- Welcome to the crazy world of CEX! My continuing mission to visit every CEX store, in the world! From the weird to the wonderful, the big to the small I plan to visit them all. So join me for an epic adventure to visit them all all while building my dream game collection along the way!
This time we’ll be going to three different CEX stores from all over the U.K. out of the hundreds of stores, and even though they’re all part of a chain, they’re all so different, whilst finishing the episode as usual in my local CEX store of Norwich.
This time we’re off to the mostly easterly settlement in the U.K. and a TINY store in Lowestoft, the university town of Cambridge and finally the forest surrounded town of Thetford.
This time we find some amazingly minty cheap boxed SNES goodness, a lose SNES games I’ve never seen before, some even mintier Sega Master System games and tons more amazing stuff along the way including retro bargains and modern PS4 rarities!

Do you also enjoy seeing these sorts of videos to see how other stores operate? Like Lowestoft not putting trade and save stickers on things like switch games? In Brighton we have to put them on everything that isn't a dvd movie/series
@@gastly202gaming4 yeah it’s one of the most interesting parts how they differ. Like how some stores put PS1 games on the shelves whilst most are in glass cabinets
The Cex in Bray, Ireland is absolutely TINY, probably half the size of the first one you checked out
Could be a good contender for the smallest CEX in the world then!

Basildon is my local, it has recently downsized by moving into the shopping centre. One thing I like about it is they put green stickers on retro games complete with manuals and red ones on boxed without manuals so you don't have to ask the staff!
That’s a really good move as it’s one of the most annoying things about CEX is never knowing if a game is complete!

Aldershot is pretty small and they still have that Turtles game you mentioned. I mean to go check if it’s got a manual some time this week.

@@DanTheGamesMan Northern Irish lad here, haven't been to Newtownabbey I don't think but Belfast Ann Street is quite decently sized
There's also one in the Ards shopping centre in Newtownards and one in Lisburn which is actually quite big too

@@DanTheGamesMan The one in Craigavon and Newtownabbey have Doom 3 on the XBOX, and Lisburn has Cannon Fodder, Doom and Street Fighter 2 Turbo on SNES, which I see as a win in my opinion.

Hello mate, just stumbled onto your channel and enjoying the vids :) I Think my home town cex in east kilbride is smaller than that one. Most of the cex in Scotland seem quite small. You could probably do like 10 cex a day in Scotland. £ in Glasgow and alot are within 30 min drive of there . Keep up the good work

@@DanTheGamesMan Dundee , perth , Aberdeen and Inverness are the difficult ones . Pretty much the rest of them are within an hour drive of Glasgow :)

Hi Dan if you come over to Northern Ireland the must visit are the CEX'S in Bangor, Belfast, Newtownabbey, Newtownards & Llisburn.

Awesome series, your channel is so densely focused this year Dan, loving what you are doing. My local CEXs are Camberley, Farnborough and Bracknell and they are all very small by your standards! EDIT: On that note I acquired a mint copy of Suikdoden 2 in Bracknell so it ain't all bad!
Thanks I wanted to focus my collecting and adventures for this year and hopefully it will pay off and help the collection grow!

I went to my local CEX around 2 months ago to pickup Rogue Squadron on N64 unboxed for £8 when I got there they couldn't find it in stock then the manager says I remember this we cannot find it because its boxed but we have to sell as unboxed as has a sticker on it (The original Woolworth £19.99 price label) so I scored a boxed copy with mint manual and I would say close to very good box for £8 made my weekend and beyond
Wow that’s awesome! I’ve only ever had that once and it was a copy of Quake for the N64 and I still have no idea why it was sold as unboxed!
I’m the case of the Woolworths sticker the sticker definitely makes it sicker!
i recommend going oldham not many collectors in the town as its small but still amazing with pristine condition consoles, games and pc parts and they got a decent amount of psp games :)

The smallest CEX I’ve ever seen would be my local one! Burgess hill West Sussex, great store but very small.

Nice pick ups mate, the Colchester store is tiny, even smaller than Lowestoft. Braintree cex is also very small but could also be the smallest 2 level cex around.
Ok I think I may have to come and check these two out soon and try and find the smallest early on!
yeah lowerstoft is small but has alot off rares games lol,this will be a fun journey my friend.some places have about 4 cexs lol.lets do this lol

@@DanTheGamesMan it’s small, you have a rack with Xbox and DS games and there’s a outcove with dvds and blue ray dvds, there’s obviously a window display and there is xbox one and x/s games, ps4/5 games and switch games on the wall right next to the door
Wait till you get to the cex in liverpool Central train station. There's 3 in liverpool, 2 in the city and one in a town called bootle(my local), not far from city centre

I ended going to Kettering CEX with my family not Northampton town but I can now day Kettering CEX is not great

The Truro CEX branch in Cornwall is tiny.....I'd probably bet it's the smallest in the UK....but it does get some quality games in.

@@DanTheGamesMan yeah I'm biased of course but you cannot beat Cornwall! We have 3 CEX stores here but there's a couple more apparently opening this year all going well.
Northampton town centre one is absolutely tiny less than half the size of that lowestoft one. Does have an upstairs though but that's dvds

You should visit the Ayr CEX it's a tiny CEX but packs some of the best stuff

Dan to make you feel worse about silent hill on the psp I brought it a few weeks ago from CEX it was £15...I knew it was due for a bump up in price soon!

Damn! Ys VIII for £100?! I didn't even know the game existed on Vita, i have it on PS4 and PS5, £100 as you say is a big ask for a reprint.
I know crazy price for a reprint there’s so many obscure games like this on the vita that command a high price!

@@DanTheGamesMan Nottinghamshire has a 40 mile radius from south Notts to North Notts but easily visitable in a day . I do a lot of trading with CEX buying and flipping stuff . Gives a shout if you want to visit.

How do you check what shop has games
I use the website and check stock for the specific store
Bristol has 4 CEX, but I think they are all pretty small compared to some of the places you've been.
I’m beginning to underestimate how small a CEX can be…
@Dan The Games Man I think you may go to Bristol and be disappointed. Everything I really want, I end up ordering online.
City centre one is a decent size, Bedminster is my local one. Kingswood tends to have the best stuff when looking online.

Just to let you know Dan, there’s cex stores all over Europe so to say your guna visit every cex in the world is probably to unrealistic. Maybe next bud just say every cex in the uk lol good luck fella

If you end up at Ashton under lyne avoid there cex full of stolen phones and fake games
