    That CJRB Crag is as advertised. One of my favorite fidget cleavers. Doesn’t feel budget at all.

    Was honestly never into Pocket cleaves until a few yrs ago....I finally got one The Kizer XL Sheepdog with Carbon fiber scales... is a BEAST!!! Best part ots 154CM and is pretty darn sharp out the box and it's surprisingly comfortable to carry great knife and all for only $99! It's Easily worth $299, other brands with the same materials would charge that or more!! They even have the smaller size for $70

    Kizer Sheepdog XL is just amazing, perfect for a jean jack or leather jacket pocket. It's a ridiculous notion anyone would carry it in their jean pants pocket as EDC, that not to say it's not useful for everyday tasks. And the sound it makes flick it open is super satisfying even to non-knife enthusiasts. For someone that grew up in a big city it's a normal size knife, at the very least you can impress your friends cutting a slice of pizza in half like a champ.

    I've had my Kizer XL Sheepdog for over a year now and I love it. I was a bit apprehensive about dropping $100 on a Chinese knife but as soon as I got it in my hands, I knew it was money well spent. Fit and finish is truly impeccable. From the smooth flipping opening action to the satisfying sound that rings out when it locks into its open position, very impressive! I liked it so much I picked up a Sheepdog Mini for my son.

    I tested out the xl bullmastiff, just yesterday. Used it to prune raspberries. The edge geometry made for effortless, clean cuts even through the biggest, toughest canes.
    You would expect much more drag with a blade so thick, but its very "slicey".
    Action is excellent, The weight of the blade feels peculiar in a flipper but the detent' is perfect. Civivi breaks stereotypes about Chinese quality.

    For a gift I just ordered a Buck Trunk. My brother doesn't care to much for a pocket knife but I've been working at him, so for his job promotion I wanted to get him a knife, he picked out the trunk 🤷🏼‍♂️ this video is helping me order a clever for my rotation now 😂 that crag is nice. This has to be one of the silliest pocketknife trends I’ve ever seen. What reasonable purpose could one of these serve that any other blade shape couldn’t serve better? I guess they’re cool to look at, and I’m sure a person could easily get by if that’s all they had, but I just don’t get it. Maybe I’m dumb, but I just can’t imagine a truly good use for one.

    • @madbug1965

      IMO, Great for breaking down cardboard.

    • @The_sinner_Jim_Whitney
      @The_sinner_Jim_Whitney 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@oldman_eleven Most have WAY too straight an edge (no belly) for food prep, this one sorta not included. Way less blade for sliced produce, etc. to stick to with a more useful blade shape, though, and as an AVID outdoorsman, I can confidently say that VERY few campers are cutting up their food with a pocketknife (except MAYBE wild game, which is once again FAR more easily processed with a more traditional shaped blade).

    • @The_sinner_Jim_Whitney
      @The_sinner_Jim_Whitney 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@davidvermont Anything with a good edge (beyond maybe a fillet knife or something) is great for breaking down cardboard. I can break down the 4’ x 4’ x 4’ x 3/8” thick shipping cartons for the polyethylene pellets made at the plant at which I work these days into 5 individual hunks in a matter of seconds with my Mini Bugout. Not only is a Mini Bugout a sub-par knife for the task (my S110V Para 3 unfortunately won’t fit in the pocket I need it to for work purposes), and not only does virtually no one have to break down THAT serious a flavor of cardboard often (I think these things are over two ton when full, it’s stout stuff), and not only does it kill a normal boxcutter blade like every third box, but my knife can be reasonably used for things that AREN’T cardboard. Maybe if the majority of my job was breaking down cardboard (it isn’t, as an IBEW journeyman electrician, I mostly just do it to make hunks of cardboard to soften edges, protect energized parts from metal shavings, help me design various plates, brackets, etc.), which almost no one’s is, they MIGHT make a LITTLE sense. Breaking down cardboard seems to be a ‘thing’ only in the knife review world, 90+% of cardboard cartons are easily ripped to shreds by hand and/or will readily fold flat with almost no effort. NEXT…

    I just can't see gerber. I was given a small back-lock folder years ago, and while I've put a wicked edge on it many times, it just goes away. I wouldn't want to buy that, too many others to choose from. Picked up a Crag. AR-RPM9. Let's see how well the DLC holds up. Razory out of the box, takes a plain leather stropping pretty well, just having trouble with the lock - too low profile! Hard to do without shifting grips, and that ain't right! Can't hardly close it Left-handed...should be better. Maybe a CLI with lube will help - just wish there was an adjustment. Maybe I'll try a Sheepdog, looks good. Really want a 4.5" spearpoint for EDC, is that crazy?

    I like the Spyderco the best . Now open that phone service back up and I'll order one. The link you sent me doesn't work like iv tried to tell you. If you ever go back to work, let us know. I'm sure I'm not the only one that made orders by phone. I guess it's nice working from the house. I never did that. I was always at a factory making my living.

    Let’s be honest, no one is buying from knife center because we can buy straight from manufacturers for cheaper

      False statement.
      I just bought a Red Horse Hell Razor from Knife Center for $205. Manufacturer has it listed at $260. Huge difference.
