No need to discuss so much, I will save my money until I can afford an Oled period.
Made in China made my heart big
I have the TCL c855 which I know is a step up from the 755. I purchased the 85 inch for $2700. That tv is very close to the OLED picture you have shown and is still considerably cheaper than the LG. It is superb for gaming.
There really isn’t many LCD TVs that can get close to OLED. It’s so difficult. I promise if you put the C855 next to an OLED it would look terrible. The 855 is still a great TV, it’s just OLED is next level. Once you have one, there is no going back. You are right, considerably cheaper and that’s a major point. Thanks for coming past my channel my friend :)
@ILT_AU cheers mate. I'm sure they are fantastic but I'm not willing to spend the big bucks on a large screen OLED (I also hate LG due to dealings with them over warranty issues).Would love to see a comparison between the c855 and the LG if you ever able. Thanks for the content.
Thanks guys this is a really useful video. I had the chance in the UK between an LG G4 and the TCL QM8B, the equivalent here of C755. I ordered the C755 and while it was fantastic, TCL still suffers from panel lottery and instead of replacing it, I took the plunge on the G4 and holy crap, the G4 really does blows it away especially for gaming. What I will say is the C755 does get very bright and while the G4 is brighter, it's still great value at that price point.
Great decision. Congratulations 🥂
That is the reason I returned mine
Very cool 4x4 livestream, thank you FOMO for being supportive to this beautiful channel
Thanks for joining us! Fomo was very generous with his time, a good man!
My pleasure Adam
What did you do to solve the hdmi dropping sound issue? I have the A8A, connected to Samsung Q90T 85” via arc and mine will drop sound. I have updated to most recent updates. I may have a setting off. Thanks
I gave away my Samsung TV. Went to LG. Fixed EVERYTHING! Check out my Neo QLED video where I display all the drop outs. Basically once my Samsung TV was sent back for refund and I installed an LG C1 83, zero problems. A year later LG G4 83, zero problems.
@ I think it is my Q90T.. I just turned arc off on my Samsung, will see if that helps. If not, may have to get a new tv.
I can’t say for certain, but from my experience it’s the Samsung TV.
Great video. I have the same tv! Could you share what stand is underneath it and where you bought it? Thanks!
We bought a bunch of budget TVs so you don't have to. 😂
A huge box of very expensive nonsense to hang on your wall and replace it as soon as some better nonsense comes along!
Amen
They don’t have enough power. Using a Yamaha Yamaha RX-V861 and has 500 watts of power. Hooked to 75” 8k TV. Bought one of these Yamahas and not enough power
Hai, is all the bugs has been fix in 2025? 😅
Yes my friend, no problems to report.
Theres a world of difference between Japanese made and the rest. Ive always bought Japanese made TVs . Panasonic, Sharp, Never had a problem with them , Samsung and LG are my last choice. Wiring the HDMI through the walls always requires to be pulled out again if upgrading to the newer versions.
I don’t disagree with you. There is also a world of difference in price. :)
@@ILT_AU I could of got a 75 inch Japan made Sharp 8k TV 18 months ago for just $1700 (down from $4500) AUD brand new it also had a 12 bit panel, kind of kicking meself, , turnoff was the connectivity and the 90s look about it
8k at 75 inches is a waste my friend. I have 100” 4K and I have never felt it should have a higher resolution. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. Falling for the 8K hype :)
Have you done a review on the Hisense 100 inch mini led?
Not yet. If you would like to purchase one for me. I’d love to do it :)
@ haha I want one but going into Tv joints does my head in. If I find one on side of the road I’ll send it over
Cool
Really great to review these budget options as it's most likely what people will be deciding between when on a budget. But you guys didn't spend any time focusing on the colours of the TV and the panel technology. No close ups, no side by side comparisons from ideal viewing angles. Your shots of the 2 other TVs is always from an angle. No description of colour accuracy especially of human skin tones. No mention of colour and vibrancy. Literally only thing you talk about is HDR and frame rate. A lot of people dont buy TVs for gaming, they watch movies and sports. A proper comparison needs more focus on this.
Thanks for the feedback, ill keep that in mind for future videos :)
I will admit im not in a position to buy an oled right now. But what really got my attention is the big brands still offer TVs that are QLED at OLED prices. Good thing for me is OLED is pushing down LCD prices to the point a budget shopper doesn't have to settle for 1080p.
If I were to recommend a TV. I always go for the largest size you can (provided you don’t own an OLED). If you own an OLED then you can’t go backwards. Check out my 100” TV video. Love it.
