It’s so true, it feels like people who try to show a clean house that they been cleaning before recording a video and saying “oh my goodness my house is disaster “ that’s just funny. I don’t really like to watch this kind of videos where people just showing off . I like to see the real mess before and after. This kind of videos actually expire me.

I agree...what you're doing is much more of an impact actually seeing the items get CLEANED and not just a mere wipe down. You spoke of your tiredness. Have your Dr. order a sleep study test for a condition called Sleep Apnea. I wish you well ❤

I totally agree! I have been watching decluttering & cleaning videos for about a month now & some of those ladies need to move on & help a neighbor really clean a dirty house because all I see in theirs is a little cluttered that would only take 15 minutes to straighten right again. That's not my life!! My older girls would often get tired of the constant cleaning, scrubbing, & sweeping behind their younger siblings to the point of saying, “ why bother?!” I'd tell them if you don't shovel the snow while it is still snowing, you will get snowed in!”

I have just found your videos and as someone who has ADHD, every word resonates with me! I am not sure how you are able to talk for an hour and I can really hear every single word and are able to keep my attention! I love it, you sound like a motivational speaker. You have managed to give me some motivation that I am really lacking to get stuck into my house and to do all those things I have put off for the longest time! Thank you for being such a positive light in these current times! I think you are amazing xx

    • @Kacey420
      @Kacey420 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes exactly! Same with me, she always has my attention. I never get bored. And every single word resonates with me as well. I’ve been following Remi for over a year now! She not only makes me feel better about myself and my environment on a daily basis, but she is able to give the proper vocabulary and confidence to explain to my loved ones what happens in my mind 24/7!! In a way that they can understand, because of having ADHD & Autism myself I find it extremely difficult to properly express myself and what I’m trying to say in a way that whoever is the recipient can understand and essentially accept how things are for me. Remi you have bettered my life significantly from your videos here and instagram. I try to check TikTok every so often as well but it’s not my favourite application. So Thank you Remi! And thank you lashingsofgaut for sharing this with others as well. Somehow I missed the ending of this video with the business of life and am finally getting back to finish it off today. So your comment also resonates with me! I was, in a sense, where you are now roughly a year ago. Remi is amazing, and helps so many people so much!! She may be busy as busy can be with her own life and loved ones yet she still takes the time to provide people like myself with this content, on several platforms, to help us feel seen and heard. And accepted in our own lives (even if that acceptance we seek is from within ourselves!) Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! So very, very much for your content Remi!!
And Thank you to all the people who leave positive comments and feedback. Negativity is the real wide spread virus today, that is actually disgusting and just so unnecessary.

@@remiclog Hey Remi, try vinegar on the rust stains... it might take a bit of it sitting on the spots and using some baking soda to scrub it in with, with a brush. Yes, the two together cause a bubbling chemical reaction, but it's not a harmful kind of reaction. The acid of the vinegar breaks down the baking soda that creates carbon dioxide gas (the old volcano science experiment trick, lol), which will help with the lift of any grub really. Anyway, just wanted to say that, cause I've had really good success with vinegar on rust stains in my sink, etc. I hope it works for you. Have a great day and upcoming weekend! I use WD40 and spray it around the bottom of my garden pots to stop them eating my plants! They can’t cross that either! Oh Remi! You are such a delightful and gentle person, and a good soul to listen to. Regarding your desire to have a plant in the bathroom. Due to the low light, it is very likely no plant would thrive under the low light - So I have a suggestion. This includes the cherished hand prints of your little precious ones. Take several shades of greens and browns paints (your artist Father can really guide here) Using higher quality art paper, or even a prepared canvas, make trees and bushes from the children's hand prints. Then paint in the tree bases - you will have a lovely painting to hang over the toilet. As the years change, you can continue to add a new painting of hand print trees. Thus you will have a lovely memory through the years. Blessings! .

I LOVED every second of your video. I watched it from beginning to end in one sitting, well lying down in the bath, and now I’ll watch it again as I get stuck into cleaning.
I loved it not because I wanted to see you yank strings of mucky stuff from your drains but because you are such a lovely, kind, honest girl. You feel like a friend.
I’m older now, 70, and live alone. Like you, for the past few weeks I’ve been knackered. Not sleepy but no energy whatsoever. Had two lots of blood tests and it’s creeping pneumonia. I’ve been so low that it’s taken me 9 days to get into the bath for a soak. I’ve been washing, I’m not a scruff, but a bath felt like too much effort.
Anyhoo, while running the bath, I gave the bathroom a scrub and when I’m dry and dressed, I’m going to bottom the kitchen.
    Cheers love.
Ps. Some people are just hard faced and insensitive. Maybe if they were happy, they wouldn’t focus on being skinny and perfect. Hell, some of the most beautiful women in the world get unhappy, they just keep it a secret.

