RotoFab has seen a gain of 26rwhp with just this kit install with no tune. Power gains can vary with different climate conditions but you will see somewhere around that number.
@@PhastekPerformance Thank you. One more question. What are the performance gains between this and the "Big Gulp" series. Im trying to decide if the extra $50 is worth it. 2017 ZL1 6MT
@@MeansDaddy well the Big Gulp is a little different since it would need tuning cause of the larger 5" diameter. So its not only a $50 price difference when you factor in the tuning. The standard kit does not require a tune.
Thank you for this instructional video. I'm a better visual learner than reader. Just installed my roto-fab cai on my 2023 zl1 1le in 20minutes using this video. Have to set some of my settings from disconnecting the negative post but it was all worth it when I fired it up! Thank you!
Got mine today. I found it easier to build up the whole cai and attach to the TB and then push in the three pins from the air box into the frame. The instructions from Rotofab are crap...glad you guys did a video.
Why does this dry filter have some kind of mesh around it? Mine does not... ? Lol. Also, maybe the wrong place to ask.. But, if we are running a 3 port catch can, such as an Elite Engineering E2-X, port 3 of the can runs back to the intake elbow typically (seems they often tap into the stock rubber elbow). With the rotofab I don't really want to drill a hole into the elbow, would it be fine to maybe T off that vac line that runs to the Rotofab elbow tube?
@Will Green Perfect! You found the update on the filter. We liked the "cage" around the filter as well but we understand Roto-Fabs reasoning for going a different direction. This video was filmed using one of their older systems that still had the "cage" around the filter. To your question about the catch can, I would suggest getting with Elite about that. They have done extensive testing with their set ups and would be the best place to answer that question. There could be a restriction with using the vacuum line if the size is smaller then the Elite set up.
Is it true that disconnecting the mass air flow sensor causes a check engine light? Or does disconnecting the negative battery cable cancel that issue out?
Out of all the intakes that we have done, non of them have caused a check engine light when we just unplug the harness. Now that is not saying that it is not possible because manufacturers have run into the issue where that has happened. Disconnecting the battery will clear that issue if it does come up.
I have a 2019 ZL1-1LE and have two small torx bolts left over not sure if it was for the hood because they're small... but I'm guessing this is for the ZL1 and not the 1le version.
@@killawhipz Unless RotoFab changed up their kit, they should have come with the extra bolts. If you purchased the kit from us, reach out to our support team so they can get with RotoFab about this. support@phastek.com
Considering buying this for the holidays. How much hp/tq is gained with bolt on without a tune.

How much more power would this add at the crank?

That last bolt, wasn’t it the next one down that needed to be replaced?
Can we reuse the factory elbow? It looks better
The RotoFab elbow would need to be used with the kit.
Is there anyway to remove the "provision" piece as you refered to it, (breather tube portion), without destroying it?
Do you need to disconnect the negative battery post before the install or is that not necessary?
The different intakes we have done have not been necessary.
What do you recommend the dry filter or oiled. Great video
It really comes down to preference. Personally the Dry filter would be our go to, simply cause of the looks.
Anything with the same output fir us folks in CA?
Unfortunately not. I wish there was something that we could get shipped out to CA but the laws make it tough.

Edit: Found this post on Roto-Fab website regarding the dry filter design change www.roto-fab.com/dry-filter-update :D

Is it Cali legal?
Unfortunately this intake is not CARB legal.
Lol who gives to shits about Cali and there bullshit!!

@@PhastekPerformance ,
Nice install. How much horsepower from Roto Fab intake ?
Does this exhaust work for the 2019 2020 Camaro zl1
This video was for an intake. Which exhaust are you looking at?

what's the difference of the dry filter and oiled filter? Considering buying one for my ZLE.
Nothing hp wise. Just the cleaning of them.
Missed many steps and didn’t give too much detail on certain parts of assembly. Never reconnected MAF. overall decent video
At 6:41 he reconnected the MAF.
Thanks

They will be for both models. The car used in the video is a ZL1/1LE model.
I have the exact same car and color... But the kit didn't come with hood bolts that had to be removed.
