      @Amy Williams unfortunately some don’t have the luxury of having family and friends, so they find comfort watching others especially when they make you feel like part of their family. It’s not nice to judge people when you don’t know what they’re going through.

    A salad we love to make is a broccoli salad. boil 2 heads of broccoli, bag of baby carrots, and 4-6 eggs (boiled so the carrots and broccoli are super soft). Once cooked do rough chop as it will break down easily. Dump in crushed cashews, 1 cubed avocado, 1 cubed cucumbers, pistachios, almonds, and either cubed apple or dried cranberries. So good and not too much work.

    I like to make sheet pan fajita chicken. Just slice your chicken, onions and red, green, or orange peppers, spread out on cookie sheet, sprinkle with fajita seasoning (either homemade or your favorite packaged), bake at 375 for about 30-40 minutes. Then serve with all the typical fajita garnishes. If your Keto it’s very yummy without the tortilla.

    I have a household of 13 and one of our super easy dinners- fish (any but my kids loved it with tilapia and cod) you take 2 cups of mayo and 2 cans of coconut milk...mix them together salt and pepper pour over fish and into the oven. I will sometimes add sliced onions and ginger aswell depending if we have some on hand! Super simple fast and yummy!

    Yes I totally hear you. It makes my life easier as well to have that good feeling dinner is prepped and there than having to go through the pain of asking everyone, every day what would you like for supper. They all say I don't know. I say thanks that does not help me when not in the mood. So I usually plan a few meals ahead to. So helps when work is hectic. And you have inspired me very much with new ideas. Love to see these videos. hugs

    Im so thankful for you guys sharing your lives and the meal menu /prep videos have helped me get back into cooking for my family of 5 kids. Its been difficult to get motivated back into regular meals and planning. Q: do you let your hard boiled eggs in instapot do natural release of pressure after the 3 minutes? Thanks so much! For everything. You help me feel not so alone in having an above average size family.

    • @lynhanna917
      @lynhanna917 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      in her video she said she uses 2 cups of water with her eggs. I would think that with that amount of liquid that it takes a little longer to bring to pressure so the eggs should be cooked with a quick release. I was doing mine with 1/2 c water 5 min and 3 min natural release but I would get the dreaded black ring sometimes. I am going to try her way (my assumption) this weekend.

    For the curry chicken you could cook in roaster.I have a red one that is rectangular and has a removable inside that would go in refrigerator.I see them on sale at Wal-Mart frequently.You can slow cook,roast,etc.Mine also comes in handy for ham on holidays.We love oxtails and I cook huge batch as grandkids join in,lol.💖(Nesco electric 18 quart roaster,$59.00 Wal-Matt currently,usually go on sale near holidays)🙏❣️

    A tip for the oven, the next time you clean it put down a layer of Aluminum foil down under the heating element, and whenever food spills on it just pull it out and start with a fresh layer, saves lots of time and effort to scrape off burned oils and food.

    You should try meal prep. Fajitas. Make the same chicken salad, you made for summer. Add in taco seasoning cream cheese . Wrap in tortilla put into container or ziploc. The night you cook put fajita sauce on pan bottom and top with cheese. Heat in the oven, till cheese melts. Top with all your favorite pieces ie. Sour cream avacado....

    You should maybe freeze the stuff that is not for the next day( in case a power outage freezer still keeps it safe), if nothing is thought to be raw at the end it can be simple and you can make the stuff long before you need stuff. You can freeze the amounts separate so you plop in the tray before cooking and just pop in the oven when needed. You can make extras for days that you might not feel good and the kids can just take out and solve dinner easy

    Good morning Sarah, I am going to try that fish recipe condensed down for a party of 1 lol. Its just me but I like good food. I saw Belle walk by with her braids. Having braids save so much time. I had them this summer. Gave my hair a breather and for fall I am going back. Have a great weekend, blessings

    I think I will try your rice casserole there sometime I don't know if my family would like it necessarily as a meal but definitely as a side with chicken or something. Lots of love from Kanata Ontario Canada

    I love when the boys would help me in the kitchen; it meant more bonding time & less steps for my older legs. They were also learning how to feed themselves when they are out on their own. :)

    You keep me so calm when driving and when I’m in a place that I’m anxious. Thanks for making me feel so comfortable and in a way grounded when anxiety is kicking my ass. 💞💞 Much love !!

    Sometimes the easy simple meals are our favorite meals. We are adjusting to “empty nest” life, but I’m finding meal prep just as important as before. Now it’s too easy to want to go pick something up, rather than take the time to prepare what we already have. Meal prep is a skill for life
