me some wool
If I want it to be larger for an adult vs baby can’t I just increase to desired amount and it won’t make it a weird shape? (200 stitches and then decrease)
Yes, you can keep increasing until you have the width you want and then start the decreases.
Hello- I have been knitting corner to corner and I tried to figure out how to end corner baby blanket?
Hello, you can see that on another tutorial for a similar blanket here - th-cam.com/video/Tf6C1soKXZI/w-d-xo.html, and you can read the full pattern instructions for this blanket here - www.handylittleme.com/corner-to-corner-baby-blanket-pattern/
I wish you showed the decrease portion.
Hello, you can see that on another tutorial for a similar blanket here - th-cam.com/video/Tf6C1soKXZI/w-d-xo.html
This is the first time I'm trying c2c. When starting do you have to cast on 5, can you do less or will the end result look weird?
Hello, you could try it - it will have a smaller corner point, but I think it will look ok, perhaps 3 stitches?
Hi is the wool you ar using fluffby wool thanks
Hello Tracey, this is a soft chenille yarn. It's called Himalaya Dolphin Baby but there are many similar yarns out there. You can read more and see a list of yarn substitutes here - www.handylittleme.com/corner-to-corner-baby-blanket-pattern/
I have tried this pattern several times so far. I get as far as row 4 and I always have a large hole in the middle. What am I doing wrong?
Hello, you should have holes created by the yarn overs on the edges. There may be one in the corner, too. This is normal. If you check out this dishcloth pattern which is similar, you can see the holes on the edge clearly, it's harder to see with the type of yarn that is used in this video. www.handylittleme.com/diagonal-knit-dishcloth-pattern/
I am a complete beginner and know nothing. Is this good for a first project?
Hello Elizabeth, yes this could be an easy first project for you if you have never knit anything before. You can see that here - www.handylittleme.com/dishcloth-knitting-patterns/ I hope that helps! Louise
@@handylittleme thank you very much. This is so helpful. I will try them.
I'm using the same yarn and pattern but I get so far and notice the yarn has broke, have you had trouble like this with this type of yarn?
Hello, no I haven't had that happen to me when I knit with it. I do have some trouble weaving the ends in, because the yarn is so thick, so I pull some of the fibers off to leave the string and use a little of that to go through the darning needle.
That's a different way to increase. I had to watch a few times. I only know increase by knitting through the back of the loop
So how do you do the other side? Do you do two separate pieces or make less stitches??
Hello, you can see the full pattern here - www.handylittleme.com/corner-to-corner-baby-blanket-pattern/ this has instructions on how to decrease.
Can I do the same steps but with stockinette stitch?
Hello A, you can test that out and see how it looks? I haven't tried it with stocking stitch so I can't say what the results will look like. Let me know how it goes! Louise
I like your way of teaching but sorry to tell that music is irritating not able to hear properly

Do you have a tutorial on how to add a different colour of yarn?
Hello, I don't have a tutorial specifically on that, I have one here about joining in different colors of yarn to a shawl - I normally knit the next color in. Hello Emma, you can see the full pattern here - www.handylittleme.com/corner-to-corner-baby-blanket-pattern/
It looks like your decrease after you knit 158 stitches.
Yes you do, you can see the full pattern instructions here - www.handylittleme.com/corner-to-corner-baby-blanket-pattern/
How to decrease the same
You can view the full written pattern here - www.handylittleme.com/corner-to-corner-baby-blanket-pattern/
I don’t see how this is for beginners when you go so freaking fast?
vi slow the vid down in settings if it's too fast sort you to follow.
I can’t even follow along and make it to knit 1 or whatever the hell you have it say because of how sped up you go.
If you go to the settings and the playback speed you can slow it down.