❤ Try Mr.Muscle expanding drain cleaner. I got some the other week from either B&M or Poundland. (I'm impressed with both stores' ranges of cleaning products!) Worked a treat when I did my bathroom. I bottle did the bath & sink. If it's really bad, get 2 bottles, one for the bath & the other split between both bathroom sinks.
You can also use soda crystals, which will also clean the washing machine to. One bag of 500g is around £2 and you only need a couple of (vanish) scoops for each sink / bath. Also good on really mucky clothing to ;)

The pneumonia will be treated with antibiotics. I feel better already. Soon as I heard your opening statement I thought right, I’m going to do this! And I did.
You help so many people I’m sure. What you do makes us feel less alone. Not everyone runs around with Mrs Whatsherfaces cleaning products every day because they want the world to know how perfect we are. I’d much prefer to be a happy, loving mum like you who can live with the fingerprints and a mucky dog.
I’m so happy for you, your husband and your family, it sounds like YOU, are the one with a perfect life.
All best love and bugger the judgy, pseudo perfect people with no bloody manners. ❤️

I'm a grandma now, how I wish I had known some of these things when my kids were small. And teenagers. I burned out so bad that I quit cleaning altogether for a few years. Actually took moving to a new house to get beginning to be straight again. People don't know how hard it is to have a job, school, kids, partner, etc. I love your no shame approach. I love listening to you talk. And I've found that when you are done, I go clean something. Thank you!

Hello! First, when you ask why do people like cleaning videos--I watch for your chats. I like listening to a fellow mom-we’re not alone. Second, you mention people who always have their house clean and I’ll let you know a secret, that may not mean they are put together. When I was a kid I’d clean all the time, didn’t realize it at the time but I did it hoping my mom would come home and would be really pleased with what I’d done for her, which never really happened. It never gave me the validation I was looking for. I am still a clean freak and still clean with the false idea that once it’s done everything will be alright, still searching for that validation. I’ve been through the low iron issue before too, that tiredness is awful, hope you’re better soon, Anyway, glad to have another video to watch. Hope you have a good week!!

I’ve watched this video over several days because when I watched it through the first time I realised that I could have a fantastic body double to get things done..so, went back to the beginning and cleaned some things in my house that haven’t been touched in a long time! The hoover, for example: it’s been an alien that I used but never thought to become familiar with! So, when you cleaned yours, it gave me the encouragement to take mine apart…oh, Remi! The clog I took out of the bend where the brush runs into the hose part!! With kitchen tongs no less! BUT with filters washed and the long hair clog gone it’s so quiet and is like brand new! And no longer an alien…I feel accomplished! But honestly that would have never happened but for your help! So sending you a virtual hug, and I’m so glad that the blood work revealed the trouble so that you feel better quickly…I don’t know you irl, but I do adore you and your sweet family and I’m so thankful for your videos!

It helps a lot to have someone who understands and ACCEPTS us with all our quirks and flaws and models how to keep on keeping on. On another video one time, you were talking about how hard it is for some of us to do simple things like make phone calls for appointments and things, and that was the first time I ever knew that there were more of us that felt this way. You said something like “this stranger on the internet wants you to know you’re doing amazing” and I’m sure I’m not the only one who so needed to hear that and paused, rewound, and played it over - thank you! This was the same with me Remi. Over the course of a couple of years I kept seeing the GP and having blood tests, but all came back normal. But I knew something was wrong, trust your own instincts and keep pushing your GP. Eventually I was diagnosed with ME. Yes the fatigue and pain is horrendous. I have to have nap throughout the day, some more than other days. I also have to plan around what needs doing, as any activity can leave me further drained for days. It's not fun. Hint for the trash can. Sprinkle carpet fresh powder in the bottom after cleaning. No matter how quickly I replace the plastic bags the bottom gets dirty eventually. The powder will absorb spills and the fresh scent keeps it smelling clean for months. When you do clean it out use water like you did and the powder will melt away and the mess washes away easily. I thought of it decades ago and I haven't stopped. Great video 👍

I’m so glad you’re back for this clean. I hope you’ll be back to your old self soon. Another TH-camr I watch is feeling poorly, too, Mack from Midwest Magic Cleaning. I hope you’ll be at your best soon for a good summer. On your comment about toys, homes, kids being Over sanitized- you’re so correct on many levels. All that time that we’re cleaning toys and even kids themselves (I grew up with a strong immune system due to living in the country with animals and dirt). Cleaning and oversanitizing these days also takes the toys and time away from the kids’ playtime & creativity. We seem to teach that appearances are more important than fun. Let them make mud pies and appreciate the tiny hand prints and love any paw prints on the lino. You’re a pleasure! I know times aren’t always easy, but you have a good heart & a smart head on your shoulders to know what real life is. Thank you for sharing yours with us.

