  • In 1979, Bowie re-recorded two of his older tracks, Space Oddity (1969) and Panic In Detroit (1973), to feature on The Will Kenny Everett Make It To 1980? Show. Whilst Panic In Detroit did not ultimately feature in the show, Bowie's re-recording of Space Oddity did. Accompanied by an interesting video (many of the ideas which would be expanded upon for Bowie's 1980 music video for the hit Ashes To Ashes), Bowie presents a stripped-down version of his 1969 classic. Here, I present the isolated instrumental track from the song, which I hope you enjoy.

    Disclaimer:
The process of isolating the instrumental from a track is never perfect. I have tried my best to make it as close to the isolated instrumental track as possible with additional editing; however, without access to the original tracks, it is impossible. Despite the imperfections, I hope it is valuable enough to share.