@ILT_AU thanks for the tip
This is great content. I just starting watching the Australian tenis and remembering how bad my TV is. Its from 2012 so i don't expect too much from it but every time i get to this time of year i think i should check out budget TVs. I dont want to spend too much as i don't watch alot of TV. But thats largly because my tablet has a better picture than my TV. Big difference ive seen this year is the price drop of cheap 4k TVs. Love to see more budget content. I get you're not the biggest channel with unlimited budget. I feel these were bought for gaming. I would also like to see brands that are more common, by that i mean at bigw there is only the1 option out of all bigw products for Telefunken.
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate you stopping by :) I have some reviews on the Hisense and FFalcon TVs you can also check out.
Hi friends i hope you doing great, don't be disappointed by the views number, keep pushing guys, and if i can suggest some ideas to boost your numbers, you can host some big names like FOMO, Brian, B the installer and KG, it will be great to see you all in action
Thanks for the great comment, yeah it is difficult at times spending $$ and time and getting low views, I guess its just the game. Thanks for your support.
@ILT_AU Keep up the good work man, love you guys.
Did the audio pops and drops ever get fixed for you?
Great job on this video. You made comparing these TVs really fun to watch.
Thank you :) :)
Made in china 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Those speakers have the sound terrible your 2.5 ft higher than their design to be swedish should be at air level you will have huge dropouts in the horizontal off access response of those speakers fine a company or reviewer that has done a on and off access review of those speakers and you'll see the graph get them on the floor
I don't have room on the floor unfortunately
Amazing & great video! Thank u sooo much! I want to get G4 83” and my friend want c755 75” is the c755 as same as Q7? Or Qm7? do u think it is a better tv than U7N? Thank u!
I cant comment on the QM7 as we do not have it in Australia. Now with the G5 around the corner, Id be looking to snap up a G4 on sale.... killer TV
Bro I got a 83 inch G3 too. Had to return my first one because of vertical banding. It never got better after over 100 hours. Check out my unboxing video!
Stop fkg about People and just buy OLED’s
Heap of crap tv
why do you say this?
thanks for stopping by.
Excellent topic, excellent ILT, excellent Markus, excellent guest, excellent G4 Keep up the good work, i like your approach for the TV comparisons
Thank you :)
I have seen a c845, it doesn't look like that at all. Blacks seem to be raised too much in this video, and colors seem desaturated. With some tweaking the miniled could compete better. (Aside from starfield style scenes with very small highlights and also way worse response times).
I think it was just from the brighter overall picture in Game Mode on the TCL.....so it looked like it had terrible contrast but could of been the camera getting blown out as well. With some settings changes to perceptually match the G4 it could probably come alot closer.
The professionalism and commentary is top tier Great video my dudes! Would love to see more of these types of videos in the future.
Thank you, that's a very kind compliment
The step up TCL model the C855 is equipped with ultra wide viewing angle filter. However, they start at 65 inch and 2000 $. Good LCD TVs are quite expensive.
I agree, I like LCD TV's i own a few and i am happy :) Just next to an OLED they struggle.
The TCL 55" C755 is not even a super cheap tv. It is more a midrange model and costs 1200 australian $ at JB Hifi. A 55 inch LG B4 OLED is 2000 australian $ at JB Hifi. And the Samsung 55 inch QD OLED is 2500 australian $. So it is more like DOUBLE the price..
No wheel(s) no deals Haha
Thats a good one LOL
WOW this was bad! As much as I hate the chinese brands......this was not an ideal setup, this was the worst!.....way you could have compared these 2 on camera. The tcl had massive black raise and colour fade off angle (typical VA panel) so should have only been shown head on, the worst way of showing it would have been to the side and above/below......for maximum worst look possible. Also no real HDR content (movies/series) was shown, only gaming...again could probably be a configuration issue. It should be much closer when setup to match the OLED perceptually. Could you try again maybe if you still have them? Would be interesting to see the real world differences, this is not it.
Those bad viewing angles are a real deal breaker in life.. And most reviewers dont show that.. It is always easy to get angry behind the keyboard. You are welcome do your own review.
@@GenX_in_the_wild They can be....depends on the persons use case. For an average living room it would be a deal breaker for sure. I'm glad they showed that, I just think they could of done way better. Most youtubers are terrible at reviews, I just want higher quality reviews. They don't have to be perfect. It's not possible to show HDR on an SDR video of course but they can at least try not to make one or both look nothing like what they look like in person or that it can't be made better..... I don't think that's too much to ask. I'm thinking about just doing it myself 😃
@@barryjones2366 Great. When is your first video coming out?
@@GenX_in_the_wild"Thinking about it" 😄 How do you even get the TVs others do? I guess you just email or call the company and ask for a review sample?
@@barryjones2366 It will never happen
Great Video mate!!! Love it!
Where is the german in this vid 🙋♂️
OLED crushing blacks like a mofo lol. Not surprised
Because of the camera not because its OLED.
@GamingTech-TH-cam shadow detail looked horrendous. Even in close-ups. The cheap LCD had no problems showing them
@@swardmusic again...on camera. You can clearly see the LCD has a bad contrast compared to the OLED.
