@@kathryngardner9584 I’m in the states. Yes, it’s a vicious cycle. Depression causes mess, and mess causes depression. I’m slowly cleaning up as I can, with my husband’s help. But he’s a tiny bit of a hoarder, so that causes me anxiety. There are all kinds of psychological disorders that create this problem. For my husband and tween son, it’s ADHD. For me, it’s bipolar 2 and ADHD-inattentive type.
@Sarah Lund, I feel the same. She is just a lovely, accepting young woman who is "life" wise beyond her years. Her advice is so very important, we're all wired different. Don't beat yourself up over your short comings, we all have them. Instead take great pride in all you do well,. Ask for help where you need and offer your help when you know it's needed. Friendships and families thrive by living like this, in a community.
Isn't it cool how cleaning for someone else lights up our brain because it's a PROJECT, not a chore? Love it! So satisfying and everyone gets blessed by it. 💝
Absolutely!!! I worked for 2 years as a live in carer for spinal injured (2004-2006), I was great at keeping those homes clean and tidy. My own house though.. 😮
I have to tell you I cried watching this. I found you just yesterday & watched every video and this one hit me. I'm your auntie. I'm that woman who just can't get out of her own way & is constantly living in a mess but so overwhelmed by it I can't physically fix it. The kindness & love you've shown your aunt is amazing. I wish I had someone in my life like you. In one of your shorts you talked about others making nasty comments because they just don't understand, That hit home as well because my mom is a neat freak & my best friend has a maid that comes in 3 times a week but still criticizes me, someone who works a very stressful job 48 hours a week. I just don't understand why they do it. Kindness & compassion goes so much further, To come home to a nice clean house like you've done for your auntie would be just the motivation I'd need to try to stay on top of it. Instead all I get is criticism & judgement. We need more people like you!!
Oh Krista, so easy for others to judge, until they actually walk in your shoes. Maybe one day something will happen that will trigger that utter level of exhaustion that means even the smallest of things are a huge effort, on top of a busy and stressful job, for those so quick to judge. I think as women we cop it even more than disorganised messy men, as the societal pressures and expectations still revolve around us being "home makers" and when we do not live up to that, we become "problems"! All the best to you with taking those little steps like the 10 minute challenge or setting aside two hours to make a start. Even just getting part of one room looking good will give us a boost and be positive for our well being and mental health!
Blessings to you. I’m paralyzed by clutter so getting started is the hard part for me. If you can declutter the kitchen today, you will feel sooooo good. Sending a cyber hug ❤️
If your commenters are offended by your home, then why don't they offer to help, instead of putting the boot in? Our home should be our sanctuary, away from these judgemental bullies. 🙏
The only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. Same with a house that overwhelms you. One room at a time, or even part of the room. Next day, keep that space you have done tidy. Pick up stuff as you leave the room that has to go somewhere else. It’s not a race to do the entire house and many of us have health issues where it’s not possible to clean for hours. 15 mins is about my span then the aches take over. So just a little bite at a time, but keep the effort made tidy.
You are so special. I texted my friend who doesn’t understand my clutter. I sent a video of yours and I said “This is me!” Thank you, you wonderful young woman. I am 62 and I finally found you. You make sense to me. 🎉❤
You are absolutely adorable. You’re kindness, non-judgmental ways are exactly how we should live. You give me inspiration to be a better person. You two did a great job!
So kind and considerate of you. Depression is no joke. I'm a naturally tidy person but when my mental health took a nose-dive, my home really suffered. However, because I like things to be clean and tidy, I spent a lot of time thinking about tidying the mess but finding I had no energy to do anything other than lie in bed. It became a vicious cycle where I kept wanting to clean up but lack of energy would prevent me and so I'd then feel even more demotivated. I'm glad that you're understanding of your aunt's situation and are helping her with this clean- I'm sure this means a lot to her!
man that cycle of wanting to get it cleaned but basically being frozen in place is so draining. i feel like that in itself just makes mental health even worse.
