I have made this blanket many times over the years, thanks to your wonderful tutorial! Thank you! I have made them for many baby showers! Your instructions are simple to follow.
This was the first time I've seen your tutorial. You were wonderful! The tone of your voice reminded me of the sweet sweet lady who taught me how-to crochet when I was 7-years old. God bless you and yours. THANK YOU!
My grandmother taught me how to crochet when we were kids, and used to spend vacation with them, and now that I’ve been spending so much time at home due to the current health concerns around the globe, I’ve been trying to remember how to work this craft. I just found your video, and I love it, and love the way you are very detailed in your tutorial. I'm going to try this pattern! =)
I had never crocheted before. You are the best to follow and listen to. Your instructions are so easy to understand. My new hobby I learnt in lockdown in New Zealand. Thank you for being so inspirational.
This is one of my favorite stitches for blankets. It works for any yarn weight. I love doing it with 3 weight yarn for spring and summer blankets. You inspire me to use a much bigger variety of stitches, but this is my favorite for t.v. tine or road trips. Love your channel!!
Can’t remember when was the last time I crochet , I started two days ago , is looking beautiful , my baby granddaughter will love it . Thank you so much Love you cats , I have one too 🙏🏽
I crochet very slow and haven't done a project in years. I found this tutorial while looking to make a gift and I am so grateful. Easy to follow along and beautiful results. Its so nice to see it coming together. Thank you!
I just finished making this blanket and I love it! It’s such a pretty, simple texture. I left the edges raw but I think it looks great all the same. Thank you!
Putri Nabilah 29 it depends on the weight of yarn you use, really. For a baby blanket using a worsted/Aran yarn I would say about 1000-1200 yards. I used a sport weight and used about 1600 but it was quite a fine yarn. I’ve also used this pattern in a number 5 bulky yarn using about 1600 yards and made a throw blanket for my couch. But for your purposes I would say about 1000-1200!
ABSOLUTELY beautiful and EASY! When I first saw the blanket I thought there's NO WAY I can do this, until this lady took me thru it! It's so EASY, you just gotta try it!
Thank You Sirin! This is my first blanket to make (I’ve only been crocheting about 4 weeks). You have created the easiest blanket ever but still beautiful!
I did this in Lavendar. It went fast. Very luxurious looking. Thank you very, very much. Now I am going to make one in Neutrals. Can't wait. About 31 inches. So very sweet of you.
@@SirinsCrochet i had a orange and white tom cat when i was younger. He had one blue and one green eye. We lived in an apartment. When joey started to purr, our neighbor knocked on the wall and told us to keep it down. Joey's purr was that loud.
Subscribed ! I have finally gotten my tension down to where my crocheting doesnt look like complete rubbish . I love the different stitches you show so I will be trying them out soon.
Thank you so much for showing me how to make this pattern. I created the most gorgeous blanket for my granddaughter and it was absolutely perfect and so simple to make!
I'm new to your Channel but I Love it . I couldn't crochet for a long time because of Carpal tunnel in both hands. It took me 7 months to make a blanket 4 years ago . I had surgery and now I'm looking for easy patterns to start again because I have two great-grandchildren on the way . This is not only easy it is beautiful . Thank you so much your directions are clear and easy to follow . I love the cats trying for attention . My cat wants to play with the yarn. I am a happy subscriber .
I learned this pattern decades ago. I completely agree with you that it is easy, and has a lovely texture. I like the shells you placed on the edge. Pretty!
Thank you for this video,I have added this to my to do list, I make blankets for cat rescues and this stitch would be perfect as no holes for little paws to trap.. I also have 2 furry helpers. Your cats are gorgeous.

Just wanted to add again even though I am not a cat lover, your video is so relaxing to listen to and so easy to follow thank you for that. I will definitely be making this blanket. I have been crocheting for many years , easy patterns though. LOL
I am making this one right now and it is so beautiful! Thank you for the tutorial Sirin! The only suggestion I have for you is when you tell us which hook and the length etc. could you please also include the US numbers of the hooks and the inches etc. because in the US we don't use European milometers, centimeters, etc. That would be very helpful. I want to thank you for your gorgeous designs and wonderful tutorials! You do a great job!
Hi Nancy. Glad you like it. I was using inches when I gave the measurement. I always give it with inches. For the hook sizes, I will look for the American sizes. ❤❤
another great tutorial, thanks. I do enjoy listening to your gentle manner and lovely accent and of course nice to see your furry friends :-) I wish mine were so well behaved!

Hi Sirin, I struggle with crochet and knit, but I keep trying. I seem to get confused on which row I’m on when doing the crochet blankets, especially when I make a mistake and take out stitches. I had to rip out another blanket and now I’m trying this one. I’m writing down a row number as well as writing time stamps for each new row you do😜 Thanks for all your tutorials!
My cat is is bossy. If I am crocheting, he will meow at me until I stop and pay attention. Sometimes he will knock things out of my hands even. 😂 This is my favorite stitch pattern.
