Recently, 'Union Territory Government Amendment Bill, 2023' was introduced in the Lok Sabha. This bill amends the 'Union Territory Government Act, 1963'. This Act includes the provision of establishment of Legislative Assembly and formation of Council of Ministers for some Union Territories. Along with that, government also came up with The 'Appointment, conditions of service and term of office of the Chief Election Commissioner and other Election Commissioners' Bill was passed. It includes rules related to the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners. This bill will replace the 'Election Commission and Election Commissioners Conditions of Service and Conduct of Business Act, 1991'.
In other section, the Koya tribe of Andhra Pradesh has decided to end a tradition thousands of years old. He has taken this step in an effort to conserve the Indian bison. In fact, the Koya tribe uses bison horns to make their traditional flute ‘Permakore’. Therefore, now she will use eco-friendly palm leaves instead of bison horns. Permakor means Indian bison or guar and horn in Koya language.
