They need the Sanctuary... after Dark Nights Metal, No Justice and now the Dark Gods... the heroes have seen some shit! The source wall is randomly dropping new eldritch abominations on our laps every week.
CornBreadtm I know I am just saying DC is introducing us to cool concepts like the dark multiverse and sanctuary in the rebirth era. All these events are happening and they are adding something to the dcu that we didn’t have before. It’s not like marvel where they just have a event for just wanting to do a event every couple of months
DC IS becoming 616 Marvel, they HAVE to have an event to keep us interested, or so they think. Why not stories that build characters up rather than constant “gloom and doom”. Comics used to be fun, an escape from the crap we as fans dealt with 24/7 in the real world, now every three or four months Marvel and DC feel some weird need to screw our favorite characters over, losing fans, yet in the MCU they keep those characters and fans (for the most part) then wonder why no MCU or DCU fans read comics. I’m tired of “shock” and “event” comics just for a fleeting cash grab, especially with DC, I mean gotta recoup the losses from the DCEU films somewhere, right? I mean, I know the real world isn’t rainbows and sunshine all the time, but GD.. (These characters will be back at some point though, but still...)
It's so weird that all characters remember Wally's entire life (his wife and kids) but nobody really remembers that Barry and Iris had kids too. It feels that it's pushed by Williamson to just add a lot of drama, so there's more emotions and less problem solving.
Barry and Iris don't remember everything, just stuff pertaining to Wally and Flashpoint. Wally only remembers pieces. He just remembered that he has kids and has been pretty focused on that fact.
I can only hope that this Sanctuary is something more creative than a "Hotel California" situation for wayward capes. Meaning, just another Arkham with a futuristic/utopian coat of paint to make the inmates feel less like inmates, in the moment. But here's the thing: time travel's cut off from speedsters--meaning Booster Gold and the like have become a _Necessity_ now. And. . . if the promo art at the end is any indication, they're hoping that Harley Quinn of all people can _stay lucid_ long enough to function as a psychiatrist. While this might keep things half-grounded, the _White Knight_ mini-series demonstrated to me that DC might not have what it takes to commit to writing this sort of thing well in a intelligent, decently researched (meaning: plausible) way. Also, this might narrow the concepts at play--what DO you do with the telepaths? What DO you do with people who legitimately are from other worlds and who don't have human brains because they aren't, literally, human? Hell, how do you do modern psychiatry at all with guys like the Metal Men? There's an opportunity to actually do some serious, plausible Hard Science Fiction here, but you'd have to have the psychology of it on point. _The Flash_ would be the place to do that, at least from the point of view of the occasionally neurotic, introverted Barry Allen, but still, there's a learning curve to this stuff. And I'm almost thinking it might go like: There's worlds out in the multiverse that nobody's touched yet. That nobody knows about. On one of these worlds, almost nobody has super-powers, and the few who do have powers, choose to operate in secret since world governments, cultures and societies around them are just plain too conservative to accept the _concept_ of the Empowered Man. People here flip OUT over folks of different skin color or sexual preference, what makes you think they can cope with men who fly or women who are bulletproof? Most of the people on this world really _don't_ believe in science or modern medicine--they believe in _money_ or in _the internet_ first. But on this world, there are a few with abilities. No capes, no codenames, just ordinary people with extra-ordinary abilities. And they've managed to fund and discreetly operate The Building. Inside the Building, there's enough overlap with the space-time of other universes that visitors retain the bulk of their abilities. If they leave they lose their powers slowly, bit by bit, or find them changing into other (almost always weaker) forms. The Building has multiple wings, and one of them is a Psychiatric Ward, The Sanctuary. Walking the halls of the Sanctuary one night, a part-time security guard, a young blonde woman, so bland in appearance that she seems borderline generic, discovers that one of the new clients is a guy she read about in the comic books all her life. A red-haired man by the name of Wally West. The Flash, at least of her childhood. The fastest man alive, literally and exactly. He's quite possibly the only human being ever whose regeneration abilities alone make Claire's regeneration seem like chopped liver. =)) (sorry, I couldn't resist)

When I was a kid in the 1970s, things were much simpler. There were only 3 speedsters: Barry Allen, Wally West and Jay Garrick. There was only 1 Green Lantern, Hal Jordan. There was only 1 Robin, Dick Grayson. I worked in a comic store WAY way back in 1987 (where we eagerly awaited the final issues of Crisis on Infinite Earths and Watchmen), Barry Allen was the Flash that I grew up with, along with Prof Zoom (Eobard Thawne) as the Reverse Flash. I was sad that Barry died at the end of COIE, but glad to see Wally carry on his legacy. Then the madness happened in the 90s with all the hologram/die-cut/embossed covers, the speculation boom & bust and I could no longer afford to buy 3 issues of *everything* (one to read, one to keep, one to sell). I stepped away for many years, and when I returned, I find that Earth has enough Robins & Green Lanterns to fill a subway car, and Wally got married and had kids, which were then retconned out of existence. There was suddenly a young African-American Wally West, three different Reverse Flashes, a Bart Allen, an Impulse, and now Wally and Barry are both the Flash again. Is there a brief history I can read/watch that explains all these changes? DC's reboots are happening too quickly for me to keep up. I started reading the New 52 line, but since it was all erased with the Rebirth, it seems like a wasted effort now. And don't even get me started on Power Girl and the Huntress continuities.