Going through the same now. It pains me to see my "home" like this. Can't invite Family, Friends. Don't want to come through that front door if I've been out. So hard! Harder still because it's not me... God bless this dear lady for coming to her aunt's aid.❤❤❤
Hearing you talking about not putting more shame on your auntie because she might not keep the place tidy and clean after you done it for me made my tear up. This is EXACTLY the thing! I've been diagnosed with depression years ago and my place was just always horrible - and I was a messy kid, like you shared it, my parents were just helpless. Just a year ago I was diagnosed with ADHD and finally understood about the WHY. It is not "just being lazy"! Putting more guilt on top of it when I person struggles already does not make anything better! I am so thankful that you spoke about it and that more and more people get aware of the whole topic. Social media helped me to get better, too! But I am not a creator (yet). I watched so many videos about minimalism and ADHD and related topics and they gave me courage to turn things around in my own life. After a time, it went to well that I started to offer help to friends and family like you do! I never want to do it for money, I just have it in my heart to help people I love and what you do for your auntie is just so amazing! You have such a kind heart and I respect this so much! Thank you! It means so much for everyone having a hard time with mental health and bad things that happen in life. About the drivers license: I failed the driving test three times, too! I was so scared and ashamed because if had cost my family so much money, and because I lived in a small, very remote village, I desperately needed to be able to drive! I even had to take the theory classes twice because in my country there is the rule, that after you pass the theory exam you have one year to pass the driving exam. If not, you have to start all over again... and this happened to me. I was so ashamed and terrified... but managed to push through and passed on the fouth try, which was on my 18th birthday... I even had taken up a job besides school so I could get the money to pay for all of it again - but I made it! And I hope, that you will make it, too! Being independend is SO important, not only for managing a family, but also for mental health and self worth. I wish from the depth of my heart, that you will reach your goal. Stay safe, thanks for being so kind and open about all this - I wish you all the best! :)
What a gorgeous thoughtful message. Thank you for sharing your story and experiences. I wish you all the best too, and so much happiness and self love ❤️
My daughter failed her driving test three times. She got depressed I just told her to not tell people it was her money. She just needed to do it in her own time tell the instructor she was nervous and try to relax. When she understood she didnt need to tell people she passed.
Remi, you are my favorite youtuber. I'm so happy I found your channel, you have helped me accomplish more in the last week, than I have in the last 12 months. I literally hear your voice in my head when I'm cleaning, telling me to keep going, telling me it's ok to break, & ok to stop & start again tomorrow, that was something I really struggled with, now I know it's not a race,& I don't have to be perfect. I watched the video of you cleaning your dad's place twice, you said a lot that really resonated with me, I'll probably watch it again today honestly lol. You are so inspiring & I can relate to so many things you talk about in your videos. Thank you so much!
Remi, You are an amazing person--you exhibit the type of kindness that goes into understanding and helping others who might experience the world as we do. You would be a great nurse/care manager/peer support specialist. You inspire motivation and you understand how certain mental disorders can affect everything you do. Keep on being the kind person you are, and ignore the negatives--they just don't understand. You have a huge cheerleader here in USA.
As a retired mental health worker this warms my heart. So non-judgemental 😊. Also I have depression and ADHD so my home can look just like that at certain times. Thank you ❤
@@solangelalebron1348 I am a mental health worker, and no one can’t. The very words themselves are stigmatizing. “Lazy” can mean depression, executive dysfunction, procrastination for some reason you have no concepts of. It’s best no to judge nor use words like that, nor think you know.
@@occipitalneuralgia2339 Listen I was severely depressed AND injured, and I let my apart a mess in order to heal myself. But from time to time I had to just throw out the trash and pick up some stuff and do laundry. Also, it was messy but not dirty. Get it? When you throw the toilet paper that you just wiped yourself with on the floor over and over until it piles up into a mound of toilet paper or let animals like chickens roam around your home that is Laziness. There is a flaw with the character of the person. Because I know a lot of depressed people who don't let their homes look like that. Again, a mess, scattered items, laundry on the floor is depression. When you have Filth it is not, THAT is unhygienic, flaw in character, so EVEN IF that lady didn't happen to be depressed, she would STILL be dirty. Get it?
