We've been free for 75 years. It's time to reconnect with our rich heritage. Listen in to Palki Sharma Upadhyay.

Greetings from Greece with much respect for Indian heritage!
Thanks but your words are very funny.
It was Greece who sold the way to reach Bharat(Modern India) to west.

I'm a 42 Brazilian. The knowledge I had of India was very distorted and fragmented until a friend gifted me the Bhagavad Gita, which sparkled my interest in doing further research on India culture and tradition. I never encountered anything as beautiful, complex, vast and sophisticated. It's really a shame that it took me so long to discover all the knowledge that was and still is being produced by Indians. I live in Chennai now and it saddens me to meet Indians that are absolutely unaware of their own greatness and are still imitating the failed ways of the west.
Your story is fascinating to hear, yea if you look at modern Indian youth today, very less are properly aware of everything that India was, they simply don't care, it's due to lack of awareness and education system
Samething happen to Brazilian native religion that are similar to hinduism .

When I read it, I feel that I am under the spangled heavens of a summer night.

Removing and/or minimizing a country's culture while mass importing other different cultures is the globalists way of erasing borders, loyalty, and patriots of a country for in coming one world order, one world government. One set of laws for everyone.
So noone is an Indian or Italian or Canadain, or Swedish or Australia or Egyptian or Argentinian etc. anymore.
No one will be anything, just humans/citizens of earth.
Destroying a country's history, traditions and culture has been happening for many decades around the world.
It won't stop as long as globalists have power and/or control.
the real truth is the satanic zionist masonic money power corporates controls all ... there was never British 'colonies' ... However Indians,Chinese etc etc have COLONIZED Britain,Australia,Canada,USA etc over the past 75 years....
Yes. Only now Ukraine is showing the world how not to do it! 👎
As an African I feel you. So much of our technology was taken and branded west, our culture destroyed, language distorted. We need to break free
I agree with you and the worst part is they brought down their religion as if we were barbarians and its because of western religion and thoughts that we become civilised which is bullshit.
An excellent assessment and very well spoken. However there is a touch of myopia in your perspective. What has Britain done for India? Well, a new way of thinking - based upon observation and evidence, called science. The industrial revolution, especially the trains that still carry millions of Indians but everything else you want in your life. Government and nationhood. A modern economy. And an alternate home for those who want what the UK offers over what India has given them. For all of this, Britain has asked for nothing except diligence and peace. I think there is an arrogance of some in their view of white people. And its nothing to do with skin colour. Its the illusion that victimhood will take them into a world they aspire to. The problem for these people is that chasing illusions will forever stop them from attaining what they aspire to. Its actually about thinking, and we have already given that to you. And you've rejected it.
@@alanharrison573 Ignorance. British didn't build railway for Indian people. They build it to move resources and raw materials. India has many industries to build clothes etc before British came. But British destroyed it and only allowed processing of raw materials which was then sent to Britain for their industries. Indian people were self sufficient in food. But British forced them to farm for opium so they can profit which led to Bengal famine. Indian people became poor only during British period.
It's true that west had done rapid growth in science and industrial revolution at that time. So what? Is colonization necessary to transfer those ideas to the world. To colonize people(well massacre in North America), dehumanize them, snatch their industries to make them completely dependent on you and then force your religion, language, culture down their throats as of it is somehow related to scientific development.
@@SunilMeena-do7xn Paranoia? You go rebuild. We'll do the same.
@@alanharrison573 not sure about all of that pal! I appreciate victimhood isn't useful but you've well over egged what the British did for anyone not British... white British that's is... all the systems you speak of have held back those people die to reconditioning... if left alone this condor would have debrief at their own pace which would have been brute them not the British... remember those colonised nations had been around a lot longer than the colonisers but had chosen to remain naturally evolving people... closer to spirituality nature and the creator of all things... look at western civilisation now thanks to the industrial revolution?

As a Central European, I'm not surprised by how people from India were the first to discover or invent these things. India was like a larger version of Athens or Egypt where wisdom, philosophy, science, arts, education and everything technological was already ahead of time. Yes, we continue to sp ak in Englísh, so that dumb people will understand. These dumb people only know English and do not know any other language. Atleast, Indians know 3/4 languages and can understand many more. It's like a baby has to be fed by a spoon!

English is not my mother tongue, and I speak myself 3 languages, but I wouldn't dare to imply it's a proof of higher intelligence. I was mostly *lucky* to have this opportunity.
I think English is a good language to unify cultures as its structure is relatively easy to understand, even for a non English native. Of course, many languages are more complex and as such allow for a clearer and more precise and nuanced explanation or description of concepts, so it may lead to more profound research and science.

Im in the US, born in the early 90's. While I do believe there needs to be a huge revelation about the Indian intellectual contributions to the world, the Indian culture is very popular throughout the US. From eating in sync with my dosha, researching ayurvedic healthcare, practicing chants to Lakshmi, Gensha and other forms of God inspired and introduced by the Indian mind, amy daily life is full of influence from the Indian culture. I recall hearing some concept of the East becoming the West and the West becoming the East, I believe we see that now as the West craves a departure from the material world into the spiritual world and the East craves the opposite. This is why I have always thought Turkey and that region had a particular oppurtunity to forge proper balance.
Lol, you are dead wrong.

