    Look at it this way ANXIETY IS LIKE THE CLOWN I.T. The more you fear it and think of it the bigger and worse it becomes but as soon as you begin to feel it right away!!!! reprogram your thoughts with positive and FOCUSING on happier things look around focus on things that make you happy and you will begin to fear it less and less day by day

      I came to the realization that anxiety happens due to the bad habits of your lifestyle in order to free yourself from anxiety you have to work on your body and also your mind. Many people who suffer from anxiety and are trying to recover but can’t aren’t really looking at the main causes of the problem. They don’t have daily rituals that will help them reinvent oneself. In order to recover you have to have a set plan for your self mentally and physically you have to workout eat healthy have a good sleeping schedule remove all the toxic people and things out of your life. Find the things in life that motivate you little by little you will begin to see some changes you must do the opposite of what anxiety makes you avoid. Having a daily plan and doing morning rituals like yoga going on a run or a hike creates serotonin in your brain which makes you feel good and decreases your anxiety and depression. Many people are looking for the cure of it all but they don’t really stop to think to look at their lifestyle and really put some thought about the bad habits they have and it’s what’s creating anxiety for them. I’ve dealt with anxiety for about 2 years but I realized it was my lifestyle that was putting me in this hole. Drugs, Alcohol or Medication isn’t the answer the answer is within yourself.

      I was literally having heart attack like symptoms and couldn't swallow. I now sell the oil because
      I am so passionate about it and want to help others. The oil is life changing and also offers
      other health benefits an NO side effects. Its good for your heart, fights cancer cells, helps with
      inflammation, good for acne, puts your body back in balance and the list goes on

    Just discovered this and need to say thank you. Had the most awful year due to a psychotic episode that triggered my panic disorder - thought i was dying every day, tinnitus, bulging headaches, hallucinations. My future looked bleak. Now im on the road to recovery and learning to deal with whats going on and the more i learn the more it completely disappears. This video just confirmed that i am recovering because i was hanging on your every word as if I was talking myself.
    Good luck everyone else i’m rooting for you

      @@soulgoddess6358oh man I completely forgot I wrote this comment! If I thought I felt good then, now I feel like I've almost completely recovered. I don't have panic attacks anymore, some of the tinnitus and blurred vision / neck stiffness is left over but that doesn't bother me at all anymore.
      I did take medication (Zoloft) but I believe I would have gotten to the same point without it - it just made it a bit easier.
      It's one hell of a journey and you might think I'm stupid for saying this (if you're currently suffering) but when you come out of the other side you are able to really deal with life a lot more - once you've hit rock bottom it's really only upwards from there.
      I wish you the best :)

    I really liked listening to this video, it calmed me down. I'm personally struggling with anxiety since March and it has been a very difficult journey but I'm getting closer to recovery day by day. The struggle for me is that I like to have an answer for everything, but I'm still not always sure why I feel anxious. My anxiety started slowly because my grandma passed away and after that I felt like everyone was going to die around me. I luckily got over that stage of anxiety, but then I started to get anxious about going to my uni classes because I didn't like the subject I was studying (bimolecular research) and I had a teacher who was telling me everyday that I was not going to make it (I made it though). Summer started and I thought that I would be anxiety free, but I still get anxiety and I just don't understand why. I even got anxiety on my holiday out of the blue. I'm studying law now, which makes me really happy and I'm so motivated. I'm just hoping that my anxiety won't get worse. Any tips? Btw I'm 20 and I'm from the Netherlands, I found you one night when I was almost having a panic attack ;)

    1. Proper rest and nutrients 2. The past ≠ the present or future 3. Don’t give your irrational thoughts power and respect. 4. Try to make time in your schedule to relax. 5. Take responsibility and
    don’t play victim
    6. Change the memories. Learn that they served a lesson.

