I have the TCL c855 which I know is a step up from the 755. I purchased the 85 inch for $2700. That tv is very close to the OLED picture you have shown and is still considerably cheaper than the LG. It is superb for gaming.
There really isn’t many LCD TVs that can get close to OLED. It’s so difficult. I promise if you put the C855 next to an OLED it would look terrible. The 855 is still a great TV, it’s just OLED is next level. Once you have one, there is no going back. You are right, considerably cheaper and that’s a major point. Thanks for coming past my channel my friend :)
@ILT_AU cheers mate. I'm sure they are fantastic but I'm not willing to spend the big bucks on a large screen OLED (I also hate LG due to dealings with them over warranty issues).Would love to see a comparison between the c855 and the LG if you ever able. Thanks for the content.
The step up TCL model the C855 is equipped with ultra wide viewing angle filter. However, they start at 65 inch and 2000 $. Good LCD TVs are quite expensive.
I will admit im not in a position to buy an oled right now. But what really got my attention is the big brands still offer TVs that are QLED at OLED prices. Good thing for me is OLED is pushing down LCD prices to the point a budget shopper doesn't have to settle for 1080p.
If I were to recommend a TV. I always go for the largest size you can (provided you don’t own an OLED). If you own an OLED then you can’t go backwards. Check out my 100” TV video. Love it.
OLED doesn't suffer from viewing angle issues (or it's nearly non-existent) and you guys put Mini-LED at the bottom?! Just skipped the video. I'm not saying the TCL is better, but the comparison started totally off the charts lol.
Brother. we are just having fun here. If you want scientific comparisons, there any many guys who do it really well. “Layman’s terms” means simplified. That what I do.
Amazing & great video! Thank u sooo much! I want to get G4 83” and my friend want c755 75” is the c755 as same as Q7? Or Qm7? do u think it is a better tv than U7N? Thank u!
Thanks guys this is a really useful video. I had the chance in the UK between an LG G4 and the TCL QM8B, the equivalent here of C755. I ordered the C755 and while it was fantastic, TCL still suffers from panel lottery and instead of replacing it, I took the plunge on the G4 and holy crap, the G4 really does blows it away especially for gaming. What I will say is the C755 does get very bright and while the G4 is brighter, it's still great value at that price point.
The TCL 55" C755 is not even a super cheap tv. It is more a midrange model and costs 1200 australian $ at JB Hifi. A 55 inch LG B4 OLED is 2000 australian $ at JB Hifi. And the Samsung 55 inch QD OLED is 2500 australian $. So it is more like DOUBLE the price..
I have seen a c845, it doesn't look like that at all. Blacks seem to be raised too much in this video, and colors seem desaturated. With some tweaking the miniled could compete better. (Aside from starfield style scenes with very small highlights and also way worse response times).
I think it was just from the brighter overall picture in Game Mode on the TCL.....so it looked like it had terrible contrast but could of been the camera getting blown out as well. With some settings changes to perceptually match the G4 it could probably come alot closer.
WOW this was bad! As much as I hate the chinese brands......this was not an ideal setup, this was the worst!.....way you could have compared these 2 on camera. The tcl had massive black raise and colour fade off angle (typical VA panel) so should have only been shown head on, the worst way of showing it would have been to the side and above/below......for maximum worst look possible. Also no real HDR content (movies/series) was shown, only gaming...again could probably be a configuration issue. It should be much closer when setup to match the OLED perceptually. Could you try again maybe if you still have them? Would be interesting to see the real world differences, this is not it.
Those bad viewing angles are a real deal breaker in life.. And most reviewers dont show that.. It is always easy to get angry behind the keyboard. You are welcome do your own review.
@@GenX_in_the_wild They can be....depends on the persons use case. For an average living room it would be a deal breaker for sure. I'm glad they showed that, I just think they could of done way better. Most youtubers are terrible at reviews, I just want higher quality reviews. They don't have to be perfect. It's not possible to show HDR on an SDR video of course but they can at least try not to make one or both look nothing like what they look like in person or that it can't be made better..... I don't think that's too much to ask. I'm thinking about just doing it myself 😃
@@swardmusic without a reference display it's not possible to know if the G4 was crushing or not. But it was clear that the tcl is lifting them to buggery lol. I don't like the term black crushing, as crushing blacks to black makes no sense. It's called crushing shadow detail (...to black).
Great Video mate!!! Love it!
Where is the german in this vid 🙋♂️

Great video my dudes! Would love to see more of these types of videos in the future.

I agree, I like LCD TV's i own a few and i am happy :) Just next to an OLED they struggle.

I cant comment on the QM7 as we do not have it in Australia. Now with the G5 around the corner, Id be looking to snap up a G4 on sale.... killer TV

No need to discuss so much, I will save my money until I can afford an Oled period.

mates , Your are comparing lobster vs fish ... can't compare like this
Just having some fun brother. No reason you can’t.
What a whitewash lol. OLED is king, it's 100 percent worth the money 🤙
Hell yeah!
Stop fkg about People and just buy OLED’s

OLED crushing blacks like a mofo lol. Not surprised
Because of the camera not because its OLED.
@GamingTech-TH-cam shadow detail looked horrendous. Even in close-ups. The cheap LCD had no problems showing them