@@solangelalebron1348 you clearly don't understand the difference between being clinically depressed and feeling down because you are injured and can't do what you normally do. Clinical depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain that effects different people in different ways. Working in healthcare with those who are diagnosed as clinically depressed I've seen people so effected by the symptoms of fatigue that they couldn't summon the strength to eat, bathe or even get up to go to the bathroom. It's not unusual for people with major depression to find themselves surrounded by clutter including dirty dishes, clothes and even rubbish. Not only does depression make you fatigued but it also effects your memory, ability to focus, being easily overwhelmed, mood swings, anxiety and the feeling of despair. Any one or combination of those symptoms can paralyze a person. I pray you never have that experience.
You are so kind and amazing. Your attention to detail to make your aunt’s home as clean as possible shows your love and empathy for her. You and cousin did a fabulous job!
Thank you for sharing the kindness and love you showed your Auntie. Depression mess is painful. I can picture her making a cuppa with a smile and snuggling up in her cozy new room . I adore the little corner! Thanks too for reminding me to be realistic about what can be achieved in the time you have to avoid overwhelm. Your videos are helping me face my own executive dysfunction. And your voiceovers are lovely x
Absolutely lovely video. I love your style. I watch loads of American/Canadian cleaning and decluttering videos so it’s nice to watch something from ‘home’. No frills, no high expectations, just good old fashioned cleaning without the pressure of having to make the space ‘instagram worthy’. You did a fantastic job and have inspired me to do the same. Can’t wait for more videos! Thank you so much xxx
TH-cam recommended this to me and I'm so pleased that it did. Firstly to find a creator based in the UK and also that your care and understanding really shone through. I have a disability and depression and my house is worse than your Aunties. Thank you for being so understanding about how overwhelming depression can be. I'm definitely subscribing to your channel. Lots of love from Leeds xx
I would love to come and help you tidy your house but I live in NZ. I find clearing up other people's spaces more enjoyable than my own. Depression is a beast.
I am the same and my house is incredibly untidy, I am overwhelmed by it and even though I will be 62 this year my mom makes me feel guilty because I havent got a schedule - she is constantly cleaning her house and will start cleaning at 4.30am. When I get my cleaning head on, I do a bit at a time. One day, I will move the furniture around in my living room .... one day. Depression sucks.
I love the thoroughness with which you cleaned each room. A lot of people just hit the high spots and move on. But you get down in the corners and everywhere. This really satisfies my OCD.
I love the fact that you are so sympathetic to your Aunts way of life. No judgments, just love and kindness. So much of what you say resonates with me. Like you I was never naturally tidy, but loved cleaning. I created a schedule of am/pm, weekly, monthly habits so that the entire house was clean. Everything had a home so tidying up was 15 minutes either end of the day. Grief and bad health in the past couple of years I have got out of the habit. There was a spider in my kitchen I was too ashamed of the state of my place to call my neighbour in to deal with it. I didn't go into the kitchen for a week. I am slowly getting back to doing a little each day to reduce the clutter and the mess. Your work on your aunts place is a inspiration. With a heart as big and generous as yours I wish you and your family all the very best.
Thank you for this lovely comment!! I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had some tough things to deal with these past few years. I know that you’ll get where you want to be, one day at a time 😊 I’m wishing you all the best too! X
Hi I'm new to your channel and I deeply struggle with executive dysfunction. Watching your videos is healing for me and you give me hope that I can get better at cleaning. It's my biggest issue in life so far. You're voice is so soothing and lovely. Thank you thank you thank you. Hugs from the states 💕
Oh that grief rings true with me and 2 year COVID lockdown in Victoria, Australia, that for me, as a very social person, that lives alone, really threw my mental health off balance. All power to you. It's awful when your place is so messy that you don't want people coming in. I guess I should be grateful, that I have managed to pretty much keep on top of my kitchen, laundry and bathroom, but geez the rest of my place has stuff to sort out everywhere!