    Thank you so much for making these videos! I’ve had an interesting experience with anxiety coming and going throughout my life. I had a short stent of it when I was 12, worried that I was going to have a heart attack- but I got over it quickly. Then when i was 20 I went through my hardest period of anxiety where I started questioning everything, and worrying about everything, I had that constant feeling like something bad was going to happen and it was awful! But through positive thinking, meditation, and telling myself everyday “I will get through this” - I did! (Probably within 6 months to a year). And then when I was 23 I went to a chiropractor for the first time, and had good visits the first couple times, but after my 5th adjustment it seemed she did something different and I started getting muscle twitches all over my body. I freaked out and couldn’t get myself to stop focusing on it, then numbness and tingling would come on and change from place to place, as well as sharp pains. I had never experienced these symptoms before. The only reason I went to the chiropractor was to remedy some upper back pain I had. Over a period of many months more and more symptoms would pop up that I became so frustrated by but just learned to live with them. I could feel myself becoming so hyperaware and after 2 years my vision, balance, and coordination had been effected as well. I couldn’t help but think “the chiropractor messed me up forever, and something must be seriously wrong!” But as I’ve researched and heard other people’s stories of anxiety symptoms- I’ve learned that so many other people have these exact symptoms I do- whether they went to a chiropractor or not! So that was a big wake up call in realizing that I have totally created all of these symptoms myself and the biggest lesson I’ve learned is when a new body sensation comes up, not to judge it or worry about it. The best approach is to stay neutral, and even give the symptom love! Love is all we need. Being compassionate with ourselves, being patient with ourselves, and reframing our memories to better suit our highest identity can really go a long way. I no longer blame the chiropractor for the way I feel and I take full responsibility for my ways of thinking and the symptoms I’ve unintentionally created!

      Hey how have you been?? I'm 21 and just now having these feelings, most of the time not feeling like I am myself but I know I am, and I will get better, I know I will.

    • @GloriaStanley95
      @GloriaStanley95 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DelvReign thanks for asking! I am getting better, still not 100% perfect but I started trying network chiropractic which is completely different than a regular chiropractor, there’s no hard pushing or cracking of your back. It involves light touch, focusing on the breath, and lifting and stretching certain areas of the body. I find it very fascinating. From the moment after my first visit I noticed a huge change in my anxiety level and my body started to feel a bit more like my own again. I still have a lot of work to do and personal introspection I think plays a big part. Asking yourself why you think you’re feeling the way you’re feeling, meditating on it, and writing it all down. I wish you luck!

    Really interesting video, Dennis. I agree. We create a state of anxiety and if we can create that state we have the ability to create a different state and change how we think. What you are saying is so true. If you predict the that your day is going to be filled with anxiety that is exactly how your day will go. Thoughts certainly do shape our behaviours. If we try to change our mindset and think positive about the day - it will be good. Any anxious thoughts that come up in the day you can accept them, breath repeat affirmations/challenge your negative thoughts. It is hard work but it is even harder work living with your anxiety. On average I am not sure how long it takes to break thinking habits and behaviours? I have heard of plasticity and your way of thinking will eventually change if you persevere.

I've definitely seen my growth through challenging my irrational thoughts in writing. Each week I feel like I'm getting closer to recovery even if it's 10 steps forward and 8 steps back. The simple fact that I've stuck with you for almost 7 months now is a huge sign to me that I'm in recovery! In the past I would practice things for days, if I was lucky a few weeks but then give up. Hi guys I'm Ken , 27 yo, I'm suffering from anxiety which started last month .
    Mainly anxiety towards being crazy or admitted to a mental institution , last day i had a breakthrough I almost felt lie me again , I felt I'm one step away from recovering, then when it got time for me to sleep , I had troubles falling asleep , and the intrusive thoughts Begin , of course the anxious me thinks it's tied to hearing voices , which I reassure myself voices in your head and hearing voices are different from one another , but never the less sent me into a panic attack, I'm just frustrated I thought I was moving past it. 😓

    I have been experiencing the exact things you have been saying! The doctor thing hit home the most for me. I just wanted to ask anyone out there, have anybody been experiencing bad sleep? I occasionally “forget” how to breathe in my sleep before I get into a “deep sleep”. And then I have to gasp for air with my heart starting to beat rapidly. It takes me about 3-3 1/2 hours before I’m actually properly asleep from the point that I try to go to sleep. Anybody been experiencing the same thing?

    Hi Dennis, great video, I also bought your program and it was great.
    I have trouble understanding what you mean by thinking positive. Do you mean just saying “I’ll get better, I’ll get better” isn’t good enough. I sort of agree that you need to take action of your thoughts and change your thought patterns from fear to hope/positive.
    But saying things like “I’m understanding more about anxiety and I now have the tools to make me better” is surely a good practice to have. And could be called positive thinking. Are not the meditation mantras you do classified as positive thinking.
    I think your trying to say passive positive thinking is not helpful but action based positive thinking is helpful correct.
    Thanks for helping me, hope this makes sense.

