It's easier to eat plant based when you have more practice. You know your ingredients better and you know what you like, so it doesn't require as much thinking.

Thrilled that u shared your idea of having "chick peas" w/mayo! A must try since I have
cans of chick peas & wanted to change it up instead of my usual adding them to salad.
Light went off when I saw the kids dipping bread into olive oil! My mom would have us dip celery sticks into olive oil w/garlic & S&P....a healthy/tasty choice which most liked. Mom
also prepared a different version of tuna salad: tuna cut in pieces, plac'd on plate, covered
w/little olive oil, onion, olives, S&P!.

We participated in the Veganuary challenge this year - going vegan for the month of January. I didn't think it was so bad. For dinners, our favorite meals were tabbouleh bowls (tabbouleh, chickpeas, grilled zucchini), burgers (made with sweet potato, walnuts, and black beans), pastas (bolognese and eggplant), baked sweet potato bars, shepherd's pie (sub lentils and mushrooms in for beef), and chili nachos. Breakfasts were a lot of smoothies/smoothie bowls. Lunches leftovers and salads. We're not big snackers. I did miss having cream in my coffee for sure. Having to make our own condiments and dressings was the hardest part, for sure. That and remembering to soak and cook beans ahead of time got a little tedious. I thought it would be less expensive overall, but it wasn't! We did decide to be more plant-based going forward so I try to make all our breakfasts vegan now, plus 1-2 dinners a week vegan or vegetarian.

Put salt and pepper , garlic powder and ranch powder on them toss cook for the 12 minutes. My kids will eat that with meal or as meal itself or snack. Season it to your taste. But for about three to five pounds I put about two packages of ranch on them. Great with every meal.

Hellman's Vegan Mayo is a life saver for me especially on the beyond meat burgers when I am craving a burger experience, just in case you guys do another plant based or vegan challenge week again... also I love the vegan cream cheese from kroger called simple truth organic, out of all of replacement sour cream and cream cheese they make the best flavored one I have tried so far...I think this is because it has the most natural ingredients as well as the shortest ingredient lists...I loved this video, you guys did awesome

We were sent home on hospice to die but God is good and we are currently at St. Judes Children's research hospital where she is fighting for her life. PLEASE PRAY FOR US! I created a page on Facebook for her. Look up prayers for Sohaila to follow our journey.

Love watching you guys! There’s a lot of creative planning that went into this. We have issues doing dinners without any restrictions 😂 I have watched you guys for a little over 2 years I think. I don’t comment too often though. I do want to say thanks for keeping up your channel all this time. You and Solo have amazing hearts and I’ve never seen you say a harsh word towards anyone. The way you look at difficult situations shows who you truly are. You are an inspiration to say the least. You and your children give hope in a dark world. Love y’all and blessings ❤️

It's great that you guys did this! If you do it again and want some tips on how to get more protein in the meals, I can give you guys some simple menus with ingredients that will be more filling/full of protein. The only thing with the meals you showed is that many of them lacked "staying power" and so many people feel unsatisfied and hungry after eating this way they think that meat is the way to fill themselves up.

It must be SO hard (I'm sure it would be hard enough just you and Solo trying this) but trying to please 11 people for a week (and mostly kids) - no wonder you're growing weary LOL. I have no idea about Vegan food but when we have nice bread and want a dipping sauce, we use 1 part Balsamic Vinegar to 4 parts Olive Oil (and herbs if required) and it's DELISH! Can't wait to see the end and if you will do this again! x

Nutritional yeast is a game changer, with children there should be beans, tofu or tempeh at every meal. Tofu can be blended as a sour cream like sauce or a base for dressings. Nutritional yeast helps with b12, and cheesy flavor. I would have gotten vegan butter and a couple of things to help. Awesome job

Honey bees are not the same as wild native bees. They out compete native bees for food and aren't as effective at pollinating because they're so efficient at making honey. They also spread disease to the wild bees. The best way to help the bees is through conservation ☺️

This is in no way a negative comment but I think this video definitely showed that any type of specific “diet” or way of eating can be unhealthy as well. Many of the vegan snacks are very high in sugar. I have found taking different recipes from vegan, vegetarian and meat are what work best for me. It’s also so great that each person has the ability to choose what they do and don’t eat in our country :)
