he Swedish automaker developed the CCGT to compete in the prestigious GT1 class. However, its hopes of stirring the motorsport pot were dashed when, two months after conducting official testing with the FIA, the rules for the GT1 class changed. As a result, the CCGT was shelved, and eventually, the GT1 class was discontinued in 2011. But now, the CCGT is eligible for historic GT racing.
