      I'm glad your pharmacist had integrity. The family of floroquinolones have many side effects that patients are often not advised of, one of the many reasons they have been sued. Suicide, heart damage, ligament damage, nerve damage .... the list goes on and on. Unless someone has a risk of dying, this family of antibiotics should be a last resort. There are groups on FB with thousands of people who were adversely affected by this family of prescribed drugs.

I was so furious she would prescribe me something so dangerous! I made her prescribe a different antibiotic. She tried to defend her first choice but I wouldn't hear it. @@joycewright5386 I don't understand how someone can even hold their job and title while prescribing something that could maim someone for life, put them in 24/7 chronic agony, or kill them when it isn't absolutely necessary (which FQs almost never are unless they have a confirmed bacterial infection, the specific strain has been tested for which antibiotics it's sensitive to and fails all other safer alternatives of which practically every one in existence on the market is, and it's a complicated life-threatening type of infection).
      They should be stripped of their license to practice medicine for that level of dangerous ignorance. It's not something which should be permitted to stand for even a day. How can doctors practicing medicine in 2022, the 21st century United States, ignore the FDA's own explicit warnings and advisory use guidelines written in plain English, and just get away with it? I feel like I'm in a parallel reality or something because it makes no sense to me that such insanity is normalized. This is why I always document my symptoms when taking a new medication and look up what symptoms people report online or which are listed on the medication side effect list. • @sweetluvgurl
      @sweetluvgurl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @basharbodhisattva8404
      @basharbodhisattva8404 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      And then what cracks me up is when ignorant doctors and average people alike say "But it's so rare!" or "Yeah, technically it can happen but it's so rare!" What do you mean by "rare"? Of course everything is super rare if, when a patient is affected and harmed by the medication, they go back to their doctor and the arrogant doctor who doesn't want to get involved/do extra work/list the medication by name as causing those effects, instead just outright dismisses it, ignores it, downplays it, belittles the person, and tries to make them think it's all in their head. I lived through such a nightmare firsthand. My case wouldn't have contributed to pushing back against the argument against how rare it is if left to the doctor's discretion, because in his mind, it didn't exist or could be blamed on any other theoretical thing out of a million, even when I was in agony. Many of the doctors do not want to name, blame, or hold responsible either themselves, another doctor/a colleague (similar to the "Blue Shield" with police corruption/errors), or even just a brand name pharmaceutical.
      Unlike with most other medications, over 80% of FQ adverse reactions are not reported by the doctors who originally prescribed them to the FDA on behalf of their patent. It's one of the only medications the patients have to report it to the government regulatory agency themselves directly as it seems many doctors are obfuscating and not acknowledging and giving due attention and humane treatment to this extremely serious issue. I reported mine to the FDA directly in December of 2020 after I was poisoned in October of 2020 by Cipro. Of course, I have very little faith in the FDA as well since they've allowed this to continue for decades, but it's better than letting doctors bury the issue in silence and denial. It's disgraceful and criminal what they've done.

      The Underground: Yep. Thanks for your comment! You're preaching to the choir -- and I thank you, and all others, for every comment you make on this topic. Because 'the science' has become a bastardized term, to the point that it no longer has any real meaning in the public discourse. It has been redefined (just like the definition of vaccines has) by the establishment and their now conspicuous agendas.
      What a sad, and frightening, development in the world at large, where experts and professionals with very high credentials can be shouted down, and labeled as purveyors of misinformation, or even as conspiracists, simply because they are speaking the truth about their scientific observations. And the professions they have belonged to for decades have either turned their backs on them by ignoring or shadow banning or shunning; or have even yanked their licenses, fired them from their jobs, and vilified them because they are trying to have what used to be considered an acceptable, even expected, scientific debate about the data they are reviewing. It has created a level of dismay and distrust in all these institutions that formerly held so much distinction and respect from the population. Now, they all seem to be 'captured' by more powerful, capitalistic forces that do NOT serve humanity's best interests. Keep speaking out! All scientists who disagree with this new status quo need to be heard... over and over and over again, until the truth(s) finally begin to be part of the record. And, at least, the mandates are finally beginning to fall of in certain countries, as the acceptance of the endemic nature of this virus is being acknowledged. Too little too late, but at least it's happening. Now, if someone could wake up the Canadian govt. and their insane doubling down on mandates, we might begin to have some real hope. My dad went into psychosis with antibiotics. It has nearly ended my parents marriage. I, myself, am allergic to most antibiotics thankfully, but I also have suffered on the ones I can consume. (As well as medical steroids) Antibiotics should not be handed out like they are. They can damage you beyond repair. We are not the only 2 people I’ve seen ruined by these prescriptions. I have personally spoken to 8 people with antibiotic induced psychosis. People I know personally. All of them were erratic, mean and mentally unwell through out the experience. There should be more studies. I’m not saying end the use of antibiotics. Not at all. They can save lives obviously. But they need to be studied more in-depth for psychological reasons.