@@swardmusic without a reference display it's not possible to know if the G4 was crushing or not. But it was clear that the tcl is lifting them to buggery lol. I don't like the term black crushing, as crushing blacks to black makes no sense. It's called crushing shadow detail (...to black).
@@barryjones2366 agreed on crushing shadow detail 👍🏼
New upload! We are back ladies and gents!
Heyyyy! Welcome back Ivan!!!
What a whitewash lol. OLED is king, it's 100 percent worth the money 🤙
Hell yeah!
Lovely video 😁
Thank you :) More coming soon
I Got One Coming On Friday 12/13/2024 This TV Looks Pretty Cool
Is 2.3m distance too close for watching 100 inch TV?
Yes
Yes id say so, im around 4-5m. Its perfect, however, everyone is different.
Whenever I listen to these videos I think man id love to be in this conversation. What gets me about the OLED vs LCD conversation is that LCD used to be better in my opinion. Yes mini led and local dimming has come along way in helping black levels and contrast, but if you go back to 2016 when the ks8000 Samsung released that thing was amazing for gaming. Between 2015 and 2019 Samsung QLEDS/ SUHD TVs where insanely good. They had a premium build quality and the picture was outstanding. Q7F from 2017 would smoke a Q90D in some ways today. That's why Samsung is a garbage company, the QC isn't good and they watered down there LCD TVs. If you guys remember the legendary Q9FN that thing was a beast and arguably one of the best LCDs ever made. I've spoke alot about Samsung here but that's because they pushed the boundaries on what a LCD could do and then pushed them aside for OLED and rightly so, but if your going to do that you should at least perfect the tech first. OLED will always be king, and as you said once you go OLED you never go back, but I remember not to long ago when LCDs where so good and even without local dimming and being edgelit they still had loads of colour and clarity in gamemode
Gday guys, i honestly miss my lg c1 and wish i kept it. Sure the new oleds are brighter but when it comes to games the abl kicks in on certain titles and reduces brightness anyway. I wont be upgrading for 2 years now. Heres hoping lg can surprise us with the g5 🤙
I have two 83” C1s. Love them both. Use them all the time. The one is my guest house is so good. I always hide there when I need my own space. I don’t have super high hopes for G5. G4 was so good. I don’t know how much more than can squeeze out of WOLED. either way I love the new TV time of year.
No drop bears got harmed during this live stream..
👍
I was going to pull the pin on a 77" LG G4 but ultimately decided against it. That model didn't get a significant price drop over Black Friday sales and 2025 sounds promising with 165hz panels and a new Sony QD-Oled on the card's
Do you use PC gaming on it?
@ILT_AU I currently have an rtx 4090 PC build connected to a 55" Samsung S90C in the bedroom.. Looking forward to connecting it to a bigger living room TV
@mrwalker6026 then that makes sense. If you didn’t use a PC I’d strongly recommend the G4 just before the G5 comes out. Get a good deal. Either way, you will be very happy :)
I will second everything you stated in your video. Unfortunately my story is worse. My TV the 85" NEO QLED 8k was on sale from 8k down to 5800 30 months ago. Has been on the wall above our heads and last week we were watching when the center of the screen went black with 2 18" white strips down each side. Have spent hours on the phone and text with Samsung. Always being told my 1 year warranty is up! Really 1 year on this expensive TV, can't get a supervisor to call me back or get a service call scheduled to find out the cost to fix. I have 12 Samsung TVs installed in my house. Never again, about to buy my 1st Sony
That sucks, im sorry to hear that. Believe me, I understand how you feel, what a horrible experience. Im very disappointed with Samsung, I feel if they didnt have QD-OLED they would have lost a lot of customers. I would suggest going with LG if your not hung up on QD-OLED, it appears Sony is pushing more into LCD territory, their focus does not appear to be on OLED any longer..... I find Sony's are way overpriced IMHO but they do offer solid quality. I have moved over to LG and been so happy, all my HDMI-CEC issues are no longer. All the problems and faults i was experiencing have now magically disappeared since removing the Samsung. I also have some "The Frame" TV which are an absolute nightmare. I hope LG can come up with their own QD-OLED or something better. Much better support, at least from my experience. In Australia at least we have a government body that will get involved if a brand wont come to the table. Keep me posted on how you go. Good luck friend.
You cant download disney+ on it!?
You can now
At the dawn of LG's venture into consumer electronics, it launched as "Goldstar". After some initial success selling complete tat, the South Korean Lucky family who owned the Goldstar marque wanted to change its brand name to, well, "Lucky"! They were persuaded to not do that because of semantics in Western markets. They did consider "Lucky Goldstar" as an alternative but eventually settled on what we know today, the abbreviated version of that - "LG".
