So my Xbox series x is better for atmos than apple tv?

Have all the problems been ironed out now? Looking to get this to excel in movies/gaming/music

All true. I had Infuse on AppleTV and liked it...but no passthrough for TrueHD/Atmos. Finally an X box Series S running Kodi did the trick!👍

While you don't need a high end tv to get the benefits a ps5 pro has to get the full 120hz has is what buyers need to be buying first.

A word to the wise is sufficient. A ps5 cannot play AAA/AA games at 4k. They cannot even do 1440p/60 in most cases. Upgrade your gaming box. Imagine a beautiful oled display only to run games upscaled from 720p to 4k and the framerate is not even consistent. It looks like poop and plays like poop.

I think it would suffice, but what are your thoughts on a 75” Samsung QN90B? It’s a really bright QLED. I just asked chat gbt it said it’s a good tv for the ps5 pro lol

If you don't have a PS5 and still need something to watch 4k movies or Netflix, then a PS5 would be a good investment. However, if you already have one, then don't get the Pro - it's unnecessary, expensive and there aren't enough games for it anyway.

if you already have a high end pc then you might not need/want a PS5 Pro. It's a different matter if you only have a PS5 or a PS4 Pro.

Yes, Plex and Infuse will be limited by the Apple TV. As a commenter above has said, you will get better audio support by using Infuse, which you can connect to via Plex. To do what you want though, play 4K rips, you need a Zidoo, DuneHD or one of those fancy 10K ones from the US, can't remember whet they're called. I don't think Apple TVs will ever support what you, are a lot of us, want re passing through audio.

macOS sequoia added pass through support for Atmos so who knows maybe AppleTV+ will get an update as well

Another thing you don’t get from your 4K rips is Dolby Vision (DV) because discs use DV Profile 7 whilst the Apple TV only supports Profile 5 & 8, where Profile 8 is only handled correctly by Infuse at this point. Currently all your 4K rips with DV fall back to HDR10 which isn’t terrible but imo just as bad as losing the Atmos metadata. You can convert the Profile 7 rips relatively easy to Profile 8 with a script available in the Infuse community forum.

You saved me! As I was about to press that buy button. I have had other bad experiences with Samsung, washing machines, driers, ovens and microwaves, to the point I have had to replace over and over. The last straw was the washing machine, it's like I was replacing things every 5 years with them and not other brands. I have not had issues with the phones and TV's, so I was about to buy this same one (even though hubby is against anything Samsung). But from my track record I decided to look this TV up....I am not going to do it. Thank you for this review. Oh and yes, they have horrible customer service, which I had to learn to navigate. I give them a one time tech try out and then request a replacement or refund immediately. Thank you for this review. Going to have research Sony as I don't like LG....lol

CRAZY...Same DAM TV I HAVE MATE, and I am Mad Bonkers......THIS ONE, Samsung QN900A 65 TV Model No QN65QN900CFXZA...and Now, Having Horizontal Lines in Viewing Area...and Today, NO Wi-Fi Capabilities, being dashed ...Magically...?? Same attempts at Samsung Care is abysmal. They have the audacity to Charge, Pre-Visit...a $180 for Samsung Care Service to Diagnosis....this is Up-Front via a Mobile Text..?? Very SHADY, then this is not applied to the Potential Fix for these Dam Lines, this on a TV used for max 2-3 hours every few days. AND then seeing Quotes Online for this Potential Screen Replacement for $1500+ to replace this screen. This is Bad Tech Samsung Dumped on the Market and Needs Addressing. As they will not honor or step up to Addresss this Seemingly Un-Tested Tech that many have suffered poor quality on these Outrageously Priced 8K OLED Garbage TV's...!! VERY P.O...! Obviously...!! I Have No Molars Left from ANGRY GRINDING>..!!

I have a similar story. Not so expensive but bought in sale. 65 neo qled q 800 8k. Bought new in 2021. Could not connect to a fetch box or Yamaha amp consistently. Constant drop outs then pixelation at the bottom. Had it replaced after a fight with Samsung and the retailer. Samsung said tech needed to come and take tv for two weeks, it was only 4 weeks old. Finally they agreed to replace. Retailer said they had no stock, then found one, and it was replaced. 18 months later the bottom part of the screen had a bar across it and the whole screen was ghosting and flickering. Once again a fight with Samsung, waiting for tech, waiting for parts and finally getting panel replaced. Yes it’s out of manufacturer warranty but covered by consumer warranty and also retailer product care. Phoned Samsung yesterday , have photos of the same issue last year. They contacted repairer and another panel is coming, I hate this tv, I spent hours and hours like you replacing HDMI cables etc etc. I currently requesting a replacement rather than another repair that did not work and not sure how I will go. I like you have no idea what to get as a replacement, we have a lot of light and Samsung was anti glare. Three failures in 3 years…..

Really like the TCL & Ffalcon screens, the LED & Mini LED/qled are decent for the price considering the alternative LG OLED is out of many people's price range. However I don't like how Ffalcon have a slightly upgraded Android TV and call it a Google TV. I have the TCL C735 QLED 4K 144, my parents just got their Ffalcon U63 65" LED 4K TV and I cannot update to google TV OS V12, stuck on google 11 something and says it's got the latest update. game mode just changes the colour temp nothing else, I know it's only 60hz but still, also no way of knowing if it actually works at 4K 60 as I only have an original PS4 hooked up atm.
