To be honest, as a new youtuber, using copyright music isn't that bad. Ok, you won't ever get monetised for it but by the time you make it as a partner, if ever, this video will most likely be redundant. That's just my opinion but thx for your great feedback!
@@rocksteadyismydaddy My opinion Savage Axe is the most optimum way to fight Tigrex (like most monsters tbh) but it's a lot more technical and difficult to pull off. But if you are capable, you will be the fastest. I've done flawless runs without getting hit but not enough damage in the right places to get the fastest time. The best is if you had a run with minimal running move, not like the RNG in this run, but similar DPS uptime output.

Mind if I ask why you don't finish with an AED to the monster's head whenever they are getting up / about to get up from a knockdown? Seems like a nice way to end a dps combo Oh and also why Safi CB over Raging Brachy? Is it the best impact phial CB in the game?
Great question, that combo is specifically strong when you are using an elemental CB since a huge chunk of your damage comes from the phials of the AED, but with impact CB if you’re playing savage axe playstyle it’s more the raw dmg so swinging or axe hits are the most optimum dmg.

I usually reset after 2 and if you look at the other 3 runs behind me I think they had between 1-2 running moves max. A running move is not just wasting time waiting for it to come back, it shreds your sharpness if you guard, you could be doing dps if you were fighting it, which adds to more trips and KO damage setups, etc. it's exponentially wasting time, but my DPS output was maximised in this run, no wasted hits. I know exactly what to do to get the best time if RNG came my way and I had to repeat. Oh yeah, the song is from the Furi OST and it's called Danger.

Do your SAED combo as usual and after you pressed your final Y+B or Triangle + Circle, Hold down, DOWN + Y or DOWN + Triangle as an additional combo. Technically its Direction away your character is facing (usually your camera is forward so DOWN should be right) + Y or Triangle.

When shooting any slinger ammo to the ground you take the attention of the monster away for a brief moment so in this scenario I used that so I can clutch claw his face, get a tenderise and then follow it up with a guard point ready to start charging my phials. If I didn’t shoot that dung pod on the ground, Tigrex would have roared me off his face and I wouldn’t get the added dmg and charging phials, etc. In TA rules your only allowed to use dung pods or stones for this reason and dung pods can be equipped so I don’t need to grab any stones on the way. At 2:40 I used that clutch claw tactic for maximum dps, if I decided to clutch claw and tenderise it would be less than half the dmg I did with the combo I chosen since all I wanted to do at this point of the hunt is max dmg to the head which is already tenderise I believe. He was also ready for a trip with that amount of dmg I applied to his head which led to the finishing blows. Hope this helps!

That knowledge will make a huge diffrence in my hunts. I was actually thinking that in 2:40 hiting him would make way more damage than clutch claw tenderising but i also thought that maybe there's something i don't know :) Thank you very much for that detailed answer, it helps so much!
No problem and when you shoot your slinger ammo to the ground and distract the monsters attention you can also put some attacks in before it starts to react/roar. Check out my other speedruns and you can see a different start but the same dung pod move 👍
@@8DethTroll8 when a monster is in that "claw me" state and you just attack it will break out of this state very early. If you claw onto the monster then the game thinks you tenderize or do other claw related things and therefore the monster stays longer in that "claw me" state. The game will not know if you jump off the monster though... so you can use these windows for more damage if you claw and then immediately jump off.
I'll probably create a short guide on that since I get this a bit, but essentially it's just the make up feature in character creation mode. I already tested most of the optimum popular colors and will share my different settings in the video. So look out for this!
I got greedy lol and wanted to get that axe uppercut on his “left leg” if you watch it again and see the next time I hit that arm, it flinches him 😜 Defo an error on my part and tried to roll through his armpit which is such a tight 😂
