- Out of all of the possible forms of Dio, I'll say that this one is around top three for me. Heaven Ascension Dio is cool, but I think his portrayal in Stone Ocean has been one the best showcases of Dio's character. Even the choices in design were amazing, but I will say I like The World Over Heaven too. I like how it retains the design, but I would be totally fine with passing up the stand for a better chance. When you have a design chance like C-Moon to Made in Heaven, The World deserved an even cooler design.

Thought about that as well. But the explanation/ass pull I thought to explain that one, is that DIO took the Joestar blood he needed to completely take over Jonathan's body. So they getting in contact in some hand wavy hand shouldn't affect them. With Jojo, everything is in the fine line or just... not explained.
I mean, it would have been weird (and kinda awesome in my opinion) If Jonathan just walked up to him, hugged him while saying he forgave him (Pretty much the phantom blood ending) and erased each other from existence. The kind of dramatic ending a Jojo deserve and well within Jonathan's saint type character.
How that would have affected the time, is another can of worms. But, you know, It's Jojo.
Yeah, too much of a stretch considering how the "touch yourself and explode" rule was explained in SBR, to me is just Araki being inconsistent. Maybe DIO's current body in his current world is no longer the same object as Jonathan's for some reason, maybe it just has already lost all of its original components or some shit.
I think that since this DIO beat the Joestar's in his universe, he probably took their blood, properly acclimated to it and proceeded with his Heaven plan, and by the time that was all done with he had full control of his body and completely made it his.

This is literally the first time I looked up anything about Za Warudo Over Heaven, and the concept of Star Platinum Over Heaven had me on the floor laughing.

Probably the most stupid point in Jojo's history. Dio literally doesn't use his stand when he can and should, and Jotaro gets this stand that requires work, without work.

Peasham Yeah. It may have had SOME input from Araki (barely any, really), but the story actively changes everything after SC. Since Jojo is technically a "multiverse", it's debatably in a secondary canon, only one that's unimportant to the main canon. The game's story is just a massive fanfic that rehashes notable manga scenes and events anyway, just with different contexts. As far as the manga is concerned, it never happened.
I just wouldn't be surprised if Araki made it canon is all. He wasn't the brightest cookie with past parts, either...

According to Giorno. Dio's Over Heaven is the opposite of Golden Experience Requiem. GER can negate any action rendering it back to zero. Dio's Over Heaven is the ability to do anything he wants into reality. There's a big weak point though, he needs to punch the thing he wants to rewrite or touch it with his hands. Jotaro use a gear of DIO's body from part 3 against this DIO and it breaks his arms. Rendering his Over Heaven Ability to nothing. After that it's just a repeat of part 3.

I agree that Jotaro suddenly having Over Heaven ability is kinda lame, but this ending isn't that bad (although I think it would be better if the story was about Jotaro executing Dio's plan himself to evolve his stand).
First thing is that Jotaro doesn't win only because of their soul/stand connection so that he has Over Heaven, but because he destroyed Dio's hands with his armlets, if he didn't have it, Dio would have killed him. So that's a smart move. He didn't win only thanks to him having the same stand (like in anime and manga), but also because he outsmarted his opponent using knowlege and resources he aquired from Funny Valentine.
Second, thanks to that, Jotaro rewrites reality and we have the perfect ending to the whole series where every character, jobros etc survive, really wholesome ending.

One little nitpick, from what is shown in the game, I think it implies that DIO won against the Crusaders without needing to really fight them. (At most, he had to fight Jotaro on the street and killed him within their first punch clash.)

Heaven stands all have the same power: Do whatever the user can imagine. As for Requiem stands, the general consensus is that their ability isn't necessarily determined by the user or their stand, but the problem at hand. Thus, to determine the Requiem ability of a stand, we'd need a situation to put them in.

Here's an idea; What if The Pillar Men had Stands/what would they be

But it's better use the easy idea and say that they are particular human-like creatures with powers.

It's stated in the wiki (if the wiki is to be trusted) that all stats (power, precision, range, speed, etc) is infinite, meaning the world over heaven can probably go ranged/pilot mode

Technically, this is canon. You see, when Part 3 ends with the airport scene, once Joseph and Jotaro say goodbye and give a hug to Polnareff, they cut the rest of the part to when Jotaro’s head shows out the airplane window. The part that was cut was probably when Speedwagon arrived and this whole mess happened.

HA DIO and The World: OH seem pretty busted on the surface, but they have two key weaknesses: TW:OH can only overwrite reality with its fists, and HA DIO, while ridiculously strong and resilient, is still, technically, vulnerable to damage and death. Theoretically, a stand that is both a) instantaneous and b) intangible could elude TW:OH's overwrite mechanism and deliver a killing blow. What stand am I talking about? Why, it's none other than *BAITSA DASUTO* of course. The *only* way to survive that thing is for Kira (like a dumbass) to undo the ability before the explosion recurs after the time loop.
