Austin Aries was my favorite wrestler in his second TNA run back around 2011-2013, I think. I remember him getting super popular in the X-Division and then becoming world champion. He had a great match with Jeff Hardy in Jeff's big comeback match after the Sting incident. He and Bobby Roode were also one of the, if not the best, tag team in wrestling at that time. That being said, I can imagine him being a self-centered, whiny type of guy.
He did an interview with CVV and explained his side of things. And the way he explained various things made it clear that he is very self-centered. Basically a lot of things he said made some sense and you could see his side of it in a sense for looking out for yourself since nobody else is going to obviously. Sticking up for yourself to a point is understandable especially in a business like wrestling that’s so cutthroat and full of paranoia. But pretty much every single thing he explained his reasoning for pushing for was always focused entirely on how it benefitted himself or why he didn’t like something because it would be bad for himself. But for some people they don’t seem able to do that even if it’s extremely detrimental to the opportunities they would have available to themselves by changing their attitude and behaviors. In a way it’s almost sad when you see a person with a lot of talent destroy things but in the end it’s their own fault when they continue to do those things. After hearing an interview he did it’s obvious he doesn’t hold himself accountable for his role in things that consistently occur with him.
While I am a fan of Kenny Omega (sorry cult, I can only blame 18 years of only watching McMahon Sports Entertainment) I agree 1000% with the comments on Aries and I absolutely love hearing this shit. Make this a weekly segment!

At the pre ppv show Aries cuts a promo about JohhnyImpact and his wife to where it got personal . The match between them was a straight up shoot to where neither man was giving an inch . Finally Impacy (Johnny) hits his finisher and wins while Aries jumps up and yells at the top level which apparent was Head office and walks out . Last i saw he was in MLW and collecting tites from various indy promotions . EHH . The guys a good wrestler but the guy couldn't cut it in WWE where he could barely get a Cruiserweight Title shot while he was there . He's problably back in the indies making whatever money he can make off of name recognition alone cause after burning so many bridges that's all he can get . Then again his problem .
