      Do you really think so? It's funny I found this one to be the worst looking one. It just looks dated and the lights look aftermarket. For me the one before this was nicer (the W220) as well as the current one (the W222). This W221 just has odd lines and creases. Doesn't feel very Mercedes to me.

      SDav21 W222 is beautiful, especially the facelift.... BUT both the current E and C class both look too similar. W220 is terrible, even Mercedes said it was their worst S-Class, time hasn’t been kind to it’s looks too. W221 has that proper teutonic look to it. Also was back when you could tell an S-class from the common E-class.

    • @SDav21
      @SDav21 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@sl0907 Yes it's great. I always wonder why other manufacturers have separate buttons. Also, what people don't know about their Mercs is that if you hold in the AC recirculation button when the windows are open, all the windows will close. Hold it again and all the windows open back to its original position. You just need to hold it for 3 seconds and leave it.

    • @MrCarGuy
      @MrCarGuy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @SDav21 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MrCarGuy Yes the key one is normal. Most European cars have it actually. Even VW Polos and Peugeot 208s. But what other cars don't have is the ability to close all at once by just using the recirculation button. It is very useful when driving with the windows open and then seeing a truck up ahead, or a field fire, or as you're entering the city or stopping at a light. Most Mercedes owners don't know about that.

    Benz had distronic and was capable of coming to a complete stop in the 220 chassis in the early 2000s. You can spin the tires at 40 mph if you floor it. Benz v12s are a rush. Benz tech 19 yrs.

    • @asatrv
      @asatrv 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@2url10 They are. But not if you never service them, which Americans always seem to expect from a car. A high-tech car needs a lot of maintenance, just like a jet. If you don't want to service it, buy some 80's tech from Ford.

    • @ymmij1973
      @ymmij1973 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@2url10 they can be reliable but are expensive to maintain. I just did front and rear pads and rotors on a 2015 S550 today and it was $1,300 for the fronts and $1,300 for the rears at the deakership. Definitely don't take your car to Jiffy Lube to change the oil. Yes it is expensive to change the oil at the dealership but you only doing it once a year or 10000 miles . I see many cars getting the wrong oil. Don't let the car sit, the most reliable benzs is I see are the ones that are driven continuously. If you're used to Japanese reliability do not buy a German vehicle. They are fun to drive safe quick fast but other than that not very reliable. Overall I would have to say the S class does seem to be a little bit better than the other benz's. But beware they are extremely expensive when you need to have work done when it comes to anything.

    IT IS NOT A TURBO ZONDA ENGINE the m120 engine (zonda and w140 s class) is a completely different engine from the m275 engine in this w221 s65 a class, it more similar to the m158 engine which sits in the huayra and it sounds similar to that. The zonda engine is first of all a N/A engine from start and it’s a 4 valve engine, the m275 is sohc with 3 valves per cilinder and it’s turbo charged from the conception. So if you wanted a comparable engine experience to the zonda you should by a s600 v12 w140 s class, the w221 s65 has an engine similar to that in a huayra

    Here in eastern Europe, hardly anyone could ever afford that kind of car, but when you drive one - you just floor it! ;) Our cops are way too slow and there are too few of them to actually worry :) So I guess every place has its downsides. Well... maybe except Germany - they can afford really fast cars and have no speed limits on autobahns ;) And of course you can just go to Nurburgring for the ultimate racing experience ;)
