    2.) Celestial Vindicators (Turquoise)
    3.) Hammers of Heldenhammer (Matte Black method)

      @@MutsuKazumacan confirm. I did essentially the method in the video, starting with Scale75 Necro Gold, then wash, then Viking, then Dwarf gold.
      The result is similar, but as Mutsu says, less gaudy which is my big complaint about Retributor Gold.

    For black, my secret weapon is Vallejo German Grey, borrowed from a Raven Guard kill team post on reddit a few years back. It's very similar to Corvus Black I think. It's a very deep grey, and with a Nuln Oil wash becomes a pure black in the recesses. I basically use it for any black except for "pure" black, which again, Vallejo Black is my go to for that.

    Thank you to your videos! You’ve inspired me to pick up the brush more often now! And thank you for your kind words on our channel. Anyway I have been looking at the tools you use and I have a couple of questions, not sure if this is the way to do it anyway here goes:
    1. How does the texture pallete work in terms of cleaning it? Or does it get “colourful” really fast?
    2. I was thinking about picking up some series D after watching your videos. How do we clean it properly? Is just standard soap?
    3. If I picked up the brush (series d) for stippling and dry brushing, assuming I clean it after every time I use it, how long are they expected to last?
    4. How many of these do you suggest picking up (what size) ? If I’m thinking of starting a new project on dominion.

    • @ArtisOpus
      @ArtisOpus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      1.) Prime it whatever colour you prime with most commonly - 'start again' as much as you like :)
      2.) Yeah dude, check our ultimate guide, or any long in depth drybrush only video, most of my cleaning happens as I work, cleaning your drybrush and drybrushing are the same thing, texture palette is helpful for this, use as a washboard :).
      3.) 2000points for larger brushes, roughly, I still use some very old ones on the channel, they're shorter, and get 'demoted' to stippling/heavy duty stuff
      4.) D Set + XL, maybe grab an S3 + 5 for some beefy efficient washes, too.
      Hope that helps! Let me know in another comment chain if you've any further questions :)

    Love the look of these Vindictors, very nice job! Just a quick question... In your previous video on the Annihilators, you used Reikland as a shade for the gold but in this example you opted for Guilliman contrast, do you notice much of a difference in finish between the two choices and do you have a preference? I currently only have a couple of contrast paints but I have the entire range of shades, is it worth shelling our for more contrast paints as an alternate, or perhaps better option than shades? Or just stick with what I have? Thanks.

    • @ArtisOpus
      @ArtisOpus  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's one of our products! store.artis-opus.com/collections/series-d-drybrushing
      I never clean it, just re-prime black before new projects.
      We now have an XXL version, it's pretty chunky! Great working area, and we've redesigned the palette in general with more flat space to play with paint, also.

    • @ArtisOpus
      @ArtisOpus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question, you could wash black for ultra deep, or mix a little in with your black initially. Careful with the highlights or dry rush as it is easy to go to pastel. The wash can bring this back if you go too far though! Let us know how it goes :)