@@fionaludbrook8193 Well done for keeping on top of the kitchen. Two years is a long time not to be able to hang out with friends and family I know how that can destabilise one mentally. I hope you are back to normal now and are out every week with friends. I am still chipping away. The weather finally changed in London and we have had dry sunny days for the past two weeks which makes a huge difference to constant rain. Take it a metre at a time and let me know how you are getting on. All best
Remi you are amazing. The attention to details. You have a big ❤ You're auntie is blessed to have you and your cousin do this amazingly great cleanup. The flowers was such a lovely touch. Great Job well done. Love to watch you clean your voice overs are so soothing. 🥰
You have this way about you that makes me feel so at ease. You’re so non-judgemental. I’m in the US and I could definitely use someone like you in my life. But just watching you gives me inspiration. I just wanted you to know that. ❤️
Your family is so blessed to have you and your cousin do this act of love, kindness! You guys made such an incredible difference to your aunt's home - amazing.
What you and your cousin have done in SEVEN HOURS is truly AMAZING! Astonishing! I love your attitude with the muck and hard work, as well as how non-judgmental you are. The fact that you recognise that it won't be kept up like this... Thank you so much for sharing that you too were/are a messy person but have changed through having children and doing this on social media! We're HERE FOR IT! Keep going. You are doing SUCH GREAT WORK-- not just for your family here, but for all of us viewers who want that extra bit of motivation and inspiration! I'm gonna deal with at LEAST one box or table surface area I've been avoiding for literal months. Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU! ~Aleif from India.
@Patty Wood Wow, Patty! Thanks ever so much! (Now, I'm slightly confused-- I don't know if your comment refers to my videos or this channel's. Hehe. But I feel and share my gratitude nonetheless.) ❤❤❤
I got my drivers licence at 33 years of age! I was 8 months pregnant with my son. I took 17 lessons. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but SO worth it. Good luck to you and God bless you for helping your aunt.
👏👏👏👏👏 I am starting to work with a lady to develop a "life skills" class for homeless coming off the street into an apartment. They have lost/forgotten the how-tos and skills are weak. It is the way you show the work yet verbalize the explanations and non-judgemental "it's okay" is why I've subscribed. You are/will be so inspiring to them! Good job on so many levels! Thank and bless you! 🇨🇦
Your Aunt has an enormous heart, as do you and your cousin. What a lovely family!! Well done on your achievement, and I wish you all the best for your future plans. Thanks for making me feel a little less guilty ❤️
I adore Remi. It’s also extremely interesting to see how British houses are set up. I’ve been obsessed with England forever and this is a tiny glimpse into their lives. I love it
You're an angel. I'm actually jealous of your generosity and kind heart. I grew up in a filthy home. I was never taught to clean, so I definitely lack some skills and do have trouble tackling cleaning tasks, but I have always been so desperate for a normal space that I developed a lot of resentment for the rest of my family for refusing to help maintain the home. As an adult, I moved back in with my parents temporarily and cleaned up everything for them, but they continually just remade the mess, which resulted in more upset and resentment. I wish that I could get over that; it's just so hard to watch your work seemingly go unappreciated. You're an extremely generous and forgiving soul.
You and your cousin came through like a breath of fresh air and made your aunties home look cozy and lovely. I have no doubt she really appreciated the effort. And thank you for not putting expectations on her to keep it up and tidy. Even if it goes off in 24 hours, so what. She enjoyed it nevertheless ❤
What wonderful nieces you are! You did a truly amazing job in such a short amount of time. I’m sure your Auntie was so appreciative of your kind act. Hopefully it raised her spirits and made her feel better. Your voice overs are inspiring and honest and would help many people including myself to know we all feel challenged sometimes and no one really enjoys cleaning but it can lead to such a rewarding feeling when you do start and see a difference. Thank you 🙏 😊
Thank you for this video! You actually inspired me to get up and start cleaning my parents house. They are 65+ with lots of health problems and they are struggling with cleaning. So I got the courage to ask them if they will feel ok if I will clean and declutter their house for them - all based on this video. Now I am somewhere in the middle of this mission, but every room cleaned is giving us so much joy! I do one room per day usually, but bathroom took me 3 days - there was so much clutter. I already plan to continue with the yard and garden, once the house will be done.
