This Knob Creek 12 is a great,, it's a great sipper my friend,, I believe you rated it too low,,,now straight from Arizona I'm telling you it's an 8.4 ! so put that in your pipe and light it then smoke it and then go to bed and tickle your wife till she pee's.....
Came for the whiskey review. Stayed for the laughs, long pours, and life hacks. Friggin nailed it Matt.

Personally i think KC bringing back age statements across the board AND their introduction of the "findable" KC12 are two of the best things to happen to bourbon, in general, in the last couple years. The age of bourbon IS an important variable in its flavor...it used to be as common as it is on scotch...not so any more. I love the KC is bringing it back.
As for KC12....its a top 5 for me right now and very very very much one of the reasons im content not hunting much these days as the allocated market has just gotten bananas crazy. Around these parts KC12 isnt always on the shelf BUT it does show up regularly enough that i consider it findable. And thats just dandy for me!

I prefer KC single barrel, but when I don’t want such high proof, this is my go to.
Knob Creek is my jam. I had a bottle of 12. I should have bought two, because now I have zero. I do have an 11.5 year old 120 proof KC SB, though, and it is a delight.
I almost never see the 12 year in my neck of the woods...almost is the catch word as l walked in my local bottle shop about a year ago and lo and behold there was a whole of KC 12 and being greedy, l bought 4 of them. Before l knew it they looked like your bottle and then 1 by 1 they were gone. I really like it and l look for them every time l step into a bottle shop.
I would like a Matt yule log... just him sitting next to a fireplace reading bottles and drinking for 3-4hrs. Just reading the bottle and drinking no tasting notes
I’m a fan of Knob Creek. Just picked up there 15 year special release from 2020 while vacationing in Hawaii. I wanted to try it when it came out, but couldn’t find it. Found it in Hilo, HI of all places. Guy had it “in the back.”
Now I need to 12 year. Let’s do this.
I kick myself a little because my local store had some of these last year and haven't seen any since. It's one of those "buy this or a KC single barrel" decisions but it seems like everyone really digs this.
KC 12 is hard to find in the OKC metro and when you do find it it's always marked up. I've been searching for a while now. Recently came by a bottle and paid the $84 asking price. I hope it lives up to the hype.
I just found one in central New Jersey for 68 I picked it up today! I might open mine on Easter with my brother and brother in law
I have a weird thing with Jim Beam not really caring for the mash recipe but whatever they are going to it at the Knob is doing makes it delicious. I really love the ages stuff
Knob Creek has always been a good bourbon. I haven't seen that 12 year on the shelf though. Not lucky enough yet but I did grab a nice Single Barrel 120 that was 9 years old a few months back. She gone.

12 yrs seems to be the perfect age for KC . I have always like the 120 pf single barrel but have really been enjoying this 12 yr . it's as good as any KC i have tasted .

KC 12 is a bottle that I really enjoy. I'm forcing myself to stay away from it because it goes so fast when it hits the shelves here in VA. I hope to get my hands on the KC 15 one day. Cheers Matt!!!
Knob Creek delivers over and over and over again. KC12 is some of their best work.

A very good pour for sure. Usually disappears quickly from my shelf.
When this bottle first came out last year it was priced between $46-$50. Within a month and half it was $60 plus. I really like it and glad I grabbed several bottles early cause I don’t think I will buy it now at $60+.

I'm a buy buy buy with this bottle - one of 3 I always keep on the shelf: KC12, WT Rare Breed & OF 1920. Given your 7-8 range on scoring I wonder if I'm just priced out of the 8+ with a teacher's salary and a newborn.

This has always scored better than the KC 15 so I got the 12. Was said to be Better value. Def complex. Solid 7.9
I think knobs creek 12 is good but I still find it off putting at end with a robitussin like cherry favor that just turns it off for me… but that’s my palate….
Ok love the taste of this bottle. But Jim Beam has to do something about the cork! Not only is the wax troublesome but halfway into the bottle i broke the plastic cap off the cork! I needed pliers to get the cork out! Oh and not long after buying my first bottle for $57 i found a backup for $60.

Had a bit o regular Knob Creek 100P 9 Yr during this one. Its a nice little cousin for some budgety similarity. Granted I also had a bit of Buffalo Trace, Old Forester 100, Wild Turkey 101 and Evan Williams BIB, but that's neither here nor there. What can I say 100P is my wheel house.
I definitely enjoy the 12 yr KC but I am not a fan of the 15 yr KC.

I have the 9 year 120 proof and I haven't seen it on the shelves since. So I've been slow to drink it. Ah PA you rule.

I’m lucky I that I can consistently get the 12 year for 60-65 and it’s a great value. The 12 year cask strength is even better it was a limited release and is gone. The 15 year is alittle better but not worth the 60% premium. Great video!

Local store had it last year at $49.99 each needless to say I bought a case of it it’s fantastic.
Can not get into KC. Any one I've ever had has a dusty corn taste that coats the entire mouth. 100, 120 proof 9yr doesn't seem to matter. Being cheap, I can't drain pour it so I ice it down to about 30 proof just to get rid of it. Strange because I wanna like it.
Local store still has a bunch of the 12yr Cask Strength on the shelf. I have one, it's tasty. It wasn't cheap.... Since I already have the CS, is it worth getting the 100 proof?

Unpopular opinion: I like the regular 9 yr 100 proof Knob Creek a lot for a daily drinker, but to my surprise the SB Reserve 120 proof and the 12 year were meh for me. I’d pony up another $20-$30 for a Booker’s any day.

I've got this, and I think it's...okay. I have several KC SBs, two are 9 years, and one is nearly 15. The 15 yr is definitely the best of the lot. Proof points aside, I like this better than one of the 9 yr SBs, and less than one. But I don;t think it's worth the price. Consider that it is $10-$30 more than Rare Breed, 1910, 1920, Jack Daniels SB, Jack Daniels SB BP, Belle Meade Reserve, etc....Almost all of which I like better than this.
