  • A 5 hour drive from Denver, Colorado/Albuquerque, NM, San Juan Mountains are nestled between 4 beautiful towns of Telluride, Ouray (called Switzerland of America), Silverton and Durango. Apart from the beautiful views of the mountains, alpine lakes, waterfalls there are a lot of activities open year round (camping, hiking, backpacking, skiing, mountaineering, mountain biking, etc) as well. Hotels can be a little expensive around these mountain towns but there are a lot of campgrounds, even some free campgrounds(my favorite is Lizard Head Pass). You can also enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains riding the free Gondola in Telluride, CO. Another must do attraction is the drive on Million Dollar Highway (Hwy 550) from Ouray to Silverton which is open only during summers but be cautious. There are also a lot of off-roading here and I would recommend to rent a 4WD car to enjoy the off-roading experience.
    This is one place where you can spend as much money you want if you want and also you can survive in as little as possible, camping and cooking your own food. This is my favorite place in Colorado.

    Exemplary work Sunny, beautiful camera work and drone shots. Coming from Colorado, I can say that you have shown the best of San Juan Ranges in the video.

    This is great footage, but you missed much of the San Juan’s. Creede, lake city, pagosa springs, rio grande and San Juan head waters, wolf creek pass, wilderness areas.
    Worst storm ever camping was on top of lizard head pass, although sunrise the next morning was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen
    Next time!

    Watched this again--beautiful photography. I use Davinci Resolve 17 for editing--what do you use? I hope one day to be able to capture scenery like you do.

      @@SunnyBinjola It's my last day here and it was not what I expected. Covid is very serious here compared to Florida so it was hard finding rides and things to do. But the views from hiking were well worth it

    Wow this is so amazing! Thank you for sharing! What month did you go in? How many days would a family with kids need to explore San Juan?

    • @SunnyBinjola
      @SunnyBinjola  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. I was there in August and September. I stayed for 5 weeks. It depends on you, how much you want to explore and what kind of activities your family would like but I would say at least a week. There's so much to see. Enjoy your trip.

      Not really. Maybe if you want to buy a big house over there but you can get by pretty cheap to travel around the area. I camp a lot so it's pretty cheap. Depends on how luxurious you want to be