@@maxraines6004 Only a few of you guys are truly following it. Many people these days are not going to Churches and Hinduism seems fascinating to the west. Most of the western world's approach is capitalist in everything. They capitalise on everything. For example, just look at the number of yoga mats that get sold on Amazon each year while in India we mostly don't use yoga mats for yoga. Similarly with other accessories. For most of them, it's not a spiritual connection but more of a business opportunity.
@@RaviKumar-df5mk I absolutely agree, I am only saying that the process seems to be beginning. These things take hundreds if not thousands of years, I would think. Like a negative and positive battery transfering their charge to one another over a long period of time. It might just be a merging of cultures and some temporary global transfer of thought, but I am hopeful we are in the midst of an awakening. The West has become so terribly obsessed with ease of life, technology and unconscious living that they are missing the human experience and so have a terrible void within that they will eventually gravitate towards exploring the spirit. As for the East, I can't say as much since I have only visited a handful of countries, but the speed at which India, South Korea and China are accelerating towards dominating the global markets shows me an increase in that energy force that drives monetary gain.

As someone born and raised in South-East Asia, its not hard to think about a period where the influence of India was known in corner in Eastern Asia. I completely agree. I'm Polish and have many Indian friends. I spent some time in India and I was bit shocked by the seemingly blind obsession about English language and culture. When I learned that many primary schools in south India taught in English and not in native languages I was questioning my Indian friends why such neglect of their own culture. In Poland people value learning English too, but we are Polish and proud of our heritage and would consider it blasphemy to turn away from our heritage. My Indian friends seemed unmoved by my comments. India seems to be the most self proclaimed practical in all matters and seem to value practicality and prospects of better future abroad more than national pride. Personally I have no problem with western culture and West.. As I live there and people are really humble and kind too..
But what annoys me is that, West has this "boss ideology" which make them believe in their oppression over rest of the world, specially Asia...
Not only India but Asians are facing infiriority complex because of the same oppression of "colonist ideology"..
Asians think, English is modern but their own language is not important (not all but most)
They think wearing short clothes is modernity but wearing traditional dresses or cultural dresses is orthodoxic and inferior (in no way I'm saying short clothes are not good, as a women I also wear revealing clothes... But the fact that people think length of clothes show your modernity really annoys me... I mean I can be as Modernised while wearing my cultural dress as wearing bikini or west fusions)
You should read a book called "the journey home - an auto biography of an american swami'. Very inspiring, you will get to know more on india and its beautiful culture. I can share more if you are interested. :)
I am very proud of India and Our Indian culture.
10,000 Brits ruled over 300 million Indians for 200 years? Lol just insane
You must be proud of India's No.101 position in the World Hunger Index 😂😂😂😂
Name ONE thing you can be PROUD of???
@@molamola8305 So so-called "advanced" Indian civilization could not handle a few Europeans even when they outnumbered them 30000 to 1. Yes , 30K to 1. That's how backward Indian so-called civilization was. In fact it was NOT a civilization at all.
Proud of being a counterfeit when people with real knowledge know the real Indians are black
West Indians will always look up to our proud Indian Heritage ... Our culture is well alive in the West. 🇬🇾 🇸🇷🇹🇹
Amazing, palki, you have opened eyes of Indians who probably thought we are backward just because of our skin, language, the way we live and dress . This video must be played in every school as much as national anthem , again and again for life, nail it in the head, who we are and how strong our roots are . We guided the whole world, they are now going organic and our way of living in sync with circadian rhythm and nature. God bless you, a big fan of your reporting, indepth analysis. Keep up with good work
Remember people knowledge and wealth is accumulative, can only be built on previous knowledge and wealth. This is what they looted from here. It is totally fine to do the same to them C hina style.
you know one thing bro iam proud to be a brown guy so i dont think iam backword because of brown skin jai hind
Great show. We in the USA had been led down the dumbing down of our students by way of the European books and their selves thinking they should be the thought police for the world. Your heritage is so rich, deep and so old and I hope your country can turn time back and for your people to see they're something very special about themselves and by putting the European and Western cultures by the wayside and stop forgetting their history. Most Sincerely vicki
the real truth is the satanic zionist masonic money power corporates controls all ... there was never British 'colonies' ... However Indians,Chinese etc etc have COLONIZED Britain,Australia,Canada,USA etc over the past 75 years....
If we try, we are labeled as rightwingers, because all the scientist palki mentioned were celebrated Hindus of old and appreciating them would be going against the secular nature of this banana Republic. Another wacky political ideology that indian borrowed to dig their own graves.

Sadhguru did a phenomenal job on me to follow my own heritage.
Also Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism are not 4 different religions. It is one sanatana dharma.

