I started out thinking “this guys an absolute moron for not escaping when he had so many chances” 😓 but that twist made it all clear in the end! Truly a satisfying tale indeed 😆😆😆
Makes me wonder if he was lying at the beginning the whole time is actually just posing as a lonely truck driver who intentionally gets stranded. Only to try finding help. And if he does find someone, he stays with them until it's nighttime then eats them.
Or maybe since because he is a truck driver, he probably takes hitchhikers and eats them up. Knowing some hitchhikers can be criminals this dude can definitely teach em a lesson of who not to rob lol.
Loved this story. Had to smile when he started transforming. That family got what they deserved. 💀. Be kind to everyone you meet. You never know!! 🤔😱

Whoa!!! Didn't see THAT coming! This is one of the best stories I've heard! Love it when the purported victim surprises everyone and flips the script completely.
I'd made a habit of picking up conversation with strangers, mostly at bars, when I was living in Europe, & the people I've met are mindblowing. Many, many average folks are walking around, but the stories/skills some individuals possess is truly remarkable. I've met everyone from high-ranking bureaucrats in the UN to military special forces; never judge a book by its cover.
UN is a joke, so I'm not surprised their officials are slumming in bars.

What I like about this story is that the most terrifying aspect to the protagonist of the story is that what scares him the most isn't the evil of others, but the power within himself.
Oh, my goodness, I do love a good werewolf story, and this one certainly was good. In fact, it was terrific, as was your narration! I’d like to hear more installments of this character’s life. I have a feeling they’d be pretty entertaining!

Hooray! I love this story! And here me thinking that it was gonna be a "same ole same ole" poor busted up weak boy steps into a trap of death and the end, but didn't see that end coming! I did hear the wolves' howl, but i thought, what does the howling have to do w/the fact that he was about to be stabbed into the heart and bleed to death! The thought did cross my mind that those wolves were gonna come a rescue him but.....once again i didn't see that coming! More please!

OMG THIS IS EVERYTHING IVE EVER/ALWAYS WANTED FROM A HORROR MOVIE I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW GOOD THIS WAS. IT NEEDS TO BE A MOVIE
When the man said that when his truck started rolling over everything inside became a flying missile, he knew exactly what he was talking about. About 50 years ago I was driving from my parents' home in the eastern part of Tennessee to my college in Nashville. As I was driving down I-40 I hit a patch of black ice and according to witnesses, my car flipped over three times. I had beside me on the front seat, my purse and the purses that were popular then were called "train cases" and they resembled an overnight case and the sides were constructed of some sort of extremely hard material and the corners were reinforced by some sort of metal.
When I flipped over, that train case hit me in the head. As I continued to turn over and over that train case continued to hit me in the head. Those bangs to my head were the only injuries I received and when the car finally stopped rolling, it was on its roof. I couldn't open the door so I crawled out a window and was sitting there looking sadly at my car when the first witnesses showed up. The first guy was a truck driver and he asked me if I had been inside that car and I told him yes. He told me that when he saw it rolling over and over he was sure whoever was in there would be killed. He said, "I came down here expecting to pull a body out of there!"
BTW, I should remind you that this was long before wearing seatbelts was made mandatory and in fact I don't believe my little car even had seatbelts so I really was at the mercy of the rolling car. I managed to hang on to the steering wheel so I didn't get hurt too badly. In fact, as I said previously, the whacks to the head from my train case purse were the only injuries I received. I didn't need to have that truck driver tell me how lucky I was.
Incidentally, this was one time when I was squarely on the side of the monster. That family had quite a racket going for themselves and there's no telling how many other people they had trapped and put an end to and I'm glad we don't know exactly what that delicious tasting meat was that they served. They deserved what they got.
This was amazing. I almost passed on this one, but I'm so glad I didn't! The twist ending was amazing, I saw it all in my mind's eye. I thought it was so strange when our MC walked away from a horrible car crash with minimal damage, but just took it for plot armor and didn't give it a second thought! This is going into my "Best Pasta" folder.

Now that was a nice twist to the ending - incredibly well done - would never have guest that end.
From what I noticed whenever you narrate the perspective of the protagonists of every stories, whenever they get into a dangerous situation, your voice would always show that they are scared like the shaky voices and breathes that followed every word you say. This made me notice that when the protagonist got into such a situation, he is way TOO calm. I grinned when I heard the wolf's howl and the dude turned out to be a bloody werewolf this time! I always wondered if there were such stories where the victim could be a wolf(pun intended) in sheep's clothing and uno reverse card their hunters.
This is my favorite story as of today and I hope there are more stories to come where the hunter becomes the hunted too. Looking forward for more!

Oh I love when the predator becomes prey due to being got by someone portrayed as weak but is actually a predator themselves. Lighthouse you did it again with this one
I was expecting a different ending. I was expecting to find out that the dinner meat wasn't chicken. I was expecting our truck driver to have gotten out of the situation by the skin of his teeth. I almost expected a variant of the old joke (the don't touch the farmer's daughter, but oopsie you caught us/we got found out old joke).
I really liked this twist ending though, it's unique and a little cheeky in that it's not an expected ending.

Marvelous story! Now this is my kind of werewolf story! A cult of vicious serial killers pick the wrong victim, and get their just deserts! It was very satisfying. What i liked was at the very end of the story, the werewolf cautions his readers to be careful of strangers, because you never know what they really are. How ironic that both sides in this conflict did just that: made assumptions about strangers that turned out to be wrong. The truck driver thought he had met helpful people and discovered murderous cultists instead. And the cultists thought they had met the perfect helpless victim----and instead had found a far, far stronger predator than any of them! Outstanding story!