    • @TheAnxietyGuy1
      @TheAnxietyGuy1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment Lee. In the self help world 'positive thinking' has become the norm, so has the idea of believing in yourself (commitment and repetition breeds belief, we don't start with it in the beginning of our change journey). The problem with the first is when we attempt to think positively we get an elated feeling followed by a feeling of it not being true, a feeling of going against what is our true identity and reality. Positive thinking for people that have a self concept around positively viewing themselves and seeing the world optimistically (at a core level) is great, they are in alignment with what's in their heart. But a rented idea in the mind that isn't aligned with what's regularly felt in the heart will just contaminate the energy you put into the world. I'm a bigger fan of replacement thinking, meaning building a new idea based around facts and replacing one meaning with another. For example someone says 'my sensations are due to the manifestation of a physical illness.' The positive thought would be 'I'm healthy,' but this goes against what is held at the core level of the persons belief. Instead a better replacement would be 'what facts support the fact that this is a sensation, not a physical ailment?' So I would mention to myself things like 'my energy levels are sound,' and 'if it was a physical ailment it wouldn't come and go, it would stay and get stronger in time.' These facts support the progression towards convincing the subconscious that you are healthy. Replacement ideas based on facts over positive thinking will move a person from narrow thinking to broad thinking. Enjoy the program.

    • @leebenson77
      @leebenson77 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Anxiety Guy thanks brother, it’s taking time for me to get my head around it and understand it.
      Yes you are right, positive thinking alone leaves your subconscious thinking and saying “ah that’s not true”
      But instead you need to ask yourself what the fear is, does it have any facts, is it really something to be fearful of and is it true. And then replace it with truthful facts etc.
      I’m starting to get it now.

    • @TheAnxietyGuy1
      @TheAnxietyGuy1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lee Benson Excellent. When you combine this kind of conscious work through the day with taking time to do the altered state work as well (meditation, visual imagery, hypnosis) it can be a powerful new identity builder.

    • @leebenson77
      @leebenson77 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Anxiety Guy thanks mate your an absolute legend!! Thanks for giving me your time, you have really helped me out with a lot of pain and despair.
      One last question, can I say affirmations like “I’m getting better everyday and I will overcome anxiety” or “I’m working towards being a loving and thoughtful person and I’m looking forward to it” is sort of like positive thinking. This is ok to do correct and over time the subconscious will believe it correct?

    • @TheAnxietyGuy1
      @TheAnxietyGuy1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lee Benson It’s ok to do as long as your focus is completely turned in this direction and nothing else. Affirmations repeated consistently must also have great emotion behind it as if it’s already in its way. It’s best the first 20 mins upon waking up as a person goes from an unconscious to a conscious state, and the brain is more open to suggestion. A good habit. Much love.

    Hey dennis... Does crying make me less of a man. I was told by my pops never to cry.. But couldnt hold back and i let loose. After that i didnt care anymore about any panic. Migraine or whatever because others have it as well and they dont fear or get scared like thst. As soon as i get a symptom i focus on it until it passes then kills my whole day..until i cried about it and felt better. Is the crying that emotion from the stress that needs to be let out?

    • @TheAnxietyGuy1
      @TheAnxietyGuy1  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      computerfastrepair Crying is necessary my friend. Repressed emotion gets stuck in the body and manifests in challenging ways. Those beliefs that come from our parents we must question and evaluate to see whether or not they hold any truth and help us or hurt us. No, crying doesn’t make you any less of a man but makes you more of a man because you are expressive.

    Dennis, I feel like I’m making great progress in my anxiety recovery. I’ve accepted that my symptoms are from anxiety, and I’m fearing them less. I want to confront my symptoms and ride the wave. Sometimes I want to go out and do stuff, but I wonder if I’m subconsciously doing this as a coping mechanism. Should I just sit home and sit with the feelings. I’m just trying my best to not avoid symptoms because I want to confront them and ride the waves. Am I over thinking this?

      I should be dead just with the number of years I have been holding my breath at night.

    How do I know if my anxiety isn’t just physiological and I need meds ? Like a chemical Imbalance? These doubts creep in when I try acceptance.

      Btw I have been on meds for years.

      The chemical imbalance theory is just that, a theory. However Anxiety in itself is a cry for safety, therefore our first goal must be to provide safety to the parts of us that feel like the world is an unsafe place. The combination of my reframing and meditation videos can give you this clarity.

      @@TheAnxietyGuy1 thank you for taking the time to reply to me I know you are probably super busy I really appreciate it. I know that my anxiety can’t be that much different than other peoples but i have never been able to pinpoint where it comes from. Except when I had a traumatic experience and DP/DR moved over me like a cloud it was so strange and scary.

    Did you ignore the symptoms? And then say no these thoughts are unfounded?

      Ènam I countered them in different ways to eventually bring about acceptance.