I love your videos and all that you have to say-I could listen to that “luvly” accent of yours all day! I am 72 years old and live in Pennsylvania in the U.S. I found you on TH-cam because I have a bunch of chronic health issues and can really get behind on my housework and feel overwhelmed. You’re such a sweet encourager and encouragement-keep up the good work! Sending hugs from America! 🤗
I am loving these videos! Girl I appreciate your honestly and self awareness, I struggle with mental illness and depression and so often get so overwhelmed that it's so great to be able to be inspired by someone that isn't judgemental and is full of great tips. Thank you
Your enthusiasm is contagious. I’m a wheelchair user, full time, and it takes me centuries to clean. It’s like a slow motion film. It’s so annoying! But when I see your videos, I feel motivated to have a different attitude towards the house chores. Thanks so much ❤
What an amazing human you are (not forgetting your cousin)! I don’t know too many adult kids who’d help their parents out let alone extended family! And your wisdom at such a young age is wonderful! Well done you 👍🏼👌
My mother suffered from depression and as children my father would tell us to clean up but we had no training as to what to do first! I learned from observation when I would visit my friends, this was way before social media! My sister joined the military and thus we learned from others. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!
This is my home right now, as I’m coming out of a depression era and ready to start tackling making my home cozy and comforting. My mom sent me one of your other videos but this is the one that is really inspiring me. Thank you for your kindness and empathy to how life can get us into these situations. Your non judgmental words mean the world to me as I’m watching.
Bless you for not making your auntie feel badly if it gets messy again. My in-laws have helped me before and then guilted and shamed me when it didn’t stay clean and organized to their standards. It hurt me so much.
Please thank your aunt for letting us see you work and clean. Your heart and vulnerability is a breath of fresh air. I so relate with you and your auntie. I’m naturally a messy person too. I didn’t understand what Decluttering was. I didn’t see it was a mess til it was totally out of control with piles everywhere. My home is far from what I’d consider neat and tidy, but it’s finally getting there, the more I learn to have strategies in place. My goal is for a 5 minute tidy, to get everything back in place per room. Cleaning and Decluttering is like peeling layers off an onion. It takes time. We will all get there though!! So glad I came across your channel. Look forward to seeing more from you ❤
What a life changing event for someone with severe depression. Seriously. You are an angel. And I love how you're learning so much too. This whole video was just beautiful and I wished so much I had been able to do this for my mom who was a depressed hoarder.
Wow, you deserve the "Niece of the year" award! That was a lot of work! What a kind, thoughtful thing to do. I'll bet she was absolutely thrilled with her newly clean home. 💝
“Keeping a tidy space is a skill that is learnt and needs to be taught” so true! I grew up in a home with alcoholism and although my parents did their best to keep the house clean they never had time what with the daily chaos of our lives, to teach us anything or to spend time with us. Thanks for your videos it makes me feel less alone and freakazoid 😅😊😂
I recently just found you & this is the 2nd video I've seen. Your a person that shows love thru your actions, your honest about your weaknesses or perceived faults and because of this you are showing your true beauty. I just feel better listening & watching you. You understand the struggles so many have yet your a giving, hard working soul just trying her best with what she has...your right on sooo many things you touched on in this video, to many to mention. Thank you & I look forward to seeing you again🌻🌺🌷
It’s the 2nd video I’ve watched too. I have multiple medical issues as well as depression, anxiety, ADHD and got told 2 years ago at an autism specialist clinic that I was more autistic than my daughter that they were working with. I love Remi’s heart and honesty, and she is a person I could comfortably let into my house.
Just found your channel and wanted to thank you! The struggle with being overwhelmed is real! What a beautiful gift you and your cousin gave your auntie!
This is beautiful! I felt emotional watching! The transformation you achieved is amazing - and I so love your outlook on life! You are kind, caring, unselfish and hard working. I’m sure your channel will go far. Thanks so much for sharing ❤️
I didn't know how much I needed to see this video and hear your lovely voice over, but now I have, my soul feels so much lighter. Thank you for seeing and loving depressed messy people
Posting this before watching the video: thank you so much! I went scrolling through videos trying to find a “cleaning your way out of depression” video in hopes it would motivate me and I’ve found your channel. This is the third video I’ve started watching and I can’t wait to see how you transform this home 😊 a “depression mess” is no joke for sure! It sucks. I’ve been in a pretty severe episode for almost four months and my house is a mess (mostly junk and misplaced stuff) but the first video I watched of yours gave me a kick in the bum to start cleaning 😊 you’re awesome!!!!!!
