- The MOST frustrating speedrun ever! There's SO many elements in this fight that could go wrong which include any wall grab (invisible or actual walls), trips in falling icebergs, Boa Boa sabotage, bigger than average size monster (your swings won't connect with the head properly and they are more prone to wall grabbing), "Parts Broken" which should trigger a trip but doesn't (Never seen this before with any monster), aaarrrrgghhhh, LMAO! I have the perfect script in my back pocket where on 3 occasions I had the most flawless back to back CC chains, however the last trip or 2, Furious decides to grab a wall... Thus I'm personally disappointed with myself since I know if invisible wall grabbing didn't exist or RNGesus is called upon, a sub 4 is possible... I hope this is good enough content for the community and just going to get my sanity back.

Not gonna lie, when I saw the thumbnail, I instantly klicked, knowing this is gonna be good. The Guts theme at the end was the cherry on top.

Holy crap, i still have a hard time with regular rajang. When he goes super saiyan i tend to strictly go for tail and that almost never ends well. Great video, and i hope you eventually get that elusive sub 4 run.

Fantastic run my man. I've been watching your runs a lot. I've been really loving savage axe after unhinging the old one trick saed play style(even though I love both.). You're an incredible CB player and may I ask what's the name of the music you used?

Thx buddy, appreciate you!! I don’t really repeat runs so I’ll let someone else go for that sub 4 unless a new meta comes out maybe 😉 My problem is time and so I rather spend my time making new content instead of getting the absolute best times, especially with BS rng like this 😂
That attack/animation moves him forward slightly and it put his hurtbox into the hitbox of Rajang's beam.
@@leonfrancis3418 Like he said in another comment, that position is supposed to be safe for that animation and it had been until this run. I've safely landed AEDs from there countless times. Dunno if he was expecting the GP from the savage axe transition to shield him there but keeping in mind he runs a script and probably reset hundreds of times it was a calculated move that the game suddenly decided was off by a few pixels.
Can't say whether it was a mistake or just bad RNG but it looks suspicious and Capcom's hitboxes rarely deserve the benefit of the doubt.

I'm still learning a lot about this game, just hit MR100 and decided to go back to finish the special quest for this dude...nope, just nope. I'm def not good enough and I get absolitly murdered.
I cant find any good dps openings, he always KOs me and I'm lucky if I can maintain charged shield:/
I'm gonna try to take some tips from this. Mainly the guard5 and guard up to block that beam and the flop and have a dps window
Thanks for sharing and yeah guard up and guard 5 are absolutely essential for this fight for strong openings and being on point with your guard points is a pretty big deciding factor in terms of the effectiveness of your solo runs. The problem with this build is fitting in health boost but you can make it work with a little sacrifice. It is possible to do this run with a safi blast CB build but the dmg output isn’t as high due to crit element on Kjarr ice.
Since I'm new to CB using it for this quest give me so much pain. I never failed once, but always carted once or twice. I see that you're using max guard and shield jewel but I don't know why my heart can't let go of all the damage skills to compensate for those. I feel like I'm in toxic relationship with resentments skill
Guard Up and Guard 5 is MORE damage, it’s the only reason we use it 😂 They’re technically defensive skills but they allow us to proc max offensive guard with every attack he does by counter GP (except for his Ult slam). The most damage in any fight with CB is to GP counter as much movesets as possible with viable openings and some of these are unblockable attacks and requires more Guard to reduce knockback. I feel your pain, because I have the same urge to fit resentment where poss 😂

I was mostly playing SnS and GS before I tried Charged Blade. Now I prefer CB but it's tough against some monsters like Rajang/Raging Rajang and Raging Brachidios. I also see you don't grab that +50 to health talent. Any reason why?
Great to hear you’re preferring the CB and welcome to our CB mains club!! You don’t need extra health for speedruns and he doesn’t do any move other than the big slam that can one shot you, which won’t happen in a speedrun since you’re applying too much dmg before he can trigger one plus it’s very easy to avoid since you just roll the opposite way when he does it. So ice is better against Furious in the end? Runners used to use Impact.
Kjarr Ice more specifically but if you want health boost perhaps Safi Blast may be better. Both are good options!

is it ok if you can show the exact placement of this decorations cause im have a lot of trouble following it cause its kinda impossible to put all of that and i was hoping it would be on the level 4 slots but it doesnt exist i cant even put max ice or crit eye im able to do 1 and like guard up prot polish and crit element i cant slot it anymore
The entire build should be shown quite clearly at the end of the vid, did you manage to get it? All my speedruns should have it shown clearly to copy.

No focus? You've mentioned before it's mandatory, what's the exception here?
The exception is when speedrunning, meaning you have the fight scripted and every opening calculated to charge your CB effectively. If you waste a single opening or any opportunity to charge your CB then Focus is mandatory. I use it on my casual hunts outside of speedrunning.
My fight with F.Rajang mostly consists of draw attacks and the occasional aed during his beam attacks

Sounds pretty good to me! The AED’s are very important so if you’re getting them in, then great! If you’re using impact CB the AEDs to the head contribute to KO dmg which is critical and if you’re using Ice CB then the AEDs are the biggest dmg output cos of the phials.

What causes your health to go back up during the fight? It's not a health augment as far as I can see.
It’s the Safi armour set. If you wear the full set you unlock bonuses like huge elemental dps but the downside is that each hit you do you loses health but consecutive hits gets you to regenerate your health.

How do you clutch claw the monster at the beginning and not get roared off?
Great question, I equipped a dung pod and then shot the ground with it before I clutched clawed. Throwing any slinger ammo to the ground with a monster who hasn’t targeted you will force the monster in an animation which gives you a second or so extra to tenderise or react without it reacting immediately with the initial roar. Hope this makes sense!

It's savage axe mode, new CB move in Iceborne.
hold back and triangle/Y after inputing SAED
as you're doing your super amped elemental discharge, hold backwards + first attack button (on pc this would normally be s + left click). if your camera isn't facing forward, then use the movement input that would make your character go backwards!

Why did you use savage axe over saed spam. I was under the impression that savage axe is only good for raw damage builds. Is that wrong?
BlackSnow The ice hitzones for Furious isn’t very high so SAED isn’t optimal and the Kjarr CB’s have fairly high raw dmg so Savage Axe is the optimal playstyle regardless what CB type you use here. More importantly, the fight is all about trip control and elemental SAEDs are not accurate enough to put all that dmg in its head. Hope this helps!
