Oh man that Titan tron live brought back some memories! I was so excited when I bought mine from an Aladdin’s cave of a toy shop in Dereham, I remember the owner asked who my favourite wrestler was - which of course was the undertaker, he then went away and came back with the undertaker figurine and gave it to me for free! Also, did not know that norfolk had that many independent game stores, I’m going to be building up a ps2 collection and will give them a visit! Really enjoying the content.
@@wickedduffer72 thank you! Yeah I’m really lucky that Norfolk has loads of independent game store! What ana amazing memory and it’s an incredible toy isn’t it, and for that’s the best thing about retro toy collecting, the memories!
Fantastic! A thoroughly worthwhile diversion from the usual gaming goodness. I'm also a massive fan of the original TMNT cartoon. (My favourite turtle is Leonardo, favorite all-time character is Krang.) WWF/E from 1992-2008 is also a big interest- i’d relish the thought of having an original Hasbro Bret Hart figure boxed and complete. (Pink or silver sunglasses) Bret Hart being my favorite whilst being completely engrossed in the New Generation era.
Thank you glad you enjoyed it! Some good TMNT choices right there! It’s funny how many people kinda dropped off wrestling around the 2008 time, it just wasn’t a very good time for the WWE sadly. That’s a tough figure to find but I hope you manage to find one!
That neca tmnt double pack is one of the top ones on my wishlist. I didnt go to this toyfair but hope to see you at the next one. Are you going to the next gaming market in Norwich in October?
I hope you manage to find it like I did, I’m sure you know better than anyone how hard it is to find! Yeah I’m hoping to go to both so maybe you there!
There are a lot of figures. I believe Vasquez and Hudson are the most expensive on card, as they are both such well-loved characters. I believe recently Vasquez sold on eBay for just over 200 and Hudson for around 100. So they are ones they will never really drop in value. My holy grail would have been Tmnt Universal Monsters 93' Invisible Man Mikey, but you're talking a 500-600 plus figure on card. I did have Frankenstein Mikey(who has glow painted bolts, stitches, etc) until earlier this year. Universal monsters line was coolest. Yes, Neca have re released them but aren't as cool as the original playmates line.
@@jameshaslegrave7989 yeah there’s some crazy figures out there and I guess it just depends how much your willing to spend. Also with a lot of these figures it’s finding them in the first place. The NECA re releases are good substitutes for the originals but will never replace them
Yeah, very true but it's the same with games as well. Depends on what your willing to spend, but to me if you truly want something then you pay up within reason to get something. In the last month or so, I've picked up games for the Snes and mega drive as I see them and think will I see them again? For the Snes Aliens vs Predator, Robocop vs Terminator, Oscar, Demolition Man, Donald Duck in Maui Mallard, Pirates of Dark Water and Actraiser 2 and For the mega drive: True Lies boxed with manual and the punisher. Now the punisher cartridge is expensive alone as the boxed version jumps to 420 on cex without manual. But on eBay very good copies with manual have sold for 800 to 1k in the last two months. I see these things on eBay but sometimes your not sure how legit they are unless you ve bought from the person before. Like there's a guy who has a lot of rare Snes games and I've bought from him 4 or times so I know he's legit. But like the punisher game you see a rare game like that going for cheap and you know it's got to be a repro copy by the stickering, etc, with out it being mentioned. So when I saw Punisher in a Cex I was visiting, I knew I had to get it as id been on the look out for months for it.
@@jameshaslegrave7989 this is another factor to consider, if and when you will ever see things again, and I know much like the SNES games you mentioned there was a lot of Neca fakes. I agree with you, when it comes down to the true value of an item, it basically comes down to how much YOU are willing to pay and for the price I was very happy with my pick ups!
I got my holy grail toy about 2 years ago. The neca gremlins 2 spider gremlin. I'm not a big toy collector, but my current #1 is the michelangelo universal monster mummy by neca. I got the leonardo Hunchback at the carboot a couple weeks ago for £20. But mic is my favourite from that line.
Hey Dan, just to let you know the Aliens figures weren't based on the film, it was an animated, short-lived series, which I'm not sure came out in the UK. Last year, I bought but have sold them since, 4 of the carded figures Ripley, Bishop, O'Malley and the Bull Alien which came with a comic, for about 60 quid.
Wow thanks I never knew that, but now I’ll have to try and find a way to watch it! I have one carded figure, Bishop I think, but would love to add more to my loose figure collection