Something you said really hit home to me about kids needing to be taught how to clean - ridiculously I have never thought of that because it always came naturally to me, but I realise it doesn’t to everyone. One of my sons has adhd & I really try & understand & your videos helps give me an insight, thank you! Lastly, I’m still fuming that a school didn’t think of the results of an egg hatching project 🤯 🥚 🐓 thank goodness for people like your auntie.
Thank you for sharing real life!! I laughed when you mentioned the music, my mother use to put the music from the radio on when we all cleaned on the weekend - each of us taking a room!! We’d dance as we worked and laughed - a lot ! I still listen to music today when I’m cooking or cleaning ! You are terrific!! God 🙏❤🫠Bless !!
I have stumbled across your channel and love your kind nature and understanding of mental health and how it affects daily activity. I genuinely feel you have helped your aunty to recognise how so much better she will feel coming home to a lovely, tidy and clean home.
You and your cousin are sweethearts for doing this labor of love for your aunt. The result of all your work is just wonderful! Thank you for sharing - you’ve inspired me. God bless! - A Messy in Texas :)
You are a real inspiration, I love the way you are realistic about what can be done and that it doesn’t have to be perfect. You made such an improvement here and I actually did some tidying and cleaning today when often I feel so depressed and stuck. I think I have executive dysfunction too and you have really helped so thank you x
Love how you talk the whole time. It makes me feel like I have someone in the room with me as I clean or declutter. I’ve been trying to find a channel just like this. Also love that you help your Auntie without expecting her to keep it clean. Just like her, I like to live my life but not cleaning.
That is so very kind of you to do this for her with limited time and with compassion. I loved how you spoke about executive dysfuction and how all of us are wired differently: what is easy for someone may not be as easy for another. Compassion goes a long way. For many people with ADHD or other executive dysfuction disorders, cleaning up someone else's space is much easier than cleaning their own. I'm sure your auntie was so, so very happy when she came home to this. Sometimes you just need a fresh start and to know someone cares.
You're a lovely person with a lot of love in your heart for service. You did an amazing job. I wish you lived here in San Antonio TX USA, I would hire you weekly. LOL Love you voice and your editing also.
I hear you on the sensory issues with dishes! I have to really prepare myself for it oftentimes. My tricks (so far) are to wear t-shirts (this has saved me on so many occasions from feeling overwhelmed. This way I don't have to continuously pull my sleeves up while my hands are wet) and only doing a small amount at once. I also tend to use warm water instead of hot. This helps a lot with the weird texture on my hands. I usually just use hot water if I need to soak something for a bit. I love your videos!
Dearest Remi. I watch your videos over and over again because I love them that much. You are an amazing woman, and especially a wonderful mum. I love how you allow your children to play, play, play, regardless of the mess that's made. Please don't let the negative comments get you down. You are doing a fantastic job managing your life and your executive disorder. When your children are older, you will have no regrets about the way they were raised, and that's so very important. You never rank a clean house over happy children and that's such a wonderful quality.
❤that’s absolutely adorable of you. The first time I don’t feel guilty about me and my incompetence in housekeeping. I am stuck in a very long lasting depression and anxiety and I thank you a thousand times for not judging people like me. ❤
Amazing job ladies!😍 You are magic and inspiration and your Auntie is supremely lucky to have you! I really LOVED the before and after clips because after awhile I had forgotten how cluttered the house was before.😄 The flowers are the perfect "cherry on top" as well! I could see your Auntie relaxing there, in her clean tidy space, after a hard day at work. WELL DONE!! P.S. I also love to throw out dirty mop water!!😂 One time the water wasn't dirty and I was actually disappointed!😄
You rock young lady!! I subscribed to your channel after seeing you clean your Dad's kitchen. I love your discussion of why these things happen to some of us. I have had depression problems plus health problems and when you are alone it can get out of hand. You hate it and it's embarrassing to have people come in. I am laid up at the moment with a broken bone, but when I heal and can bear weight again, I intend to start decluttering a bit each day. I do not want my home like this, and at the moment I am feeling so motivated to get it done. For a while though, I had no energy to do anything. So glad I found your channel!!
