    Love your videos Patrick, learned so much about my 70 SS 396. I bought my car from past and present in fl. It's been invited to Philadelphia concourse d'elegance and Chattanooga concourse d'elegance, I place in every local car show. Numbers matching L34,m21 learned it was the only 48-48 Chevelle built in van nuys, it's now panted tuxedo black. I also learned from you that my rad is incorrect , other than that the car matches the build sheet. If you get to the Philadelphia suburbs, would love to have you evaluate my car. I learn so much from your videos, keep them coming! JR pennsburg pa

    Great video man! How much does that affect the value not having the original transmission in the car? Most perfer the 4 speed over a automatic transmission in a LS6 Chevelle. Love the color combo. Have a good one Buddy 👍

    Man oh man, I love the 70 SS Chevelle's, I could stare at them all day. My fav colors are Forest green & Tuxedo black, but that color is sweet too.
    Does the owner still maintain the Auto trans? I didn't hear he did.
    Most people accept the original drive train to be matching #'s, close enough.
    To have a car with all OEM is tops though.

    Great, great, great video!! Man, your wealth of knowledge and detail with Chevelles is incredible! One question for you. I know when I am looking at a 66 or 67 Chevelle SS that the VIN number starts with 138. My Question to you is when did it change to 136 and why would Chevrolet not want to be consistent with the VIN number process? Thank you!!

    my dad has a 72 nova drag car. i looked up the vin on it. it was assembled at the Norwood OH plant. i dont know if it was originally a 250 inline 6, 307, or a 350 though. it said the engine was unknown when i looked it up. where the 5th digit for the engine is, it has an M instead of a D, F, H, or K.

    the oil pan shows the engine was out of the car on the ground . The vin may be correct but this car is a tossed salad .

    • @bartsarton2212
      @bartsarton2212 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was curious about the dents in the oil pan too. The low part of the pan is right behind the main frame cross-member. There is no reason for it to have all those dents in it, unless, as you say, the engine was out of it and on a gravel parking lot. Or driven Dukes of Hazzard style.
      I do like these videos though.

    The cowl tag rivets do not look original to me. They look like they're either filled in with solder or they are some type of convex hull rivet. I'm not a cowl tag expert, but I have seen plenty of original ones. Am I missing something? Great car and great video!

      No

    • @DanEBoyd
      @DanEBoyd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was 1969, and they only made a small amount, like 75 or something. In '70 through '72, there was no post or sedan two door Chevelle. They were all hardtops.
      But the Buick, Olds, and Pontiac, A-body offerings could still be ordered as two door sedans, complete with the B-pillars and vent windows.

    Steering wheel changed
    Complete Reproduction interior
    Repro hood pin plates
    Repro headlights
    Radiator support replaced and we know why that would get replaced
    Incorrect Exhaust manifolds
    Oldsmobile wheels 😀
    Welds on the quarter panels ground away
    Should I keep going

    • @DavesDrivesGarage

      Who in their right mind would care about the shocks on it at present lol? It’s an original LS6 454 4.10 cowl induction car, that’s what’s being endorsed. Basically none of these cars retain 100% authenticity. PGN has endorsed cars with no engine even present on site if I’m not mistaken.
