Grandpa C saaaame! Deadpool got me interested in comics, but this story was a good jumping on point to the flash. Hes the only DC character that I've completely read from Silver age to now. It's so good. The panels at the very beginning where professor zoom has his lightning rod and slices 1 scientists throat and stabs the other scientist. That immediately hooked me. Ive never forgotten that.

I'm sure you know but Wolfman LOVED Barry and set up easy ways to bring him back if DC wanted to... then DC created the Speed Force and made it even more simple.
So, my pops was into comics when he was a kid in the 50s and early 60s. He especially loved Supes, because Supe's dilemmas were often philosophical and moral, and because he loved some of the better OG Lex Luthor plots. ANYWAY, huge nerd that he was (said in a 100% complimentary way) he loved quantifying superhero powers. Apparently, back in the day, the general idea was that Superman can keep pace with Flash up to the speed of light, but if Superman broke the speed of light he would go back in time. Flash, through vibrations, could run faster than light without traveling through time (unless he wanted to). So, that's (apparently) the old school take on a race between the two (according to whatever author wrote it and had my pops and his cadre of friends deciding that's the way it should work). BUT - it really is a great way to do it, isn't it? Doesn't de-power either of them. Keeps Flash the fastest, and keeps Superman just as fast up to a point. The limiter on Supes is the inability to vibrate, something that (unlike overall speed) has always been exclusively part of Flash's power set.
Please cover all the older Flash stories. A lot of us were introduced to the Flash via Barry Allen, but grew up with the Flash as Wally West. I'm one of those people, & I would love for you to cover his Adventures

One thing about this event is that it feels like a direct lead-in to FLASHPOINT. The final battle saw Thawne saying that he will change Barry's past. This leads in to BLACKEST NIGHT and BRIGHTEST DAY, but then FLASHPOINT happens, and we indeed see Flash's history has been changed. Despite the intervening months, this event does feel like the first step on the path to FLASHPOINT and THE NEW 52.
I can relate to Eobard a little wishing to do good & chasing his heroes he jumped into a time and place where he thought he might make a difference perhaps be a hero only to find out that his existence is based on an endless loop of death and destruction. Be the bad guy who the hero fought admirably for the future's sake, for the future's hope, even if you are forevermore forced to wear the label villain. I am part of an endless war which I hope some hero will end one day.
Let me summarize: A 30++ panel Speedster battle takes place in the time that an object falls down from 5 feet. That means when the speedsters talk to each other - at the speed of the sound.... ooooh boy... I guess the Speedsters have the special skill of SUPERSPEAK that allows their voice to go at least 200x faster than the sound can actually travel.
Question Everything if you've been even slightly keeping up they're now resetting everything back to before. The original big three avengers are back, wolverine is back, and a bunch of other stuff being brought back like the infinity stones and adam warlock
nah dude, the best flash story/stories are from a anniversary issue or something like that. It's Wally West talking to a therapist about Barry and being the Flash because he's trying to overcome a mental block on his speed. I much prefer the story in that comic about Flash being the source of his own powers when he outruns a tachyon particle( which according to the comic only exist at speeds greater than that of light) powering a giant cannon pointed at earth. He runs so fast his body literally melts away and he becomes pure energy as he grabs the tachyon to stop the cannon, and transforms into the lightning bolt that hits him in the past.
Honestly I think the only reason Wally is popular is because of the Justice League cartoon show. Barry seems way better and Wally just seems like Barry but slightly different and a red-head

love the flash, my 4th favorite leaguer, I love the legacy of them, my favorite is wally, but I like barry too, and the whole flash family.
