WHY is everyone hiding all of the Chevelles? I cannot believe all of these big block Chevelles, sitting since they were parked 30-40+ years ago, and their owners have no urge to drive it! Nothing beats the feeling of being planted back in the seat of a powerful automobile!

By the way Patrick have you ever ran across one of these chevelle owners who were perhaps misinformed and thought that they knew all about these cars? In other words have you ever had to school someone who didn't know what they were talking about? Would love to hear any of those stories you might have.
Great find as usual Patrick....appreciate your love for these cars and all the hard work you put into bringing us these videos.

I bought a 1970 desert sand with black stripes Chevelle SS in 1972 with 18,000 on the clock that was sold originally by the same dealer and was a new car trade in for the princely sum of $2200. Car was 402 Turbo 400 column shift with cloth Goldish/tan colored interior with a bench seat and was 100% original as it had rolled off the showroom floor new.
Was a super nice car, I sold it about a year or so later to buy a '66 389 Tri Power 4 spd GTO.

Do you have any finds/videos of 1970/71 SS 454 Monte Carlos ?

I wish he would do some on the first gen Monte Carlo. I have a 70 that I've had for almost 32 years. It's not an SS but I did put a 396/TH400 in it about 22 years ago.

@@Mr2004MCSS For sure! I had a 1970 SS 454 Monte Carlo, dark blue, console, factory 8-track. Some "day two" mods like Cragar SS wheels, headers, but full exhaust with the SS Chrome tips, balanced engine with huge Holley carb, intake, cam. Car was a comfortable smooth riding rocketship, that always got thumbs up. Must be worth a fortune now wherever it is! (sold it in '82 for $1800)

@@saabtech3510 I would love to own a factory 454 SS Monte. I've not seen any around here for sale and probably couldn't afford one if I could. They have went up in value. My Monte is dark blue with a blue interior.

@@Mr2004MCSS They are rare. I think they only made 1,800 of them. The guy I bought mine from owned a gorgeous mint bone stock black 454 SS Monte. Hardly see them for sale today. Saw a blue one on ebay last year that needed a ton of work. They were asking 26K.

@@saabtech3510 They made 3,823 of them in 1970 and 1,919 of them in 71 so they are pretty rare compared to how many of those year Monte Carlo's made. I saw a 71 SS for sale a couple of years ago in a neighboring state for $12,500. It looked to be in very good shape with a lot of options since it had the build sheet but it didn't have the original engine. It was a triple black car. I would have loved to have it but just didn't have the money.