Remi I found you a couple of days ago and you are amazing! There is no need to feel embarrased by the fact that the house is dirty, it's a CLEANING video! I hate those videos of people "deep cleaning" houses that are already clean... With titles like "come clean my desaster home with me" and it's just a couple of food wrappers on the floor, some toys strewn around and some sorry dishes and the house is actually spotless. That is not how real life looks for many of us and my house gets DIRTY! I wanted to watch a TH-camr like you! Thanks for your videos! They make me feel more normal. I keep trying my very best every day!

@33:28, in case no one else stated, yes that round fabric item is a filter and yes you are doing it correct: wash, rinse, dry and reinsert. Often folks who plan ahead (not me) will buy a couple of those so they can insert a clean one while another is in for cleaning. The foam ring is also a filter and yes you are doing the cleaning on that correct too, just make sure it also is dry before reinserting. Hope that helps anyone out there who is wondering...

I put 1/2 cup of water and then add either lemon juice or vanilla, depending on my mood. 😊

I actually sanitize my sponge by putting it rung out and damp into the microwave. I do it for two minutes and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Wipe everything out as if it's just barely happened. Works a treat.

Ahhh that was a great long video, and such a satisfying deep clean!! To those who say they're "bored" with watching videos of the same rooms being cleaned: just keep scrolling. You Remi are a gem and I always enjoy watching your videos. I could watch you clean til the cows come home. 🙂
Very glad to hear your fatigue/exhaustion is treatable! Hope you feel better soon with the iron pills.

Remi, continue doing what you’re doing because I think it’s great! 😊 I’m a grandmother and I watch and listen to you as I clean 🧽 and you really help motivate me because you are down to earth and you say things as they are which makes you unique! Your videos and explanations are relatable and I find myself mentally answering you as I clean lol 😂 keep being you! 🤗

I adore your thinking and your integrity, honesty, bravery AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ❤ God knows some people will say the darndest things, but people like me love having you as their cleaning companion and cleaning mentor and you’re a bit of a therapist without possibly realising it Remi. Thank YOU ❤

I LOVED this video. The idiot telling you that you are inferior to her because of the way you look or clean really should have a good look in a mirror. People who criticize behind your back (in the comments section is behind your back) are cowards. Don’t change anything about yourself. You are the most genuine, caring, beautiful person I’ve come across in a very long time.

I love your real life repetive cleaning of house because it inspires me to clean my home even when I don’t feel like it. Love your commentary please don’t change. I look forward to your new posts. Also your beautiful just the way you are. I agreed with you 💯. So happy you called out the negative body talk commentor. It doesn’t help and was mean and you never know what is going on in someone’s life and their body isn’t a reflection. For all the person knows someone could have had an illness, been depressed or struggling with substances or have an eating disorder. Your an inspiration!

Silent watcher here, just wanted to let you know how much you help me, not just because I love a cleaning video, but just in feeling better. I watch you all the time and whenever I feel low, I find myself scrolling through your videos, you are so wholesome and calming. Thank you for being you ❤️

I cleaned with you the whole time! I did the bounce from room to room thing, where if I saw something that needed attention I just took care of it (instead of ignoring it). The cat litterboxes are sanitized and have fresh litter, the dishes are done, the shoes are all put away, even the kitchen table is decluttered (almost never happens) and wiped down!
I am proud of you and myself and adore your videos and your authenticity.
    Thank you, Remi! ❤

    Dear Remi
I have just found you today!!
    I can't believe my luck.
So many things you talked about in this video rang true with me.
I ran a small pub with my husband up until January this year.
I spent a lot of time keeping it clean and tidy.
Then when I retired I thought, wow I'll actually have time now to keep our home clean.
Well, little did I know that my brain and my body would go into a melt down. I'd spent all those years being so hospitable to thousands of customers, I just switched off.
I couldn't find any motivation to clean, make things tidy. All I wanted to do was rest.
8/9 months on from that I am more in tune with better habits but it doesn't bother me if I get behind and, like you, will make up for it when I get a new influx of energy.
I have loved watching and listening to every minute of this video. I could see you making a podcast or writing a book.
You're just wonderful at keeping things true, loving your family and you have a good heart. I will be following you from now on. Cheers
