  • Gain staging is the first step in getting great sound from your ToneMatch mixer. We will set the input trim for a microphone and then set the appropriate ToneMatch Preset.

    At the beginning of the video, I'm doing a factory reset so we don't bump into any old settings. You do not have to do a factory reset before you set the input trim on your ToneMatch mixer.

    Great series of video and I certainly appreciate the efforts that go in, but considering this has been out for such a long time there are poor instruction & very few videos really getting down with other settings: what if my mic isn’t listed? Dj settings? How do I play music from a flash drive?

    Very nice. Thanks
    I have a TS4 for model 2, there is another trim button when I connect the TS to the speaker base? Can you help explain best setting/location to set for the trim on the speaker base?

    Just one thing you CAN have the channel muted when setting the gain stage i.e. the green/red light. Mute only effects the main out sound (from memory it doesn't even mute the AUX out either).

    Nice tutorial. I’d like to know more specific metering in my T4S since there are only line bars and no dB’s notified in compressor gr-metering and channel input metering. So what is dB between two lines in both metering?

    Good video. Is there anyway to get rid of the MUTE messages taking up the middle of your screen when you’re trying to work in the unit? Anyway they could be programmed to show up in the left upper corner?

    Hi there, a question for the T8S tone match expert: is it possible to get reverb from the auxiliaries outputs ? Because it is not thé case on the T1 tone match. Thanks folks

    Hello, I have a t8S. I use it for Djing. I have a left/right set up. Top speakers, and subs. I was wondering if it’s possible to be able to run outputs to all four speaker/subs independently for more control. Sometimes I don’t want the bass to be on at all, and I think it would be nice to control them on their own.
    I run from my pioneer mixer to the t8S. Then from the t8S using the master out via xlr to the top speakers. I am using channels 7, and 8 for the left/right. I’d like to use 5, and six for the subs.
    I tried routing the aux outs, but it’s not convenient to Have to go into the pan/aux menus to turn down/up the subs. I’d like to use the tactile knobs that are on the mixer itself. Is this possible? If so, how do I do this?
    Thanks everyone for your help.

    I am back...3 years later. Hopefully you will see this. I want to use two guitars. Let's say one is a D28 and the other is a Fender Stratocaster. There are tone match selections for these two instruments. Is it possible to plug the Martin in input 1 and set it up with the D28 tone match and the Stratocaster in output 2 and set that one up with the Stratocaster tone match and then save it as a Scene for future use? is so, how would that be done.
    Thanks.

    Okay, I may be stupid, but what does it do? Measuring the rooms IR and than fit the right settings to the mix? Is there some internal microphone inside of the mixer? I don't fully understand...

    Hy, I just bought a Sennheiser with an MMD 945 capsule. Only the Micro E855 is referenced in the presets while there are many Shures. Do you know how we can get additional presets adapted to our equipment? THANKS

    Will that work the same for setting up a guitar?

    • @BoseProfessional
      @BoseProfessional  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John, the principles are the same:
      Set the input trim so you see solid green on the trim light.
      Set the ToneMatch Preset to match your instrument.

    Can you connect this mixer to a computer?

    • @BoseProfessional
      @BoseProfessional  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can route two channels or the main buss to the USB B to PC output. See: toonz.ca/bose/wiki/index.php?title=T8S_USB_to_PC
      Thanks for asking.

    Is the difference in the T4S worth the extra money over the T1? -- Like what's the difference in the two, other than channel 5/6 added?
    Thx!------ Post the answer = gain a sub! XD

    First of all in the real world if u ever had your trim that high u would have awful feedback. Master should be set to 12. 15 years Experience with Bose L1s and their mixers, 1,600+ gigs, trim can never be > 12:00. Master 12:00 and Vocal Channel just past 12:00.
