@@moxxiedemongamer3019 it'll be this way until 2025 when Viacom regains the streaming rights to South Park as a show and it's all moved to Paramount+. Until then it'll just be 6 episode seasons and like 3 specials a year which are honestly just getting dumber. I think South Park works better as 20 min episodes than hour long specials. Not all of them have that much to say but stretch a concept to movie length. I think if they keep making South Park Specials after Viacom gets the streaming rights to episodes back it'll be proof that Matt and Tre are running out of ideas

I like Kenny but his family unfortunately gets the least screen time out of all the families, not to mention Karen is kinda underdeveloped and one dimensional
I love how in the post COVID special we get to see Ike try to make it to South Park in time for the holidays cause he wants to be with his family i.e. Kyle. Them having a good relationship well into adulthood is also a sign of how much they still care for each other.
I don't know why it took me so long, but I JUST realized the main group represents every type of child in a family; the Oldest (Kyle), the Middle Child (Kenny), the Youngest (Stan), and the Only Child (Cartman)
I know suicide is a serious topic but the way Ms Stevenson became sidewalk pizza was just hilarious.

I’ve always liked Kyle and Ike better then Kenny and Karen because they’re more real for me. They act like normal siblings. They tease each other but they love each other.
Considering how the Queen died last year I can see a forthcoming episode or special where Ike revisits Canada because of the passing of the Canadian monarch and meets up with his biological parents & family adding depth to Ike having a knighthood which is why he visits the Canadian royals funeral.

_The first mention of Kyle being a good brother made me think of when Kyle kicked his brother through the window in the first season, or that one time when Kyle took away Ike's vape_
In short yeah it's a pretty weird 50/50 relationship between caring for each other and hating each other so I honestly can't argue with this lmao
I like how Ike's voice is just various production babies saying "Cookie Monster" or whatever. 'Cause kids are basically just walking non-sequiter machines.

As the Jewish kid, Kyle was always the one I latched on to growing up (though Kenny was a close second but that’s because of both his heart and the fact that he used to die comedically every weak). I could relate a lot to him and his family. I even saw a little bit of my own mom in Sheila, though Sheila is basically always turned up to 11.
It’s just a shame though that they massacred Gerald’s character for no reason.
Though here’s something most people miss, one of the oldest running jokes in the show. If you take Kyle and Ike’s names, remove the “-yle” from “Kyle”, and put the names together, their name becomes a very offensive slur against Jews. So that’s a thing lol.

35:56 dang you seamlessly intertwined lore from seasons apart. It's fun to think of Southparks history as lore, because it kind of is. Tells a huge story spanning generations.
Random thought about Kevin McCormick: I think it would be cool if they aged him up and instead of being 12 or 13 like it looks like he is, Make him 16 and have him work on his car in the front yard. None of the characters in the show have a teenage sibling, and I think it would be really cool to give the boys a slightly older but not adult aged character they can go to for certain plot lines.

It’s also a commentary on how when young boys are in situations with older women, even little boys, it’s viewed as like a “yeah you go get em son! Get that poosay! Haha Yeah you’re the luckiest boy alive being with that woman!” Like the baby clothes with “mommy’s little heartbreaker” type shi or like just social conditioning for boys to feel achievement if they “score” with women.
But this double standard is a result of patriarchy, with all systems of oppression it will eventually circle back around and not only hurt the oppressed, it’ll start hurting ppl that benefitted from said system of oppression.
Like how men aren’t seen as victims of sa/da, shouldn’t have feelings, should just get over it, conditioned to think them being in predatory relationships is okay, etc. it’s all due to patriarchy, among many other aspect of our social systems (I’m talking mostly in the west btw)…
It’s extremely nuanced and wording it so simply like that can lead to ppl who are misinformed/have the wrong idea/ straight up bigoted taking that and running with it

to be fair to Kyle not knowing what a bris is, my parents didn't really explain it either and I figured it out on my own by the time I was 13. in fact they seemed content to give me half or no info and just flip out when I display ignorance...
I personally think that South Park is one of the most intelligent shows written by their satire of the real world, they can take any topic, toe the line but still make you think. I strongly believe comedy is a great way to make a commentary on societal issues and make conversation on said topics easier, South Park always takes things into ridiculous over exaggeration which any mature person watching can realize also South Park also usually has at least one character that is the real voice of reason on an issue, in my observation it’s usually Kyle and sometimes Stan