Absolutely ❤
1. Will Durant, American historian: "India was the motherland of our race, and Sanskrit the mother of Europe's languages: she was the mother of our philosophy; mother, through the Arabs, of much of our mathematics; mother, through the Buddha, of the ideals embodied in Christianity; mother, through the village community, of self-government and democracy. Mother India is in many ways the mother of us all".
2. Mark Twain, American author: "India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only."
3. Albert Einstein, American scientist: "We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made."
4. Max Mueller, German scholar: If I were asked under what sky the human mind has most fully developed some of its choicest gifts, has most deeply pondered on the greatest problems of life, and has found solutions, I should point to India.
5. Romain Rolland, French scholar : "If there is one place on the face of earth where all the dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is India."
6. Henry David Thoreau, American Thinker & Author: Whenever I have read any part of the Vedas, I have felt that some unearthly and unknown light illuminated me. In the great teaching of the Vedas, there is no touch of sectarianism. It is of all ages, climbs, and nationalities and is the royal road for the attainment of the Great Knowledge. When I read it, I feel that I am under the spangled heavens of a summer night.
7. R.W. Emerson, American Author: In the great books of India, an empire spoke to us, nothing small or unworthy, but large, serene, consistent, the voice of an old intelligence, which in another age and climate had pondered and thus disposed of the questions that exercise us.

Great talk I am a Swedish /English, Australian citizen love your talks can you give a talk on how the English invented the present cast system and how Ghandi legitimised the subjugation of the lowest classes. I am sure it is a sensitive topic but history is important.
It’s a matter of time and people will come to know about the dark side of Gandhi
India's heritage sites are underestimated. Classic example is Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam in Tiruchirappalli, TamilNadu.
Srirangam temple is the largest functional Hindu temple in the world. It has been proposed to be declared as a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE in 2014. But it is still in the UNESCO's tentative list of sites since then, though the temple qualified with sufficient points to be declared as an World Heritage site, nothing moved further. Just a push from the central and the state governments would make it happen. But 8 years gone no action..
What about Supreme God Shiva. Kailash.

At the same time here in the West millions of people are taking yoga classes and are interested in indian philosophy and spirituality. It seems it is in the human nature to look around what other cultures do and try to imitate. And it is a positive thing to some extent. The important is to take the useful things and avoid the harmful ones, those that cannot exist in harmony with our own culture and environment.
True
They are stealing yoga not learning
Yogas is not just about poses and it is certainly not mere physical in nature, it is a part of religion so it upholds spirituality as well..
What west is doing with Yoga, I'll call it "appropriation" , and it is nothing to be proud of for sure.
It'll be better if west don't uses Yoga at all rather than using it like they do

Hindu history is not 5000 years old but it's billions of years old and Hindusim (Sanatan Dharm) has no organizer like other man made religion bcz Sanatan Dharm (Hindusim) is natural and billions of years old when Universe is started
Sanatan roughly means living beings and dhamra means responsibility and positivity. But some dumb westies translated dharma to religion and sanatan as its name 😂😂

The reason is simple. Macaulay was successful in creating a class of people like Nehru (great founding father of modern India) and he and his cabinet created today's Indian Education System. Of course increased globalisation is also responsible but it has only served the existing bias of the superiority complex.
Indians still blame the Brits for their poverty despite 75 years of independence? 😂😂😂😂
@John Xina Because Pakistan was born for hating hindus, india and above all themselves. They hate their own origin, hindu heritage and hindu ancestors. Hate takes you to destruction only.

Wow! Very great report Palii. Many of the points you brought up is exactly why I started looking to the East for my beliefs. Learning that so much of modern day science and astronomy was calculated way before what is read in my text books I grew up with.
Palki, you have the platform. Create a series of " What India gave the World" on your channel. Proudly proclaim it to the world.
The world sees India as apathetic.
Cuz currently it sucks. Ancient India was a no less than a paradise.
I have never worn suits ever in life except in college where it was compulsory. Now in couple of years i have gotten close to my culture and started wearing suits again. WE ALREADY HAD THE BEST WE JUST MISSED OUT ON IT 💪💪🙏❤❤

Awesome! You've summed it all Palki, "History will always be euro-centric, they will always be sharks stealing ideas and innovations". I am thrilled to learn of India's great breakthroughs in science and arts that are not globally documented.
India had only stories no inventions.
The more I read and watch the more I get to know about the rich and unmatched heritage and culture that we have. Being a lover of arts I get amazed to see the complexity and intricacies that our Indian art has and I can say that I am immensely proud of my heritage and the legacy of our great country which has stood the test of time. I will always embrace it and will try to help it flourish
The part that I admire the most in Indians is the Vegetarian culture, the respect for Nature, for the cows. In India poachers are shot to death and no questions are asked, and in my world that’s wonderful!
Indians, stay in India and work on make it the wisest and the best nation in the world as you can get there easily, along with Buthan. Other nations have so much to lear from these 2 Nations.