This video was so much fun to watch! Tysm for showing the cleaning, your kindness, and the results! Your narration was full of compassion and I love how you identified with your aunt so that it wasn't "you vs me" but more of a "hey we're all human and we're in this together" type of vibe. One thing I've learned about cleaning the front of the oven - take off the knobs for a much easier time. The range burner knobs pop straight off and can be washed in the sink while the remaining surface will now be flat and nicer to scrub without having worry about turning the knobs. Hope this helps!
It's really amazing to see someone so non-judgemental! So rare! My clutter and house, and yard make me feel so ashamed. You are a wonderful role model!
This video was on auto-play as I sat down to eat my breakfast so I just watched. What a lovely person you are - kind, generous, thoughtful, considerate. I subscribed just for that! I love that your aunty saved the hens too.
You have become my favourite content creator in a very short time. I have suffered from depression for many years, and your incredible heart lifts my spirits every time I watch you. Thank you.
You both did a fantastic job. Your Aunt's place looks beautiful. Thank you for your kindness & empathy. I just happened to find your page. I can't wait to watch more videos!
This was both wonderful and satisfying. The love you two have and poured into the project made it all the more pleasing to watch as well as inspiring for me to get up and clean. Thank you for doing this “chore” for your much loved auntie. You also did a fantastic job filming with what you had and I certainly hope you get the filming equipment you desire and deserve.
This is a brilliant video! Thanks for talking about executive dysfunction I have ASD adhd inattentive and an acquired brain injury. I can’t manage to get on top of my house and yes the guilt was awful. My mum was like yours. And could do the cleaning easily and made me feel inadequate. Shoutout to everyone who struggles like this much love from Edinburgh ❤🤗🤗
I'm happy I stumbled onto your channel. Seeing this transformation and hearing you talk about your aunt in such a loving and non-judgemental way has been a gift. You are a gem and I wish you all the best.
Bless you, such a big heart with no judgement. My auntie is exactly the same. Some people just are not wired to be tidy and that’s fine. Whatever we can do to help is worth it for a few days of peace for them. I hope that your channel grows and you get your filing equipment :)
Hi remi, I know this video is a few months old now but I’m watching while getting my bathroom clean for my sister coming to stay.. and I just wanted to take the time to say thank you 😊 for yr content.. it’s really easy listening and I love that you do voice over while you work as a lot of cleaning vids have music.. which is ok but I love to hear you talk about struggles and overcoming.. hope this makes sense 😂 all the best 👍🏻👍🏻
I just found you today. You are so relatable and real. I struggle with depression and my house also reflects how I feel. The more overwhelmed I get, the more depressed I get. I get stuck in that cycle. I’m hoping to get motivation from watching you. Thank you for sharing!
This video taught me that there are people who are out there that understand a depressed mess
❤️
I can only thank her for this. 😊
Hallelujah,yes!!
Isn't it cool how cleaning for someone else lights up our brain because it's a PROJECT, not a chore? Love it! So satisfying and everyone gets blessed by it. 💝
One hundred percent!!! ❤️
Absolutely!!! I worked for 2 years as a live in carer for spinal injured (2004-2006), I was great at keeping those homes clean and tidy. My own house though.. 😮
💯
Very nice and nuice friend
I thought it was just me
I have to tell you I cried watching this.
I cried too. All the guilt I feel by doing nothing even when I wake up with so much hope for what I can get done, then ppplllllttt...
I sent a video of yours and I said “This is me!”
Thank you, you wonderful young woman.

I feel like this every day
Omg!!!!I. That's me!!!!
It does my heart good to know that there are people like Remi in this world.
Thank you so much beautiful big hearted lady ❤

You sound lovely ❤
Thank you ❤
There is a difference because messy and filthy. I can tell who are the ones with real depression, who has mental illness and the ones who are lazy.
@@ajourneywithmyfather1980. Thank you for your kind response to the person. ❤
Thank you for showing depression and how it manifests into other areas in our life/home. You are an absolute blessing x
You are so kind and amazing. Your attention to detail to make your aunt’s home as clean as possible shows your love and empathy for her. You and cousin did a fabulous job!
Remi if no one has told you lately - YOU ARE A GODSEND!!!!!