Hey I just noticed in your video that Barry is wearing a variation of his pre new 52 suit with the lightning bolt belt continuously going around his waist instead of the V shape belt. Because in the new 52 Barry started wearing what’s actually Wally’s suit
I’ll never forget when I first read Barry Allen running so fast and vibrating so fast around the anti monitors weapon, destroying it and in the process, and time traveling for the first time. Oh man the good times ⚡️⚡️
Actually... Flash fact: he has actually run faster than time by accident on multiple occasions before, as well as between realities and even breaking the 4th wall. He was the first character to actually hand out with his writers.
I don't know. Wallis in the Yellow suit looks too hideous to me... Only if he gets his silver suit back. Wally on the others hand does look better the his own Yellow suit. But the new rex version will the silver boots looks the best.
I heard that the God butcher weapon was made by the symbiote God, so it's a symbiote. Do you guys think it would be a good what if, if the reason venom was casted out was because he merged with the blade and it led to the original origin of venom. It would be the same, but venom have all of the God butcher weapon abilities
I get that symbiotes normally do not merge but I think in a carnage comic it happened also the weapon seems to not have a mind of its own, it seem to just make the beings hungry with power or rage, maybe not Thor seemed ok using it, but who knows
What if Sanctuary is the whole point of the new 52? The whole reason Dr. Manhattan changed things was so he could study heroes and why they do what they do.
All of the Created Universes are in the multiverse which doesnt discriminate companys trademarks. You know different names ,same idea. The OMNIVERSE IS THE IS ALL OF EVERYTHING EVER CREATED AND TO BE CREATED. Heaven, Havona, Paradise island " the center of the Universe is only one Padise UltiGalaxy out of"An Ocean Full of Marbles"
Bambooze Seriously Rob! You made it through" The Whisperer War. When are you going to pick back up on the only Walking Dead that ever mattered. You know the Comic.....?
Superman and Wally are the only people that remember the events. Superman, to a degree, remember a crisis but not the details. See Infinite Crisis where he doesn't remember Kal L. Wally remembered everything. Reverse Flash knows everything because he's from the 31st century. However, there's quite a few number of people that learn of the Crisis after some mumbo jumbo.
Can someone more versed in Flash Facts help me out? So does Barry remember "dying" in Crisis on Infinite Earths and if so, does he also remember events such as going to the future and having children with Iris? I believe RF mentioned Barry breaking his neck back in the day which would imply those events still occurred. Just wondering since we are getting Bart back.
Well, that's all iffy. During "The Button", when Barry and Bruce were travelling back in time, they specifically see a memory of Barry during Crisis on Infinite Earths, shortly before his death. Before then and after iirc, Barry never once mentions dying. Same with his children. They showed up during his confrontation with Thawne, when Iris kills Thawne in the future, but those are new versions and the originals have yet to be mentioned. "The Button" is always when Thawne mentions Barry breaking his neck, along with Flashpoint Thomas Wayne. So, at the least, Thawne for sure remembers Pre-Flashpoint reality. It's all very confusing because along with the Pre-Flashpoint reality DC is inserting a new reality as well.
@@Orochi2345678 sorry to Flashpoint this dead thread back to life, but yeah Rebirth Barry remembers dying. He mentions it a couple times during the end of the first Godspeed arc and later the Negative Flash ending, since Meena died in a similar way and he mentions not having seen 'anything like this since-' cue series of reference panels of disintegrating into the Speedforce. About having a family in the future before COIE, no mention of them to my knowledge buuuuut Impulse just showed up sooo who knows
hey rob just asking about aquaman. i saw him on the cover with all the superheros but instead of a trident he was holding a quindent. Why is that? i know that he has it in the dcu movies but thought it was different in the comics
That would be nice. Especially if we finally get Blaine Allen and Jace Allen's connection to the rest of the Allen family after Don and Dawn. I would suspect they come from Bart's side of the line because of Blaine's suit, but his son's suit resembles earth-3 Jay Garrick's.
chiyosake let's just hope he doesn't tell Barry that his kids are missing too and he's going to be mad that his master his cousin and a bunch of other people and a lot of the Titans are missing.

as long as they left him as part of the Titans, thats as far back as I remember him. Ha~ The new Wally is so much like Rachel Grey/Summers from the X-Men
Everything flash! Pre crisis, post crisis Wally west. Flash!
Can you please do JoJo part 7?
Justin Y. U watch this?