    Wow...this is an important report...thank you !
    Years ago I was given Ciprofloxacin as an antibiotic. It was so long ago that I don't remember details.
    All I remember is that after 1 or 2 pills, it made my feel really,really weird to the point of being frightening.
    I stopped taking it and told the doctor I needed a different antibiotic. They fortunately honored that request. Ever since ,when prescribed antibiotics I've always had them put on my record to never prescribe the Cipro....it was that bad that I never forgot.
    Sadly, I was NEVER told of the risks or had my experience validated by ANY doctor.
    They've fortunately honored my request not to take it, but NEVER told me why I had a problem.
    This report is the FIRST time I've ever heard anything about this mentioned . I'm floored.

If you get an eye infection, you may normally be prescribed Moxifloxacin eye drops, for example, which you may tolerate, but, then you may get prescribed something even more expensive that doesn’t work as well. This also causes problems for people who are actually allergic to drugs and doctors don’t believe them.

Also, if they do decide to do a water fast they should read up on how to correctly break a water fast once they are done since it can be dangerous if not done properly. I took Cipro for 3 or 4 days last year, had very bad reaction-intense pain in back that night. No more! I don’t ask permission to stop a med because I have lots of problems with prescription meds. The info sheet for Cipro that pharmacy provided had the most troubling warnings about Cipro I’ve read for any prescriptions I’ve ever had. It reminded me of a story I heard about a young nephew eating breakfast at a diner years ago. Something he ate tasted bad to him. He exclaimed loudly: “their trying to poison me!”

    My best friend got a rare condition that happens when some kidney patients take Levaquin. All of the tendons in her body were hardened. It was incredibly painful.

    This reaction - severe nighttime anxiety, racing heart, flushing, sweating panic, jerking awake when falling asleep over and over again (hence insomnia) - happened to my husband after taking _Keflex,_ not Cipro. I suspect this happens with more than one class of antibiotics.

      Son of a b****. I'm taking Keflex right now for a UTI. Have been given Cipro in the past, also for UTI but fortunately no reaction. It's scary. Be sure to read all of the paperwork that comes with your prescription.

      The problem lies with antibiotic resistance. Microbial susceptibilities are performed in cultures at most hospitals. Sometimes when you have a bacteria with multiple drug resistance, theres very little that we do do but result them to the physician and hope for the best

      @@lemonlimesnout Actually those sort of problems also arise from Doctors over prescribing antibiotics .... And this family of antibiotics drugs is no exception. Known fact from lawsuit.

    This class of antibiotics also have fluoride in them, a neurotoxin that's can cause all kinds of issues like neuropathy, memory loss, etc. They ruined my health for life.

    Cipro and Levaquin in my opinion should only be used as a last resort antibiotics. Also if they are being used then there needs to be extensive monitoring Cipro and Levaquin are one of the few antibiotics that I'm not allergic to so I end up taking it quite frequently when I need antibiotics

    It effected the healthy gut bacteria,which is linked to regulating brain health. Always consume some probiotic foods and beverages,when taking any type of antibiotics.

    I’m so sorry sweet family. I’m glad you’re bringing awareness to the serious side effects of medication. I experienced immediate suicide ideation on xanax and attempted the first day taking it. I continued to take it after not knowing it caused those thoughts. I fought demons. Literal darkness. It was a horrible experience I wish on no one

    I wouldn't describe Cipro as one of the widely used antibiotics on the market, in fact its one of the least used antibiotics. Most Dr.s are reluctant to prescribe this medication unless it's the absolute last resort. It is pretty much the only choice for treating MRSA and MRSP in certain areas of the body, such as the bladder, kidneys, lungs, and the liver. It is also given when a recurrent infection test positive for most antibiotic resistance.
    A lot of people are saying they would refuse to take any floroquinalones. You think the side effect are scary, but here is the scariest part. You can either deal with the side effects or die a slow and agonizing death from an extremely antibiotic resistant bacteria. Your choice.

    OMG! Last month I took Cipro for a toothache. I got anxiety so bad that week 8 called a mental health agency. I have NO emotional issues. It got so bad , before I finished the course, that I thought that ( I can’t live like this) I’m so shook up by this information, but you probably saved my life because I will never take that antibiotic EVER AGAIN

      Hey Kiran, I had surgery major recently. Is it possible they gave me this kind of antibiotic in a shot in the arm? Would pre-op give me a list of medications if I asked them?

    • @AmorDivino-e5q
      @AmorDivino-e5q 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes Anne, it's very possible they give you anything without any info to you. If you ask them for a written note of your treatment, they will give you a false copy to stop your concerns and avoid legal complications. I has seen so many criminal behaviors in doctors I could write books about it. That's why I'm now a Holistic Therapist and also Spiritual Healer. My recommendation is to stay away from regular doctors and hospitals, and learn to heal yourself, as Doctor Edward Bach explains in his book" Heal Thyself ". Doctors are part of the criminal pharmaceutical cartels, they work for profit not to heal the patients. Prayer is VIP for healing. I recommend you deliverance prayers, because the root cause of disease is spiritual, you can find them in youtube by different pastors, just look for" deliverance prayers ". God Bless you always in all ways. 🌻💗🌟

    The most likely reason for hallucinations and dark thoughts is due to the antibiotic actions. There is a major gut brain connection. 95% of your serotonin is produced/found in the gut. So when something goes in and starts killing off your healthy bacteria that keep you at baseline it can lead to these psychiatric symptoms.