What love drive 🚗
I agree ! Remi is a sweetheart 😊

Your aunt is so blessed to have you and your cousin to help her out. You did an amazing job!
I got my drivers licence at 33 years of age! I was 8 months pregnant with my son. I took 17 lessons. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but SO worth it. Good luck to you and God bless you for helping your aunt.

I am starting to work with a lady to develop a "life skills" class for homeless coming off the street into an apartment. They have lost/forgotten the how-tos and skills are weak.
It is the way you show the work yet verbalize the explanations and non-judgemental "it's okay" is why I've subscribed.
You are/will be so inspiring to them!
Good job on so many levels!

Your Aunt has an enormous heart, as do you and your cousin. What a lovely family!! Well done on your achievement, and I wish you all the best for your future plans. Thanks for making me feel a little less guilty ❤️
Popcorn and Nugget 😂. What adorable names for chickens.
Thank you
Hope you get better! And the people who are judgemental, this could happen to them!🧼🪣🧹🏡💜💖💝💚💞
Your enthusiasm is contagious.
I find your voice so soothing and heartwarming. Your love for others really shines through on these videos!

You're such a kind person! That was a beautiful gesture that you and your cousin did for your aunt. We need more people like you in this world!
What a wonderful job! I know your auntie must be so grateful for you both! 🎉
Thank you 😊 x
Something you said really hit home to me about kids needing to be taught how to clean - ridiculously I have never thought of that because it always came naturally to me, but I realise it doesn’t to everyone. One of my sons has adhd & I really try & understand & your videos helps give me an insight, thank you! Lastly, I’m still fuming that a school didn’t think of the results of an egg hatching project 🤯 🥚 🐓 thank goodness for people like your auntie.
You sure are a kind person. The works needs more people like you.

Your aunt sounds like a good lady. I adore people that love animals. I wish her happiness in her life. You are very kind to help her. ❤

If my nieces or nephews ever gave me half of the time and beautiful attention that you’ve given yours, I’d be blown away.
You two poured your hearts out! I really love that you understand not all people are minimalists or clean freaks. Keep up the great work.
Amazing job ladies!😍
You are magic and inspiration and your Auntie is supremely lucky to have you!
I really LOVED the before and after clips because after awhile I had forgotten how cluttered the house was before.😄
The flowers are the perfect "cherry on top" as well!
I could see your Auntie relaxing there, in her clean tidy space, after a hard day at work. WELL DONE!!
P.S. I also love to throw out dirty mop water!!😂
One time the water wasn't dirty and I was actually disappointed!😄
You made such a lovely difference at your aunties.. You are a sweet kind young lady 💗🙏
You both did amazing work 👏. I hope your Auntie was tickled pink when she saw her home! You're an angel 😇 💓
This was so heartwarmingly motivating, I hope you had a good time filming this!
We actually had the best time! It was good to spend some quality time with my cousin too ☺️ x
You have become my favourite content creator in a very short time. I have suffered from depression for many years, and your incredible heart lifts my spirits every time I watch you. Thank you.
Happy happy vibes from this. Thank you for uplifting me! ✨🌟✨🌟🌟🤗
Agree, I'm sure Remi's step dad must be chuffed with the great work his old phone is being put to as well!
Thank goodness she has you. You are a good person.
You did a fantastic job!! Your aunt is lucky to have you! I love that green chair as well. The flowers were a lovely touch. 🌼😊
I'm happy I stumbled onto your channel. Seeing this transformation and hearing you talk about your aunt in such a loving and non-judgemental way has been a gift. You are a gem and I wish you all the best.
Yes I have also stumbled across your channel, you are a lovely caring young lady. Your aunt is very lucky to have you. I enjoyed your video. 😀
I agree, I actually find the talking far more inspiring than music.
I love how accepting and loving you are of everyone. Thank you.😊
When my kids were little we got a 4 drawer filing cabinet and we each had a memory drawer for cards and art from school along with baby books etc. 😊
I just found you today. You are so relatable and real. I struggle with depression and my house also reflects how I feel. The more overwhelmed I get, the more depressed I get. I get stuck in that cycle. I’m hoping to get motivation from watching you. Thank you for sharing!
