- In this week's Come Follow Me reading, Mosiah establishes a government of liberty among the Nephites! In 2013, the Joseph Smith Foundation released a 90-minute documentary exploring the fascinating parallels between Mosiah's free government, and the United States Constitutional government-"established" by God (D&C 101:80) as a crucial sign of the gathering and restoration of Israel in the last days (3 Nephi 21).

A good friend once told me, "Sometimes you never know what you've got till you've lost it."
This has been made manifest to me many times in my life.
I fear that our country is heading towards learning that lesson the hard way. We would be wise to listen to those that have experienced loss of freedom and rights and lived to tell about it.

I love the parallels we see in The Book of Mormon. Those that read it, will definitely see that we are living in times that are similar to the book of Helaman and 3 Nephi. Scary times, but at the same time, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING to witness. ❤❤

Thank you! This is awesome! I've been thinking about the parallels in our day, biblical times, book of Mormon times and wonder if the parallels in history are like a diamond or a snowflake. They share such similarities because it's made by God a master diamond cutter to optimize the brilliance and light performance.

Darwin also believed in a superior race. Do they believe in that too?
I wonder if the (natives) American Indian had alienable rights to private property ? Or if we just recognize this right when this right is being violated
