Yeah, I would suggest that choosing to go early to -2 hurt you. The way you want to play Kaido is rush them to 2 life before 10C Kaido. You shouldn’t worry to much about your board if you have 1 searcher available at all times. Law is capable of going back to 5 very easily. Some turns I would replayed for more attacks pressuring Kaido player to either take the life or drop their hand size with little advantage for them to get it back
Going to two is risky business with Kiado.
Attach 7 to leader Kiado, swing, -7 Kiado, then attach 3 to king/Kiado character for KO.
