2nd place Dawn/Dusk Toolbox here! I have a video on my channel going over decisions and stuff, but I just want to say here... Why is it called Mirage (Galaxy) 😭? There's 4 mirage cards from outside of the archetype, 8 at a stretch (counting the night claw gaoga), and there's 0 Galaxy cards (Gracenova is the only Galaxy card in the game and it's not present). I know the deck is weird and doesn't conform to usual naming conventions, but Dawn/Dusk Toolbox or Light Fang/Night Claw Toolbox would describe it much better than a single one of the toolbox boss monsters.

16th place imperial here, just a few comments on choice. First fluffy was just a fun choice. Works well. Blue red digi over fluffy for 1 never was in issue. Wormmon replays a green digi from trash so in truth 6 green lv 4s. Dinobee is good. Since it buffs top end and if you have the primo option. Go into magna x unsuspend with basically +6k and trample. Makes it big for mothers. Shuu was for mother but never came up.

To add, it seems a lot of people played imperial over several rounds. So, it definitely saw a lot of play in the tournament.

And yokomon will not work in this deck because it needs a red tamer to get the on deletion draw

“There’s a blue problem” is more of a design philosophy problem rather than a specific card.

The tk Cody in jaxi's list is for the promo pata, it doesn't trigger the start of main for the SR patam the idea is to play the promo to grab something from your security during start of main so you can trigger magna x protection

Now that the players adapted, hopefully people stop complaining whenever I play AncientGaruru or Imperial. The pie chart really looks good now.

The demon castle option in fenrilooga is actually a lifesaver for when you aren’t able to get the 2nd body for alliance out with soloogarmon’s ef. You need that 2nd body to OTK off 4 mem, and players will intentially put out 2 small bodies to stop you. (You pop 1 with doru collusion) The demon castle lets you play a looga for 1, then gain a mem off the looga inherit in takemikazuchi and keep turn to then otk. It also pairs nicely with helloogarmon to bring it out from trash and either get the draws OR pop a card and then continue your combo with a 2nd stack since you discarded. I love this deck and could talk about it all day.

hey, magnamon x 5th place here :) Puyoyomon is (by far) the best blue egg for magna x in this meta. These are the reasons: 1. An egg that gives only +1k (demiveemon), if you think about it, by today standarts is pretty weak. Most dp eggs give 2k. Then theres eggs that draw cards for free, that kill 3k or less for one memory, etc etc. Eggs nowadays are getting pretty stong/utility effects, while +1k it will only came up in very nieche situations. 2. Utility for st magna deck: you cant imagine how many times it came in handy the extra egg trash eff to after proc st magna bounce eff. 3. VS dexdoru - wihouth the puyu, one of teh hardest matchup for magna x. With the egg, one of the easiest. When magna x gets taunted, the egg will let me trash the mind link tamer, making his doruga to loose his blocker and stoping his plays. 4. vs Mirage - another very hard matchup for maga x. As soon as i get a magna x in play, playing with the puyo enabled me to always keep my hand low (abobe 7 card), stopping mirage absurd memory gain and and otk combo. Machgaogaomon will also not be able to proc is when attacking effect, making it possible for magna x to block. This eggs alone turns the tables againts mirage. 5. Tyrant - u get rid of the egg (end of turn attack) locking their gameplay. Also cody helps vs tyrant, the makes me get enought dp to hget over it. 5. Every other matchup - Since eggs are so strong now, and mind link exist, trashing the bottom source is ALWAYS a strong effect, versus any deck. Its a great utility.

Blast dna digivolvijg requires you to have a garurumon on field and a wargrey in hand. So you can only hard play it in royal knights I guess

puyoyomon makes your structure deck magnamon send stuff to bottom of deck easier i think is the thought.

11th place player with Armor Imperial here :) Thanks for discussing the list. My local friends (shoutout to Digimon Montreal community!) developed this list and I only made some minor modifications. You're right that the gameplan is mainly to establish the first Magnamon X and follow up with Imperial (more like Paildramon) plays. Magna X is very useful both offensively (can add an additional 2 checks on top of Paildramon, keeping turn with Primogenitor) or defensively, which was more frequent for me. The matches I lost (one to the first place Imperial, another to AncientGreymon) were largely due to failing to establish Magnamon X in time. I cut a Davis for a 13th rookie, but Davis is a very powerful card that I would definitely like at 2. I don't really want to run any more Wormmons (they don't synergize with Lighdra or Magnamon) or Stingmon (your ideal stack is Exvee + Lighdra) than necessary. I wouldn't say this build is better than "pure" Imperial but I specifically wanted to play something different from the traditional list, as I'm relatively new to playing Imperial and felt a surprise factor would be useful (which I believe it was). It's a lot of fun to play, so I recommend trying it out!

played against Niko's list in the last round in a mirror match and it was wild how much work Hammer/ Icewall does in a mirror matchup. Very well fought by them and so cool they got 8th!

You want to increase your chances to go into Magna X ASAP in order to have access my lv7 toolbox. Ruin mode made Imperial matches easy. That promo Flamdramon is better used for a regular armor rush since awakening at 1.