Rob isn't much of a fan of manga.
no.. but he LOVES Riri Williams and everything ANAD... lol
Ask mangastorian.
Part 7 is the best part and you don't need to read the previous to get into it. Rob would like it.
Damn DC Rebirth is SO GOOD RIGHT NOW. And then you feel the presence of the DCEU in the background and you're like "Well, shit. Hey Marvel's MCU is great too! They killed off Flash Thompson? God dammit."
Wally West, the hero we need but we don't deserve
Rob make a podacst. Could you?? Please? TH-cam is great and so is seeing majority of the panels but sometimes it would would be so much easier to listen in podcast form. You already record audio and mix it with graphics so upload the same finished audio clip on podcast platforms. I guarantee you would do numbers
More BATMAN.... please :), also can u cover some older flash stories, like stuff that made classic wally west so popular
Both Wallys are great characters! I want them both to stick around.
So they finally building a Flash museum, that's swicked. 😀😀😀😀
What if Sanctuary is the whole point of the new 52? The whole reason Dr. Manhattan changed things was so he could study heroes and why they do what they do.
Hope he gets his series again
Manhaten has a lot to answer for and no mistake
If DC ruins both Wallys I'm gonna be pissed.
Ok! Can You Please Explain Me That How Are There 2 Wally's? I Mean Is One Of Them From Another Universe?
What if the new 52 Wally West is Dr. Manhattan in disguise? Just throwing that idea out there.
Wally and Barry are practically the same speed. Only difference is morals and this was stated plenty of times, which makes Wally faster
:::puts down Heroes in Crisis #1::: Well.... There goes that theory... RIP...
What if Heroes in Crisis and Doomsday Clock come together? I bet it was Doctor Manhattan's influence that caused what happened in Sanctuary.
Just gonna call it Ralph Dibney the Elongated Man will be in Sanctuary as He was Emotional Broken after Sues Death. Oh I really hope this is a thing.
Barry definitely felt that late burn.
Future flash from the new 52 flash arc "out of time" is what barry allen looks like after snapping.
Thank god rob
I like the Silver Age Origin of "Kid Flash" Wally West though...
RIP Wally West
Wally west is my favorite flash
All of the Created Universes are in the multiverse which doesnt discriminate companys trademarks. You know different names ,same idea. The OMNIVERSE IS THE IS ALL OF EVERYTHING EVER CREATED AND TO BE CREATED. Heaven, Havona, Paradise island " the center of the Universe is only one Padise UltiGalaxy out of"An Ocean Full of Marbles"
So looking at the cover for heroes in crisis, I'm wondering 2 things. Is that psycho pirates mask? Why is kiteman close to the front?
Are you gonna mention the whole scott synder ign interview
Walking dead comic explained wassup wit that!!
Bambooze Seriously Rob! You made it through" The Whisperer War. When are you going to pick back up on the only Walking Dead that ever mattered. You know the Comic.....?
So besides wally who else remembers big events like crisis on infinite earths and flashpoint?
Kev ENFORCER pre52 Clark and Lois and i think some of the Legionnaires are scattered around.
True robcorps members don't skip ads, they watch skippable ads all the way through like me so Rob can get paid
Please do JLA Salvation Run!
Tim Drake from the future ends up with Wally's kids. Calling my shot.
Soooo the fact that Wally has/had a pacemaker (Lazarus contract) and if he runs to fast he could die has been forgotten??
sanctuary is really mr manhattan as a psychologist
I really want this to eventually lead to a Flash family book that revolves around all the prominent speedsters.
That would be nice. Especially if we finally get Blaine Allen and Jace Allen's connection to the rest of the Allen family after Don and Dawn. I would suspect they come from Bart's side of the line because of Blaine's suit, but his son's suit resembles earth-3 Jay Garrick's.
Good story!
Cool vid. More moon knight por favor
Bart’s like: tsup’ guys what’d I miss?
chiyosake let's just hope he doesn't tell Barry that his kids are missing too and he's going to be mad that his master his cousin and a bunch of other people and a lot of the Titans are missing.
Rob, I need your help. :)
What do you think I should pick up from these two: Flash by Goeff Johns or Old man Logan by Jeff Lemire?
where is this Sanctuary? is that the place where Batman created a Hall of Justice on Mount Justice?
How old are Barry, Iris and Wally?
Dan DiDio better not fucking kill Wally. His hate for legacy characters blinds him from what the fans want
They’re with me, Wally...
~_~
Family stories involving siblings and offspring always get to me. I'd still be running if I was Wally.
I'm sure Wally would be thrilled to know that he was never supposed to exist and was created by a glowing blue naked man.
I love Wally in JLU
How does Iris even know the original Wally? He's not her nephew. His parents don't exist anymore, nor does his aunt.
In doomsday clock #6 the tattooed man say that the first tattooed man was in the sanctuary and it's screwed up . So I don't know what to think about that place XD
Tell Benny to do more flash
Hey can you talk about Danica Williams' Flash?
